  • Basically the O.P tried to warn us all but no one listened and now were all gonna die, or something like that.
  • 1600 something days, why on earth wouldn't you buy a lifetime at that point? I don't understand all this freaking out, it's getting bloody stupid at this point, so things take a little longer, OH WELL.
  • Its pretty lame that rather than make an effort to tell stories they just fall back on ez mode. The kdf is aligned with the orions, would be natural and much more interesting is the intelligence branch of the Klingon empire was now the domain of the syndicate, and the tensions that would create in the Klingon alliance ,…
  • Thanks for the info, I actually decided to keep plugging along, leveling past 50 in the Romulan arc isn't bad since I reworked my skills and boffs the new space combat just requires more than autofire, and that's a good thing
  • I dislike how similar to the federation the Romulan faction feels in game, It's very lazy writing. The Romulan faction woudl have been much more interesting if instead of the whole lets rebuild a civilization to mimic the federation, they had instead made the faction about covert operations, joining the other factions as…
  • oh, didn't even realize the exchange was cross faction, thanks man
  • Casual lifetime member here, game seems fine. Probably drop a couple bucks end game to help me along, but free expansion makes that perfectly fine. Game needed some difficulty and endgame chops, can only get better from here. Buying a lifetime sub was one of the best MMO investments I've made.
  • I just started on them a couple weeks ago, here's what I do. Initially I went and did the Dyson ground stuff for a play session, after an hour and a bit I had a nice chunk of marks, enough to run the 20hr project 5 times. I just loaded up the 20 hr and kept doing it, saving marks for when it was ready again. Did nukara the…
  • Aquiring this gear will take time, you aren't supposed to just log in and be max geared and grinding the hardest content in the game in a week. The game is pretty fair as far as upgrading goes, it makes crafting relevant as well. I'm fine with the system, I get that this game needs to make money in order to continue…
  • The hangar bay sealed it for me for the akrif, it just adds a little bit more fun to your game. The ship is very fun, moves well and looks great, it can put out a lot f damage and between the singularity powers and the hangar pets it has lots of flexibility for when you just want to make things less min/max and more…
  • thank you:)
  • I started back in beta, KDF was awful, today its a hell of a lot better. Legacy of Romulus added a great set of missions at the start that I think was better written, and more fun than the Romulan and Federation starter experience. The hard truth is that most people aren't into playing KDF. Cryptic can't force people to…
  • 1. Will there be a t6 Orion ship? Can it's traits be about stealing and smuggling. 2. The kdf has awesome racial ships, why not a t6 refit instead of waiting or possibly never seeing them at t6 in game? they took so much time and effort back in the times of trouble. 3. Will there be a time down the road when tanking is…
  • Kobali prime sounds interesting, I think I just liked the personality of Nimbus, especially as a romulan, you get to that point in the story and you've got the same officers for a bit, geared out and some new duds, I don't hate Tovan as much as others, I kind of enjoyed the additions of Boffs with back stories that you did…
  • I kind of hate the dps only method, I'd like to see STO have more diversity as far as team composition. I don't think the threat mechanics are even working properly, it's just a mess. Maybe we don't need the trinity, but we need something, in the meantime I'll just keep flying whatever the hell I want and turning off chat.
  • I log in when something new comes out, but rarely stay for more than a few days. If there was more player driven type stuff to keep things fresh between content releases I'd probably hang around. The foundry was great, but the tools need an update badly, and both the foundry and any real pvp development seem to be far off…
  • I think this is a great idea for the marks type events, but the other ones not so much. Keeping things as is and just making certain weekends double rewards is a good bet.
  • This is on the reasons I largely lose interest with STO and end up playing other games after content dumps. The game was never designed to deal with things like the trinity, it's just a zerg/respawn fest until you win or lose the activity. I's love to see cryptic really implement some group play with tanking and healing,…
  • There have always been more feds yes. I played Klingon at launch, our fleet was massive, we had two other fleets that we were allied with. Our 50 slot vent server was at capacity round the clock. We had 7 different pvp channels alone. Three months later there were 5 people left, everyone quit after the absolute debacle…
  • I thought Dorn was pretty much reading line for line, He paused dramatically once, but even in combat he had no urgency or depth to his delivery. Crosby was blah the first time, but when she did Sela you could tell she'd warmed up to it. I'd like to hear Will Wheaton in STO, he's done a few audio books now and he's got…
  • This is an old discussion, since launch players have wanted better pvp and territory control, but star trek is just not a pvp game, I gave up on seeing it a long time ago. I recommend just finding some really good pvp games, and enjoying those. I log in to STO when new story lines come along, or when a season launches, but…
  • Ah but if you chose compassionate or Dutiful as personality traits for your officers they could say things like this on critical hits or killing a foe compassionate "I do what I must, I take no joy in this." Dutiful "Neutralized on your orders sir"
  • It would really be interesting in combat as well if critical hits caused taunts to be triggered based on personalities, also incapacitated flavour text. Hopefully a dev will catch the thread. It's strange how since dragon age there really hasn't been a solid party based rpg. Bridge officers are such a great unique…
  • it is a fantastic mission, I'd love to see rura done as a zone like nimbus
  • Exploration can't be relegated to a Window where you add some consumables and doffs and wait for a cool down. This would be awful. That isn't game play, and exploring space done properly with real creativity and quality would be much more profitable for STO in the long run than making it a mini game. Something that blends…
  • KDF, my main is KDF and in a fleet that is building a starbase, and I've been seeing more kdf activity since LOR, so that's a great thing, now that the factions are pretty much sorted PVE wise and have plenty to do I hope the KDF gains parity population wise. Sure it's a bit more of a search to find the right fleet and get…
  • You bring up some good points, I hadn't considered the impact the new KDF 1-20 might have on Klingon popularity, as I would agree it is very engaging and likely to keep a player invested more in the KDF as a Klingon than Romulan hybridization would.
  • I don't think linking to Peregin's personal whine platform is acuratley going to predict how many players will choose to ally with the KDF.
  • Ah, while my captain is flying under the romulan republic's banners, it doesn't mean he can't go ahead and do a little side marauding here and there...I mean space is big, and I can cloak. Besides, your an ally of the KDF, and the KDF respect a healthy dose of glory and pillaging. So in order to earn the respect of your…
  • The Klingon empire is where you want to go, the Klingon gear just looks better, and once you fiddle about here and there the hybrid KDF uniform mixed with the Tal Shiar disguise you get later make for a pretty amazing looking uniform. Also the Klingon Omega set is one of the most unique sets in the game, the helmet alone…
