I have the same issue. I just upgraded the 23c photon grenade from my starter kit to Mk XIV, but cannot drag the power to my tray.

That's not a bug. That's working as intended.

Since we're talking about the Tailor, I still can't use the knit hat (from last year's Winter Event) on my Benzite male. The "hats" option simply isn't available.

Have you tried claiming it from the ship vendor at spacedock instead of the C-Store? I was able to do that.

This is correct. The saucer is already detached when I'm hit by the ability. I have trouble imagining this is working as intended, mostly because it makes no sense.

STO is also "controlled content and approved by the Paramount studios" (actually CBS, who own the rights to the non-JJ stuff). And others have pointed out the multitude of sources that support Sol being on the Alpha/Beta border. TL;DR: Relax. :)

The only "evidence" one could have of the post-Hobus state of affairs that would affect STO is...STO. Anything that may have come up in novels or what have you (which I don't follow) can be used or disregarded as the devs see fit.
