This definitely isn't tacofangs' department, but I noticed this as well. It's weird to see a scientist at the Operations console, etc. I don't really know where the game pulls bridge crew from - I assume it's based on your boff seating in the ship, but it could also be the Department Heads set through the doff system. I…
I think it actually needs a lot of work to look like the series. Besides the missing areas (most notably the Infirmary and Security Office), the textures should be completely redone. All of the textures look very...dirty, for lack of a better word, and the colours are all just a little bit off. The "black" Cardassian…
While we're engaging in Fleet Starbase-related wishful thinking, I'd love to see the proper 2410 LCARS applied to the consoles in the Federation starbase...
Sarcasm aside, I agree with you for the most part. I'd love to see the Origin interior in-game. I just wanted to clarify that it was never promised. And since ship interiors are a topic I'm interested in, I can provide you with a little bit of background on them. The system as it's currently set up is apparently a bit of a…
The Origin-style interiors (aside from the bridge) were never intended to be given to players. In fact, this was explicitly stated in a thread on these very forums, shortly after the bridge became available.
I read a theory that it's not a geographical map, but a genetic map, thus opening the door to Inhumans in the future, and circumventing the No Mutants Allowed problem.
I'm more-or-less fine with it as-is. It's not really acknowledged much in-game, but in my opinion that just helps reinforce being an Intelligence officer as just another career track in Starfleet - nothing particularly special about it.
I thought it was all right, though the character work wasn't as solid as the last couple of episodes. I feel like they touched on a lot of really great ideas - Clara acts more like the Doctor, and the Doctor is somewhat put off by what he sees - but the episode could have made its point a little more explicit. What did…
Actually, there are options to ask NPCs for more information about the species which are truly important to the story. As for the Kazons and Malon, believe me when I say the game gives you more information than you really need. :P
I forgot to mention this earlier, but Murray Gold's score for the episode was amazing. He went for a kind of 60s vibe, rather than 1920s, and I loved it.
Honestly, despite the fact that it doesn't make much sense from an evolutionary concept, the fact that people are reacting so strongly to the Kobali is a pretty good indication that the idea is a good one. It's a great concept to hang a story on, and I'm glad they're being included in-game.
I'd like to see this fixed too, but I'm sure it's low, low priority. Possibly related: it used to be that when I'd aim my weapon, my boffs would aim theirs as well. No more.
Sure you could. I think the difference here is that Clara is actively sabotaging her Earthbound personal life, which she wants. To make some comparisons across the revived series: Rose: Ran away from her personal life, and wasn't too upset about it. Martha: Ditto, coupled with her romantic interest in the Doctor. Donna:…
