Makes me wonder what is actually being discussed, since the Exeter isn't a real "Star Trek" ship but is supposedly being refused. Since we don't know what CBS actually said there's a good chance of incompetence on the "negotiations" or "discussions" side.
Did they ever say that? Evidence has been requested of this before and the conclusion is that it is an urban legend. So you're not getting anything out of the way except your credibility.
If anything the Starfleet cloaking devices (Defiant/AGT Enterprise) should be downgraded with a chance to fail, as they so frequently did on the show. If you want battlecloak on the Federation side then they gave us allied Warbirds for that.
I got bored of repeating the same story episodes with a new character, so I ended up leveling (mostly) by doing Sector Patrols. It keeps it fresh and interesting because they are short (10-15 minutes) and a mixture of combat and tricorder scanning. It's also actually faster to level this way. Try that.
Boredom is your choice. I acknowledge (but do not empathise with) the people that see tenure in a game (to the exclusion of other pursuits) is more important than enjoyment. I personally don't see enduring something that isn't fun to be a badge of honour. If you're not doing it for fun, you're doing it wrong. Find…
I'm inclined to think that it will be at least a 2 ship release (if not a 3) since that's the way they do things now. You see it in the Lobi ships and Romulan ships, with the set bonuses. And even the free Breen ships. Game design led by marketing design of OCD and the compelling motivation to have it all and if you don't…
Romulans shouldn't lose Battlecloak - since Romulans are the original cloakers they rightly have the best cloaking technology. The problem of "battlecloak" vs normal "cloak" - the distinction was obviously originally conceived to be what made Birds of Prey (or "Raiders") special, since they were the only ones to have it.…
I'm sure you could come up with the right analogy. As far as increasing uniqueness, supposedly the Federation with all their science ships. The problem being is that Science ships are subpar. Considering Cruisers got their buff and the Raider class got this one, a Science ship improvement should be in the queue somewhere.
I'm thinking along the lines of the Klingons were the "greatest threat" during TOS and the idea of "defense force" of an Imperial power further waters down what was a warrior culture over time and multiple Star Trek series. Using the strict definition of Flanderization, would be the increasing emphasis on "past glory" and…
The Flanderizing starts with calling the Military the "Defense Force" which is a rather 20th Century Politically-Correct and watered down label, especially for an Imperial power.
Well the "names" of the ship are incidental to their actual identity. Consider that the official designation is that all Romulan (large) ships are "Warbirds". Even though some of the warbirds resemble escorts or cruisers or science ships in capability. No Romulan Warbird received Cruiser Commands, even if is big and turns…
The Raider class should remain unique to the Klingons. Demanding homogeneity across factions and professions is the equivalent of demanding that mages should be allowed to wield double axes and wear plate armour. Or demanding that dark elves should be able to use holy spells. Etc. etc.
If Humans and Klingons could be friends you would get: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102975/ Star Trek: The Next Generation http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092455/
It's more like they can only concentrate on one thing at a time - which is why addressing the "escorts online" question is answered first with Cruiser Commands, then Raider Flanking. The pattern is they will work their way through the other ships to give them more distinctive roles.
In the Star Trek show, aliens were used as ciphers for examining humanity. This includes the Voth, and their role in the Voyager episode. From Roddenberry: http://tos.trekcore.com/episodes/sea...x01/audio.html "Perhaps I could use this as an excuse to go to those far off planets, with little polka-dotted people, if…
It's poor form to heckle someone for being ignorant - even if it is "common knowledge". I actually consider it a programming oversight - for all such limitations, the coding should be linked. I.e. if you only have the 10 million limit, you should not be able to list any single item (or bundle of items) at a higher amount.
Well, it is curious that the "Assault Cruiser" can't use Dual Heavy Cannons, but the TOS Enterprise can. I acknowledge the limitation on the whole is a game design decision.
That's right, If you use a space skill like "Evasive Maneuvers" then enter DS9, when you come out the cooldown picks up where it leaves off. And similarly, when you use one of the special tribbles, the 1 hour countdown only ticks down while your character spends time in that zone.
Funny but you're off base. In fact, every member of the human race has the right to judge character. I judge people on the basis on how they treat others. And the worthless people I am referring to are those that abuse and belittle others on the basis of their "game performance" - the best way to put it. Those people that…
Actually it's more a case of the type of people that get attracted to PvP in games are the type of characters that get defeated in Star Trek on a weekly basis.
It seems to be inline with their philosophy of dealing with inadequacies by adding other advantages - i.e. cruisers got cruiser commands Seeing as the Birds of Prey are so fragile if they are going to be glass cannons then I suppose they need to be more cannon-y if not less glass-y
Thread starts with a false proposition about "fear" of a revamp. When in fact there is no such fear. Unless "Fear" is being used as a provocative world to troll. As someone else already posted "Apathy" is the correct word. Most people just don't care. Don't attempt to equate lack of interest and insignificance as fear. It…
