If the Season 8 game data is any indication, there will be shenanigans involving gingerbread men (and women, presumably). Also, an upgraded snow cannon-type thingy that is significantly larger than last year's snow guns. I also expect all of last year's stuff to return, albeit perhaps in a slightly modified format. Oh, and…
As with any additional software, my first instinct is very, very negative. I do not at all want to install something additional in order to keep doing what I've been doing for a long time. I do not like Steam, I do not like Origin, I do not want anything like that on my computer. If Arc use becomes mandatory, whoever is…
Well, positrons are basically anti-electrons, electrons with a positive charge rather than a negative charge. Gravitons are hypothesized to be the mediating bosons for the gravitational force, but haven't been conclusively proven yet. ..... oh, that wasn't your question? Oops. :P
I highly suspect that we will see the swimsuits that are already in the game data made available for the summer event. I think people are mis-reading the current blog posting a bit, and that's it's more like "no info regarding swimwear in this blog post; check back later."
The "uniform" bit doesn't have anything to do with whether or not something is player-wearable, insofar as I can tell. It mainly seems to refer to which slot the piece belongs to. UniformU for shirts, jackets, and whatnot. UniformL for pants, skirts, etc., and so on for other parts like hands, feet, etc.
Oh, I forgot to mention I've never paid money for anything in STO and never plan to, so reducing the dilithium price per zen is a very good thing in my book!
As much as I dislike the dilithium being removed from basically every method I used prior to Season 7, the extreme shortage this will create will drive up the value of my stockpile of dilithium, meaning I can buy more Zen with it, which is a good thing. So there is a silver lining. Still, the blatantly contradictory…
Well, it seems the minimum tier is: 1 EDC --> 250 Marks and 1 BNP There's then no change in rewards until you hit the minimum requirements for the next tier; the requirements for tier 2 are at MOST: 6 EDC and 2 Rare Salvage -> 500 MArks and 3 BNP The min. tier 2 requirements may well be less, further testing is necessary.…
We're definitely going to want to find the exact tiering, so we can determine precisely how many of each item to carry over, and convert the rest to dilithium, to maximize rewards.
I'd love to, but it's entirely up to Cryptic, not me. If they say, "Sure, feel free to discuss how to make client-side mods for STO," then we'll talk, and not before then.
The devs don't want to do it make it easy for users to do because they don't want people doing weird things en masse to the NPCs in STO, which is exactly what the first NPC-costume-mod did. I won't tell you what that mod is, but you should be able to Google search for it and find it.
The uniforms for NPCs, including the randomly walking NPCs around starbases, ESD, ships, DS9, and many more are already client-controllable. Client-side mods can change these NPCs' uniforms to whatever you want -- provided you know how, anyway.
