Exit to character select

Just something I've alwas wished the game had. AN option to exit the game and go to the character log in screen instead of exiting to the login screen and having to log back in. Sure it's only a matter of 5 or 10 seconds, but still.......

    I was hoping I wasn't the only one wishing for this.
    It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

    If this ever becomes an option, it'll probably cost fleet marks and dilithium to unlock, and then a per-usage fee in Zen every time you change characters.
    Does Arc install a root kit? Ask a Dev today!

    Yeah, this... Especially as following our forced relocation, those who took on new login IDs now have to retype not just their passwords, but their usernames as well, cause the UI still fills in the old Cryptic one if you tell it to remember for you.

    Absolutely agree! :cool:

    It would also be wonderful if, when we exited the Foundry editor, we were taken back to the character select screen instead of completely logged out.

    TBH this is standard in most mmos, come on cryptic make our life easier.

    Awesome, I will love this feature! Thanks for finally adding it. I swap around on my 2 characters often before I really get started to play missions. So this is really worth it!

    Finally! This is good news as it can be a real pain when you have quite a few characters like myself, I always wonder if my friends get annoyed when they see me log on/Log off constantly to switch characters.

    Question is when will this button be properly added?

    I wonder if this is a consequence of hiring up some of those Paragon folks.

    They figured out the trick to do it in CoH and games are architecturally very similar.

    I wondered that too, but I've just noticed that this option is also available in the RaiderZ stress test client (another perfect world game nearing release).

    Seems like more dividends of being part of the perfectworld family are starting to trickle in.

    We were never told it was "not possible", we were told it required code changes. Anything is possible; some things are just more of a pain to code than others, and there's only so many hours in the day.

    Yes, this is such and Pain in the A--

    I hate having to log out to change toons and nothing i can do can get rid of my preferred user name that i cant use now thanks to the merger. when im in a rush or sleepy i forget to change it. i even reinstalled windows trying to fix that. Oh how my fingers hurt just thinking about all the extra typing!!!

    p.s. I finally open that twitter thingy with this next to useless work computer and I LOVE what i saw. Even as i type new life and strength floods into my finger as they realizes their labours will soon be lessoned. No oatmeal tomorrow, im opening a box of bran flakes to celebrate!!!

    finally i can change my password!

    its burned in so hard in my DNA from typing it 50+ times a day, even if i change it and know i changed it my reflexes still type in the old password for 3 days, then i get annoyed and change it back to the old password because of all the failed log ins...

    FINALLY some account security ;P


    This is the same level of awesome the new big mouse cursor was!
