Damnation is one of the 2 feats I use with my SW and I am pretty sure that these changes are not enough to make me use this feat in party content. It will be very weak compared to Fury and Temptation and it will require big changes to be on par (risking to make it overpowered on solo play). My suggestion when class changes…
I think most players will agree that SW is one of the weakest classes today. Low DPS, low utility as support make him unwanted in end game content. Cryptic is preparing some changes for the class but they will not come to PC earlier than January 2018 and the majority believe that they are not enough. For more information…
The way I see it, there is a public demand for pushing more resources into bug fixing than new content. I could be wrong but there is a really easy way to find out. Send ingame mail to all acounts with the following poll. Should we: a. Assign more resources to bug fixing, delaying the development of new content. b. Assign…
OK, let me say what I do and point out where is my mistake: -While the mount is in the stable (no active bonus) I check my movement (513) and run speed bonus (+1.3%) -I equip the mount and check again. I would expect an increase of 15% on movement or on bonus but they remain the same. Shouldn't the 15% increase be visible…
@ Asterdahl I understand why you have introduced Random Queuing system but I am afraid it has created more problems than it have solved. One of the problems I see is the requirement to have everything unlocked in order to get in the random queues (and thus earn AD). New players could start earning AD from level 12+, now…
Any one else having problem with disconnections? After maintenance, I have been disconected 3 times from a dungeon (Kassel's retreat) on different points of the dungeon (first time in the middle, second time after killing last boss but before getting the box and third time at the begining). Are there problems on other…
Initially, I was not sure the problem was on more people so I asked here. Now I know that many people have the problem of random disconnects (my alliance confirmed it). As for posting in the post "Unable to play", it doesn't seem right. I can play with interuptions, while other people can't even login. Not exactly the same…
Seeing the sheer amount of bugs reported, I can't help but think that maybe Cryptic needs to dedicate more time into this. If Cryptic is worried about content delay, simply ask the players (forum, ingame mail, or other) what they want. Keep balance between new content and bug fixing or focusing on bug fixing for a time.…
I am pleased that this thread has become so constructive by this vast exchange of ideas and opinions. I would like to add my own opinion on the matter of SW improvement. I believe that skill trees should be specialized by removing the "all around skills" that make them jack-of-all-trades-and-master-of-none and add skills…
RNG is badly implemented on this game. The game company refuses to improve it because the ward sales are probably one of their major cash bringers (or so I suspect).
An explanation provided by a GM in another game (which I personally agree) is this: If macros make tasks easier but still require you behind the keyboard/mouse it is fine. If they perform tasks that don't require your presence behind the keyboard/mice, it is botting. I found this to be a golden guide when programming…
This is one of many discussions regarding various RNG occurancies and shortcomings. The truth is that RNG if not carefully planned, can destroy a game. The reason for this is that it defeats the purpose of hard work; when players do many times a task that takes time and effort, they expect some kind of reward. Adding RNG…
Exactly, results seem to be random on specified days (although I get enough purple quality). Problem is that Union seem to be more rare than the others (although this can be purery due to poor RNG).
Regarding the "Identify all" option, I would like to point out that it would better be on identification scrolls rather than on unidentified items. That way, we could identify all items using a certain type a scroll first instead of another. I prefer to apply my choices instead of an automated system.
RNG in a game should be built in a way that the end results for a player should even out close to the chances description in the long run. Otherwise, many players will abandon the game due to a bad effort to reward ratio.
I am fully aware that free to play=more work and didn't say anything different. I did say though, that things you can get with more work should have a reasonable time frame of acquiring. If playing for x months creates the need for 10 specific items and by that time you only have 2, then I hope you understand the problem.…
What you say about AD->ZEN is true, but considering that AD is needed almost for anything in this game, you must constantly farm content for AD, leaving aside quests for gear, boons, etc. If normal content would produce AD, that would not be a problem, but it doesn't.
We should not miss the point about wards here. A lot of them are needed (either pres or coal) and their supply through game itself is incredibly low. Thus, people are forced to buy them through ZEN shop. This needs to change by introducing some chain of quests that will increase the supply. A game that wants to call itself…
The problem with wards is that their "free" version (from opening coffers) is in very short supply. Considering an account with 3 characters and assuming you don't miss a single pray, one can get 54 coffers every 100 days (little more than 3 months). How many wards can we expect from those coffers? One can argue about RNG…
I am not sure if I got this right, but from what I understand selecting a specific number of dungeons to play is still a posibility but doesn't give bonus. Random ques is an extra feature, not the only way to go, right?
My reaction to these changes: -Regarding the refinement points changes, I really like what you did here. The reduction in items that need to be stored and overall simplification of the system is a great idea. -New Tiers I don't like so much. It creates more resources required to get to the end item and by that I only mean…
This happens when developers make the mistake of creating something overpowered (speaking generally here, this is the case on every game). Players tend to make this a trend, ignoring all other options. After that the drama begins, leading to a dead end. Developers realise that this is too strong since no one is using…
Just out of curiocity, how did you manage to get enough resources in 1.5 months daily grind (while I supposed you leveled as well) to get 3XR12 bondings? Can you make a guide or something?
