  • I have only vaguely heard of this from a few friends and have never noticed the post about it in all this time. It is not really that hard to miss. It is not presented in-game anywhere as part of the game or a feature to take advantage of. I would imagine 99.9% of newcomers to Champs have no idea it exists either and will…
  • What feature was that? Also... May be a moot point if we never get to log in lol.
  • Same for the Fire Form and other PBAOE form passives. None of them deal damage anymore.
  • So long as they are using Charges and either doing it constantly or you manage to coordinate that short window so that they get to take advantage of it. There are a few powers in this game that help with speed of charges and I rarely see anyone using them. Aura of Arcane Clarity does this and more and I almost NEVER see a…
  • On things that have a charge time that this would actually effect? I mean I see full charge moves being used when the charge period is short and even then sparingly mostly but any of the serious ones seem to mostly just get spammed at low charge because they are not worth full charge in my experience. The DR thing is valid…
  • It is a real shame that they changed it as they did. A charge reduction bonus is nearly useless compared to a flat-out damage buff. I rarely see people use charge attacks fully charged unless they are super fast to charge to begin with. Also, did we really need to kill the advantage of the two shields? I mean I know the…
  • I have to admit I would need less slots if I could change my Pose without changing my Costume. Depends: Based on actual Hardware/Software limitations or Business Model?
  • Well... There goes me buying any more costume slots.
  • I still am not clear on how these changes affect FF slots honestly.
  • The Premium Pack is a one time purchase and I have no idea about FF slots. I can imagine the monthly sub reward was a bit of a drain on resources that they felt was not worth it in addition to event stuff and purchasable costumes.
  • It is a bit rough when I am in full agreement with Spinny but on this subject I'd say they nailed it. To expand just a little on that excellent list though: If you are primarily Melee there are some targets you just cannot hit reliably (like the Orbs in Nemcon or the Exocite's in Lemurian Invasion for instance) where…
  • Medical Nanites + the Sentinel and Sentry (I think is the other one) Specialization tree is great for healing and defenses. Especially if you pack in Inertial Dampeners. Arcane Vitality is a good heal also that does not require you lose life or gain additional aggro through attacking. However it is not as strong.
  • In this context tank viability actually IS determined by your ability to out-threat other tanks. We are talking about Aggro here not surviveability. If you cannot hold Aggro you are not much use as a Tank. As for having tough Healers I would generally recommend all healers try to be rather tough.
  • Aye... It would be neat if CC's on immune target had some other affect. Maybe a damage reduction like Fear or an increase in damage Taken.
  • It is counted on each thing it heals (which can be as much as 50 things I believe) and because it is generally "Over Healing" due to nothing needing healing it generates a LOT of initial threat. The main thing here though is that healing threat of this sort does not seem to stack up. That is: You get that initial big…
  • Today in FM I was taking aggro from a lvl 40 tank who had some actual good gear on my poison dps build in ranged offensive role using mostly venomous breath and running armadillo gear. That was a bit sad. Before you ask: No threat boosts on my DPS character here and no taunts. I am not sure if the tank actually had taunts…
  • There are two big issues for healers. 1) Healing Auras generate massive threat because they are counted as healing even if they heal nothing. So before anyone else can generate threat you will unless you hang way back. 2) Over healing. Any time you "heal over the maximum HP of the target" it counts for a LOT of threat.…
  • Stuns, Paralyzes, Sleep, Incapacitation, to some extent Snare and other strong movement debuffs. The mind control and confusion CC is worthless.
  • Looking for what exactly? How much threat each one generates or how much damage they generate? Because besides having or not having "Challenge" I am pretty sure the amount of Threat will be = to their damage dealing power. The only attack I can think of that generates more threat on its own is Defensive Combo.
  • I am not sure why you are not seeing the wire-frame blue bubbles that comes out to warn you that you are about to be knocked. You may want to zoom out during the upper platform fight because if you cannot see off the edge of the platform (the blacker area) then you may not see it because it is blue on blue. As for the…
  • I would likely game this event pretty much immediately. I know enough people to set up easy wins for one and then the other.
  • Well if we use it like most Shooters then it should get massive regen if you can get out of taking damage for a time. In that case it is definitely more of a Support/Balanced Passive. Otherwise it would want to have high resistances when it was up to full strength slowly losing them as it dwindled but there is no reason…
  • Or Toxic Breathe with its Stunning advantage. Pair these with I believe Sentinel's final Specialization that allows you to give everyone who hits a stunned critter a super version of Mend and not only can you stun lock looots of goons but you can help heal your party while they kill them too.
  • pr0fp0tts: Your take is interesting to read. I have seen people faceplanting the way you suggest and it is really tricky to keep them in the game. It is a bit rough that as a Tank it can be difficult at times to catch the spawn-ins before they run roughshod over the squishies. I do find that bringing a healer or heavy…
  • The biggest key to doing well in the QWZ, as with a lot of content really but it is more important here, is just watch where you are going and what you are aggroing. As long as you pick your battles and make your enemies fight on your terms you will generally be fine. If you just run into them and let them have their way…
  • Pro Tip: When dealing with the Zero G part if you have any abilities that force you to stand still while using them (Like Minigun etc) then using those abilities will stop you from moving. Pro Tip: Knock Back is finally useful! Don't want to fight all those Minions while you are dealing with the force field nodes on the…
  • I uhm... Just have to say... I have never seen that before but it is kind of AWESOME... Still, I get why you do not want it.
  • Wow... I've never seen the Rampages do that... Eeesh.
  • I managed to once but the suggestion was ignored. Likewise I managed to suggest the core twice but it was also ignored. *shrugs* What you gonna do?
  • There have been many times when I WISHED I could Solo Que or at least Partial-Que things... But alas it is not to be. Weeelll... I mean... It caaan be more frustrating with the wrong mix of folks but as long as you are not too put off by some failures then it is not sooo bad going PUG wild with it. I've pugged it quite a…
  • Actually, initially, he was not asking a question at all. He only started to have to ask questions because you brought up that players do not use con because of Forms which had absolutely nothing to do with what he said. Forms do not factor into this discussion based on exactly what you quoted him saying. Shall we go over…
  • Uhm... I might ask the obvious questions: Why not get help? Why not use a better build? I use a lot of builds that do not rely at all on items or hard to get gear sets and they do just fine. My Regen tank can solo QWZ with ease and with her companion in tow it goes real fast. My dodge tank can also do it and with her…
  • Oops, I meant Field Surge. I thought it was called Power Surge because I wasn't looking at it. I really do not see why it is so OP. All PFF does is provide extra HP for all intents and purposes. You know what the difference between a PFF user with 10K HP and 10K Shield and a Invulnerability user with 20K HP is? One of them…
  • I see a lot of people dis Regen but if you are tanking with a healer who adds any resistance at all (and I rarely run into healers who don't come with either AoRP or MN) then it is EASY to reach resistance levels so close to Defiance from the first hit to the last that it makes defiance really sort of meh. After all, you…
  • It is probably not a graphics issue... It is a problem with how that particular bubble works. Usually with bubbles like that you are on a flat surface with a lot of space around you to see the bubble come out. In this case you were PROBABLY looking at the force field and the core itself when the bubble showed up. Both are…
  • These mods would be nice. Right now PFF has no way to be directly healed other than PS. That is a problem. Another problem is that its Regen will often just fail entirely once it is depleted at which point you are HP tanking without any reprieve. My own PFF tank takes various measures to make this work and are ok but they…
  • Spinny get your head on straight. What eviltwintwo here asked is why don't more people who are DD's use Con as a Super Stat to increase their surviveability? They added in that because it is a SS it contributes to your damage regardless of what Stat it actually is. Forms have NOTHING to do with what they asked. They did…
  • I really do not get what you are talking about. In what way is this alert any different than any other Alert for teaching the game? It is less complicated than Cybermind and mostly just ROFLSTOMP endless waves of enemies while working to kill specific things... Oh wow... So complex. Good teaming is SO required... You need…
  • They don't need to cut it just not include it as part of a particular lineup. I would have to agree that Cybermind should be its own thing considering you do not even get the mission from the same place and it has previous missions to even get it. It would be better if Cybermind was an even onto itself or maybe even made…
  • Alerts are easy enough to do. I love getting to do Nemcon if I can manage to convince people to do it. MD's in MI are fun. Events can be alright. Seeing what sort of ridiculous things I can tank with my main tank is one of my fun past times. The QWZ is fun for that.
  • Any Alert that has Psi Agents. Get their attention and sooner or later they will give you the unstoppable knock back. They are the worst violators. It is not a huge deal but if someone is blocking them and wonders why it did not matter it is because they are borked not because of block. I have been blocking them inside a…
  • Eeeh. That can happen in many of the Alerts though. If you wait a few moments it clears out.
  • It should be noted that some mobs are broken and do not care if you block or not you will still get held or knocked. The Psi Agent comes to mind.
  • TBVH only holds and stuns are useful CC's and even those are only useful against very specific enemies in very specific missions. 99% of the game makes CC's absolutely worthless because you would be better off just killing whatever trash mob actually succumbs to them.
  • It can be rather useful in combination with Reconstructive Circuits which will trigger it. Generally you do not need Rank 3 on that shield if you have a tanking passive.
  • Why bother with support classes? Just bring massive DPS. That is all you really need in this Alert. Kill all the mobs faster than they can spawn, kill the turrets, kill the forcefields, and then decide how you feel like finishing it off. No AoE CC Toon is going to be anywhere near as useful as a powerful DPS AoE toon.…
  • There is not really a whole lot of reason to get past DuraClad in Malvanum though. Harmon is not that big of a deal if you are careful not to aggro everything at once and there is nothing stopping you from widdling them down over time. Fatal Error will pretty much stop you at the Fire Wall without enough energy and DPS and…
  • Cybermind is not very PUG friendly either and that one is stuck in there.
  • My review of the mission ignoring the can't turn in glitch: The first part is fairly self explanatory though at first I thought the green shield was toxic goo and was afraid to stand on it to turn off the consoles. Maybe blue would be a less questionable color. There are a STUPID amount of goons summoned and they could use…
