When I was originally making the build, I couldn't find a toggle form that I felt was terribly useful, so opted to skip it. The original goal of the build was for solo survivability, hence the Constitution and heals. In hindsight, its a pretty messy build, but it works.
Thank you! That makes much more sense to me. I didn't know about Conviction or Ego Surge. I'll have to remember those two. I think replaceing 'Invincible' with Way of the Warrior would be best, since I get both Offensive and Defensive bonuses from DEX. Thanks!
I used an xbox controller once. Its pretty good. I think its best for melee-based powers since you can have the game ignore your target when you use melee powers
A "Vomit Blood" power sounds like the beginning of an "Ebola" Debuff and other medical debuffs. LOL Ebola You have Ebola! -50% movement speed -50% Damage Resistance 100% chance to apply "Ebola" on attack.
lvl 20 is too far. I could see lvl 14 or 15, though, since you would at least have all of your superstats. I ended up using Alerts to lvl from 14 to 15 the other day because I beat the Westside Arc with a few missions missed.
Now that I think about it, The savage is pretty good in Whiteout. I forgot about my last character to run it. It's a Savage/Darkness Hybrid and I don't remember dying with it. Granted, its hard to kill something that heals for 500hp every second, uses lifedrain, and only takes 25% damage. :P
You still need a party to get enough DPS. The other day I spent 30 Minutes Soloing Amazing Grace in MC, but finally asked for help because I didn't want to wack at her for that long. LOL What's pathing? I googled it and still couldn't figure it out.
I don't see anything wrong with it. After all, this is the same city where Viper-X comes seconds close to assassinating Mayor Biselle. We could make it darker too! Remember the anniversary? We were dancing on those graves...
Don't get me wrong, I had fun, but not nearly as much fun as I have as a subscriber. The thing is that most of the other F2P games I've tried don't give you good reasons to pay for it. They just cut you out of little things don't really matter, but this game gives you a ton of fun stuff, like costume slots, power colors,…
I've never been a huge fan of Free-To-Play stuff simply because its not worth it to play for free. I played this game as a Silver and after a while you just think, "You know what? A lot of this crap would be better/easier/more fun with [Insert Gold Perk Here]. I should just go Gold."
I got a good laugh when I read these. I've only pulled a mob to the cops for firepower once, because everyone else died. I usually get decent groups for Alerts, but every now and then I ge a group where I'm the tank, DPS, Healer, and support because no one else does it effectively.
This is true. I had a hard time my first play through, granted that was before Alerts, Spec Trees, and modable items (Wow. That was a long time ago...). I think that reworking/balancing the game would probably take much more time than the Devs have, especially since we demand new content every month.
NO! I just had a scary flashback of fighting the hulked out Mayor Biselle Clone as an undergeared Inferno AT who died every time you looked at it! So... much... kiting...
True. Min-Maxing an FF tank is actually a little tough, especially since tanks don't deal much damage. I have a tanky build that can take on a ton of enemies by itself too. If you do it right, an FF tank can kick butt, but its a steep hill to climb to get there.
I read the entire thread only to just now realize that we're talking about the AT, and not simply the powerset for an FF. I made a pretty good Devestator based FF a while ago and it did great. I agree with this. In general, if you find yourself being a bit squishy, gear for constitution and defense. It,s how I solo'd my to…
True. I don't find end-game quite as exciting, though. When you're on top, its nice too see all of the villains you've stepped on to get there, but it does get lonely. Maybe they should involve your nemesis more?
Alerts can derail you from quest progression, but I think that mostly has to do with how much you play them. "Min/Max" players who go the Alert route to leveling their characters miss out on a lot and although they level fast, you'd also miss just about every perk in the game. That leads me to the topic of why I even play…
I like these ideas! Maybe instead of simply queing for lairs, how about you travel to the lair entrance first and then it queus (or however its spelled).
Exactly. How would I know? I just the play the game and let the developers worry about bugs. EDIT: I guess it would depend on the bug. I'm thinking more of an "Oops! We changed the name of Defender in RenCen to 'Power Armor Guy'" kind of bugs. What kind of bugs have people been finding?
It always amazes me how seriously people take this game. I dont mean to hurt anyone's feelings, but if a little known Superhero MMO upsets you so much, you should probably pick up a new hobby. Something relaxing like knitting or painting. There is more to the world than Champions Online, you know. I mean, I like the game,…
The Save/Load method works, but it would be nice to be able to organize all of the costumes that you have. Still, the Clear Slot Button would still be awesome if only for simplicity's sake. It would definently have to cost something, though.
Almost all of the characters I've made use some form of sword. Most of them are female too. I also like to experiment with builds a lot. I've got a vampire who uses beastial powers and Void powers, a Dual Sword/Wind Goddess, and I've got plans for stealth munitions and then a "Jedi" build.
If you ask me, this is how I see Champion's Online: 1. The Graphics are pretty good. I don't care about extreme detail because my PC can't handle it anyway. Besides, good graphics cant make up for bad gameplay. 2. The Character Customization is AWESOME. I doubt that other MMO's will be able to deliver as many character…
I guess I'll through my 2 cents in. The only AT that I hit level 40 in by soloing so far has been The Inferno. Granted, I geared it up with a lot of Constitution to make up for the lack of Defensive abilities. It also made me learn new techniques and strategies to beat different villains, but I managed to make it work.
While very true, a water powerset isn't impossible. I think the bigger obstacle is figuring out how the powerset will fit into the gameplay. Each powerset has to have its own feel and dynamics to make it interesting and a water powerset, if poorly done, could look like a clone of The Glacier. (Not that I would be opposed…
I was just wondering why they didn't have a Water based Powerset today. They should make one! After all, I remember when people said that they wouldn't make Vehicles either and look at us now.
I'm was wondering if you could just up and get the discount even if you're already subbed. EDIT: I just switched it. You log in to view your subscriptions and then just change it to one of the limited time offers.
