How possible is a power mimic ability in CO?

Imagine if there was a power which could be used on NPCs to "borrow" one of their abilities for a short time.

NPC would still be able to use said power, but the player would gain it for themselves for a limited time (say 30 seconds)

how possible is this with the engine? because it would be totally awesome.

    Well it would be cool if this mimicry powerset had some sort of memory.You save the abilities that you draw from various npcs in a temporary memory.Imagine the powers tab filling with recent powers and emptying old ones that you took from the enemies.

    I can see three major potential issues.
    • There is no obvious method for selecting which power you mimic, and most critters have multiple.
    • NPC powers have generally not been balanced for use by PCs, and have a high probability of being either useless or overpowered.
    • Powers designed for something with a nonhuman skeleton will likely have animation issues.
