  • Who died, and made you Moderator? Support Tickets get nowhere (just automated bs), you actually believe they'll answer a phone call? Get ****ing real. Nobody was robbed, but we were certainly LIED TO. And Cryptic/PWE knows this, which is why they conveniently edited the blog AFTER THE FACT, to support their lie. And as we…
  • No. Hell no. Not a ****ing chance in ****ing hell. First you nerf the **** out of the Dilithium Event, and then you post a sale wanting us to BUY YOUR DISCOUNTED SERVICES? What you've done is the equivalent of robbing us blind, and rewarding us with a discounted ****job. PSA: Edited before making my initial post, to avoid…
  • Although it happened in a parallel universe (TNG episode 'Parallels'), the Bajorans did manage to conquer the Cardassian Union. If the Bajorans don't have warp capability, even in a parallel universe, there would be no way for them to conquer the Cardassians. A whole lot things in that universe would have to go…
  • In theory, when a species becomes a member of the Federation, their "species specific" military is absorbed into Starfleet (at least, that was the intent when the Bajorans were about to join the Federation). So going by that one instance, there would be no Andorian High Guard (or Andorian ships), or Vulcan High Command (or…
  • Even if the Top 3 is made active on Thursday, Foundry functions is completely shut off atm anyways. So, the fix won't really do much (for now).
  • You can't be surprised at people being pessimistic, at any point in the process. Given the track record of planning, designing and implementing features in STO. I am usually rather optimistic, but after 5 years of STO, I tend to take a more pessimistic view. That way I can be surprised a bit, when/if you guys actually…
  • Hell, I'm just hoping for some ACTUAL communication this time around. Mr D'Angelo, I thank you for your service, and I hope you'll never return as Executive Producer.
  • 421 playable starships. 14 of which are playable if you don't SPEND A DIME. That's a lot more truthful, I would say.
  • You facepalm all you want. Doesn't change that the "revised" infographic is far more truthful about the game.
  • Quoting from DS9: Well why don't you fix it, dear fellow, dear fellow, well why don't you fix it before I go mad!!!
  • Jesus christ man. Can you guys launch an update that WORKS sometime? It's been 5 years now, getting kinda old.
  • Not to mention, their giveaways/gifts tend to be of items that (most) players have little to no interest in. I.e, the "low selling goods". Essentially, they end up giving away the trash to us. How nice. Next years anniversary (which may not be big for STO, but it IS big for Trek), had better include some high-value highly…
  • You know, I think I finally figured it out: PWE has either sold, or is in the process of, selling Cryptic... to Disney. Look at the evidenc e: Aegis Space set; "Tron" Club 47 clothing; "Tron" Delta Armor set; "Storm Troopers" Vaadwaur Officer set; "Star-Lord" Disney owns both Tron, Star Wars, and Marvel. They don't own…
  • Not a "strange error" at all. It's called poor design by the developers.
  • And the button that allows players to "Finish Now", doesn't accomplish exactly the same thing? Meanwhile, if you want to improve R&D, add an "R&D Recruitment Project" at Starfleet/Klingon Academy (and New Romulus Command), so we can more easily obtain the required R&D Doffs for the Level 15 special projects.
  • Shhhhh... They were feeding the Tribbles.
  • How about fixing a ton of bugs... EACH DAY! Seriously, it's been 5 years now, and there are still bugs in this game that have been around since before STO launched back in 2010.
  • Why run a Normal queue, when the rewards are pitiful? THAT'S why Normal queues are mostly dead. Advanced/Elite queues being dead, are both reward-related (TRIBBLE poor rewards) as well as the instafail "optionals".
  • "Last chance" pfft. These "last chances" happen everytime you guys are nearing the end of the run of a certain type of Lockbox. If you want it to truly be "Last chance", previous ships/lockboxes should NEVER return. After all, the intent with Lockboxes, was to keep the ships "rare" ? Atleast, that was the justification…
  • Here's a thought (quality of life improvement). Taken from the blog: The Investigate Officer Reports (Repeatable) mission could actually be REMOVED. In favor of adding a "Daily Bonus" type system, whereby the first Foundry mission you complete, automatically rewards you with the 960 Dilithium, in addition to the Dilithium…
  • Books are not canon. The only time the Enterprise was specifically labeled (by Humans), was the Enterprise-D in 'Yesterday's Enterprise' (where it was a Battleship). The Defiant was labeled as an Escort. Non-Human races have occasionally referred to Federation starships as either Cruisers, or Battleships/Warships.
  • Star Trek Starcharts (which is also the source that Suricata used), is probably the closest to "Trek canon" in regards to the Galaxy Map. AND, the STO map still has planets and locations incorrect compared to the Starcharts book.
  • Hey, at least I didn't go in on insulting you. You said it yourself, that you earn the gear via things like the Reputation. Reputations require Marks, Dilithium, and BNPs/APCs etc. While it's possible to obtain these things elsewhere, BNPs (as far as I know) is exclusive to the Borg STFs. Normal difficulty doesn't award…
  • Does this part ring any bells for you? To which I asked, if the gear isn't needed to run Elites, then please: Show me a video of someone running an Elite (like ISE, CSE etc), in nothing but Common (White) gear. No special consoles, no special BOffs or DOffs. (and successfully completing it, preferrably with Optionals…
  • I'd love to see a video of a player running ISE, CSE etc in a 100% stock Tier 6 ship (all white gear). No special consoles, no special Boffs or Doffs. Just the default white gear you get simply by acquiring a Tier 6. I'm sure you'll manage to complete an ISE eventually. But you won't get the Optional, and you're far more…
  • This makes so much more sense. "Normal" should be the stepping stone for which players get geared up to do "Advanced". Similarly, doing "Advanced" should be the stepping stone to get players geared for "Elite" (You know, the way most MMOs do when it comes to difficulties). To that end, I propose the following rewards:…
  • Concur on all fronts. I mean, logic would assume that Group Content should be more rewarding (per person), than Solo Content. That is not currently the case, at least in terms of XP (Skill Points). In fact, with the revamped queues (Normal, Advanced, Elite), they now match the long-existing per-user "Difficulty selection".…
  • And to that I say, so what? Nothing is free in life (not even in a "free" to play game). Even at lower levels, you always have the gear. Your starter ship has all the "default common gear" from the start, and gear drops all the time throughout leveling, or through quest rewards. If they want to use a system that…
  • So, if you're gonna be automatically equipping newly acquired ships with the gear we already have, why not have the new ship be completely without gear, in the first place? No point keeping the common gear around, when it's worth 0 credits, and inferior to items we've likely already acquired during leveling.
  • This, 100%. When a single episode rewards on average ~10k XP, and you need around 150-200k XP per level (50-60), the game becomes far too grindy. It should not take an eternity to reach level cap. Instead, there should be more activities to do AT CAP. Leveling is supposed to be a preparation for things to come. Learning…
