I dont think its required to unslot before upgrade to legendary. What you should do however is unslot everything before you add something, then add everything in one go. Its what I did and it worked.

BoP isn't, BoE could, depending on how the effort to get it corresponds to its value. Since VT value is almost nill and effort required to get it is high enouph, changing the drop from from BoP to BoE would NOT impact balance IMO. You seem to disagree then you repeat my statement in different words ;)

Lots of people want it for transmutation, few people are willing to farm it. Most people now run it just for fun, would be nice if you could also make some ad in the progress. Think BoE for the Valindra drops would benifit the economy, without disturbing balance.

Yes bit did they say it or you assume it? Can't imagine anyone with half a brain would kick someone who can keep his own in a fight. Then again half a brain is sometimes a bit much to ask from some pugs.

Actually what you said does not conflict at all with what I wrote. Except there would always be rp available for sale. Stuff that drops without the dragon hoards, stuff from the bazaar ... For the record I would prefer less stuff bound, not more. Its just what I fear will happen if no other options are found.

Oh I love fighting dragons, but I prefer doing it at the end of a dungeon. Right now the dragons dont really feel like a challenge. Find populated zone. Hit once. Wait 5 seconds. ???? Profit. No dragon disserves to be treated like that. They are supposed to be fearsome.

To the community? The only ones getting any ad from this are the botters. You may like the deflation caused on refinement points, but they are one of the few items new players can make any real ad on.
