Good summary, Ezra, thank you! I recommend you repeat some of those responses from Mr GC when you start "class advocacy thread #2" or whatever you want to call it :)

Hey Ezra gratz on this. Im sure you will do a great job. But CW needs saving. Right now we are underdogs on preview, by FAR!

Agreed. This class is becoming a whipping boy again because pugs still haven't figured out that HRs are by far the best PVP class.

    What do you mean? Pvp?

Yes of course he means PVP. Nobody needs saving in PVE. Tiamat is just zergfest that you probably could AFK on.

One thing that I have noticed in gathering feedback is that while some players do a great job of being constructive, a majority are not. To clarify, there is a big difference between saying "make Arcane Presence competitive with EotS and Storm Spell" and "rework Arcane Presence to X so that it may be a relevant selection." The former includes *what* is wrong with Arcane Presence and the latter goes further in addressing *what* is wrong and *how* to fix it. I include things in my reports whether they are constructive or not, but it seems as though feedback has been dying down throughout the weeks in general.

My past reports have included a lot of *what* and not enough *how*, in my opinion, so I will be making efforts to transition them into being more constructive.

    I understand your concern.

The thing is that when I give a suggestion about how to fix things, it feels like it will never happen because that idea came from a player, and then I feel like I'm throwing ideas on the walls. Then, instead, I point out a problem and explain it, but I won't give suggestions about how to fix it because that, in most times, feels worthless.

I hope you understand that kind of feeling.

Hi all,i have a little proposition to make concerning Cws class features and how to improve them. You see as things are, Storm Fury is useless. I would suggest slotting it, to add a 10% per rank(30% at rank 3),increase to Storm spells procc chance for a total of 30%(Base chance) + 30%(Storm Fury buff)=60% increased chance to activate storm spell whenever you critically hit. That means you'll either have to slot Eye of the storm or Storm Fury. Now that also means a Cw with 40%(Quite rare mind you) critical chance would activate Storm spell 40%*60%=24% on average. This would add more value to the renegade path due to "Chilling Advantage" giving a flat 10% to critical chance. It's a win win scenario since it also frees Storm spell mages from having to slot Eots all the time in order to get the most out of Storm spell. Even though some Wizards wouldn't want to loose the extra dps that Eots provides for all spells, buffing Storm fury this way,it would be a good start.
It's BUGS bunny i tell you.

Chilling Advantage requires you to slot Chilling Presence, meaning you couldn't have Storm Fury and Storm Spell slotted as well.

    1) Do you think the Devs succeeded in their goals for CWs in M4?

To be honest I liked the M3 CW more.

They took away shard which is an awesome skill not that easy to use,
and have us passive damage and a refrigerator in return.

I also dont understand why they took away singularity?
Maybe give it back its 15 limit as top of the oppressor tree.

I feel like I have more control and more dps now,
but I also feel the same, and more so,
    for other classes except GWF's.

I see they already fixed the stormspell, as expected.
Haven't tried it on preview yet but I assume it will be severe.
Would be cewl if we got our shard back too.

I also feel there is more need for GF and DC now.
Control feels stronger, but more in bursts.
Most parties I run now have max 2 CW's,
but offcourse alot players stuck with CW
so it may take a while till it evens out.

I kinda like the class, dont change it too much.
Fix the other classes, dont break the one that works.

    2) Do you feel as though CWs are balanced in PvE with respect to other classes? Why?

Only comparing to the DPS classes, I would say yes to HR and SW.
We do more dps, but I think we should because:
but we can't focus it (hit everyone or noone),
have to deal it from verry close distance
and have no armor to keep us safe while doing it.

GWF and TR feel a little left behind now.
I'm sure TR will be fixed in MOD5.

In newer dungeons like eLoL we have a harder time to compete,
but okay different dungeons differernt classes shine,
    I like that.

    3) Do you feel as though CWs are balanced in PvP with respect to other classes? Why?

I dont pvp. I'll let the pvp'ers fill this in.
Will probably be verry hard because this class is specialized
in multi-target, while pvp only has max 5 targets.

But please, if fixing for pvp, use changes that only apply when flagged for pvp.

    4) How can the three feat paths (Oppressor | Thaumaturge | Renegade) be further improved upon?

Would be cewl if several of the nerfs could be restored near the end of each tree.

Opressor gets working singularity and maybe even more control.
Because if you really want people to go full control, then the control better be awesome.
    Thaumaturge gets his shard back.
Renegade well that one needs a complete rework.

    5) If you could have one constructive change to CWs, what would it be?

    Bring back shard.
It requires skill, and would give you a real reason to choose between
Transcendant Master and chilling control, thus the dps vs control
choice the devs have been trying to implement.

    6) If you could have three bugs fixed from this list, what would they be?

Eye of the storm buffing adds.

    Evocation not buffing Conduit.

Anything else I can live with.

    7) Are there any powers (at-will, encounter, passive, daily) that you would change? How?

    See previous points.
Give us back singularity and shards of avalanche.
Oh and magic missile, not enouph reason to pick it now.

    8) Are the Spellstorm and Master of Flame paragons offering what you would like?

    I'm happy with my stormspell.
Never played a MOF so far.
Not manny do, so maybe an indication they need love?

    9) Are you happy with the gear selection for CWs? What would you like to see less/more of?

    Compared to other classes, yes.
In general, something worth replacing my High Vizier for PvE would be cewl.
Please not by making my High Vizier useless.

    10) What other comments do you have on CWs?

The verry first comment people made on the CW when I started playing at launch,
was that CW's look like they did a doodoo in their pants.
    I still look that way.

Quite right,my mistake,so that would be another good reason, to completely disengage Chilling Presence from Chilling advantage. Chilling advantage should give a flat 10% Crit chance increase without having to slot Chilling Presence. That's a change which combined with the one i proposed on Storm Fury, would give more value to the renegade tree.

Give CWs more dodges to help with their lack of defensive capabilities. These will not affect PVE CWs one bit nor does it contribute to stunlock/insta-burst damage of CWs.
