  • Captain Marsden stands gazing out of his ready room window into deep space, the gentle waft of hot coffee occasionally grabbing his attention away from a report covered desk. "Computer begin recording of message and encode, ready for dispatch to Admiral Carmenara & the fleet upon logon to the federation database" *The…
  • Welcome to the fleet, and i look forward to seeing you in game :D
  • Mine keeps saying upload failed . . but i thought i'd post to see if it lies . . and it does . . . . woo hoo, thanks for the custom avatars . . i've missed seeing who's posted . . lol
  • Hey Carmenara, I've just seen the video of our fleet battle we did the other day, really looks awesome . . and i enjoyed watching it, i almost forgot just how many beams were firing at once . . lol Thanks for scheduling Sundays event, and i'm looking forward to seeing what you've done with your Sovereign . . and also…
  • Try not to worry about people like that Raven, everyone has to start someplace and what some people forget is that they were a noob once, and rather than shouting abuse at people over chat, they should help em out . . i must say i've been fortunate and was lucky to make some good friends here on STO, whom have helped me…
  • That i would love to see, sometimes i've been blasted before i've even had time to close the 3 or 4 dialog windows. With regards to the thalaron beam others have mentioned, someone said they find it hard to see which way she is facing, . . i just look at the "Cone" of fire while she's charging to workout which way she's…
  • Did the shrubbery not arrive ??
  • I've learnt that a starship actually can't achieve a vertical flight angle of 90 degrees and infact has to spiral down to get to enemies below it. LOL
  • I suppose the only thing i would like to improve is the maximum vertical angle you can achieve, rather than having to spiral up or down to an enemy below or above you . . i've often wondered why you can just point straight up or down and fly directly to them? I'm happy with the controls other than that little niggle
  • Well there you go, i've learnt something new just there . . and i agree, it is all about your build and the boff powers you choose . . being a tac captain, i've maxed the accurate, weapon power & Elusive skills . . leaving "Threat control" free, although i sill can draw aggro just by being a pain in the butt to the NPC's…
  • Is there really any need for that, you can get your point across with out name calling, infact it just makes you look immature. Ultimately it's up to the individual player as to what skills they pick, I'm a tac captain piloting a cruiser . . and i haven't put one point in the threat skill, and later i realised i didn't…
  • I run a cruiser and although i know the kind of players you're talking about, i've seen this happen with all kinds of class ship, and the behaviour isn't restricted to cruisers. It's not the type of ship, skills, boff powers you have . . it's the captain sitting in the chair, that likes to sit back while the team does all…
  • Was gonna say just that . . i think even more so during the 60's . . the perfect man, the perfect woman, and perfect family, where the father comes home after the day at the office "Honey i'm home" with a nice apple pie on the window sill. (At least on t.v shows anyway) A few other Sci heros had the same basic outline ..…
  • Lol, that line is just classic, and i agree . . ha ha ha  Okey dokey Steve, i respect your opinion . . even if Kirk feels like my second Dad . . lol.
  • LOL, i must admit, there are some very cringe worthy moments . . the swagger, the slow paused speech, and of course the silly poses and gestures. I can do nothing but agree with you there. Although i will say . . for me, that was half the fun . . getting into the story . . and perhaps have a chuckle at some hammy…
  • I take it you're not a fan of TOS then, let me ghess you think it's TRIBBLE . . lol, oh well each to their own. But remember what some people think of as TRIBBLE, others may think differently. I for one love TOS, it's what i grew up with . . it was good seeing those early episodes because although the acting was hammy and…
  • And yet he's the Captain everybody knows and remembers, helped pave the way for the rest, while being in 3 series & 7 movies, so he couldn't have been that bad huh.
  • LOL, although he does very good Jazz hands, still with guppy face :-) http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BH-ApUESWB4/TXnhdlQr2BI/AAAAAAAADSE/SlL288w7Qro/s1600/turnaboutintruder_223.jpg
  • I'd defiantly like the kirk in pain emote when taking damage . . you know, bring elbows to centre of chest with hands out and face looking like a guppy at feeding time . . perhaps a squirm on the floor for good measure while uttering the famous "What gives you the right" speech. Perfect!
  • Being a Fed player, i'm with you on this . . i would actually like to see a lot more stuff for the KDF guys. If they did bring out a cloak for the feds i for one wouldn't use it, or indeed want it . . it just wouldn't seem right to me.
  • All the best of luck to you on your new endeavor, i'm sure everyone here wishes you well and thanks you for all your work on the game, it was nice and at the same time sad to read your good bye. God speed, and best wishes.
  • As a captain of a multi cultural ship with many different races on board i've delegated that we have themed meals every week, this in turn not only gives the crew a good variety and culinary experience, but also offers individual crew members the taste of home. Although the replicators are convenient, and the crew are…
  • Fellow Redneck Captains, It was an honour to fight under the new Rednecks fleet banner during active duty this weekend, it was pleasant to see friendly chat and good conversation, as well as informative mission briefings directed by Carmenara, so that everyone understands what to do before the event . . . which was…
  • I've begun to really get into the STF's, and i've also noticed that some people will click "Need" on every item that pops up even with relatively common loot. I'm not saying all players are item hoarders because they're not, i've had some great team ups with players whom share everything, and other sessions usually with…
  • LOL, even better if it was a private challange, i liked the ?preperation? for battle before accepting, to give extra focus and planning ability, i still say that should be a boff power ha ha. I?ve only had one challange all this time, some random guy in Memory alpha, i had to decline because at that time i would…
  • LOL, that's awesome! . . i laught to myself with the image of you happily flying around minding your own business . . Medicating as you go, only to be attacked . . *face palm* . . "This is heavy man" . . sigh . . Fantastic
  • Awesome quote!
  • I must admit i've enjoyed watching people in STF's, it's good to see new maneuvers people come up with. I've noticed that there is just so much that effects your build and your ships abilitys, something that you would think would be insignificant such as placing the right Doffs can actually be a major help. Ultimately…
  • Lol good thread, Well for me i must admit i do sometimes like to sitdown and relax with a couple of beers while playing STO, i only usually have 2 though when i do fancy a beer when playing, because that for me is just a nice balance . . you get the destroy that fellow attitude while still retaining the ability to…
  • LOL, i know right . . when ever i see that i just have to say it, reminds me of seeing my sister watching the show . . lol. Long live the 1980's  Good News on the impuse engine, i went for the omega engine for the slightly better turn rate, so you'll have to let me know how you get on with the Maco, because i was…
