  • There is a way to get Cryptic to devote resources to the Foundry with zero monetary cost to any player, if everyone reading this plays one or works on a foundry mission every time they log onto the game. Cryptic divides resources based on one of two things, how much money a thing brings in directly, and what people do when…
  • Occasionally for larger and more important patches (seasons and expansions) they will make tribble and Redshirt inaccessible to everyone but a handful of invited beta testers.
  • The issue is that we're attempting to apply black and white morals to Blue and Orange morality, as far as the Kobali can tell most species just abandon a dead body, dead bodies they require to procreate, on top of this they've found a vault of cryogenically frozen Vaadwaur where several of the cryogenics have failed. Can…
  • Honestly, they haven't acknowledged it yet because they don't need more information from us at the moment and acknowledging it only changes the thread titles from "Why have they not acknowledged it" to "Why is there no fix yet."
  • It's also worth noting that at the time the Enterprise-E was under Data his first officer was Nog, Starfleet's first Ferengi officer and key character during the Iconian War.
  • Data isn't missing, he's a professor at Cambridge.
  • Cryptic have had to renew the license since the game started, given that in the license renewal phase CBS pretty much calls the shots unless Cryptic is giving them money hand over fist, then they could have removed any non-compete clauses in the renewal if there had been significant interest in another company developing a…
  • The issue is that if CBS didn't shut down this fan project that allowed people to make money off CBS's trademarks (the characters used are trademarked property of CBS, even if the actors agree to play them in a fan project they shouldn't accept payment for their services, this goes double for the actual Star Trek name), if…
  • I'm going to check if Wonko the Sane will let me move outside the asylum with him.
  • The problem with that attitude is that more bug reports on the same bug can help narrow down a fix so they want more bug reports. To answer the OP though, Bug Reports get an automated reply and is put into the list of bug reports to go through, Request GM help gets a response unless the request is about another player.
  • Before this goes much further, I want to remind people that the last time the LGBTQ++ community was represented in game, the forum devolved into a flame war over it. Please Note, I am fully in favor of representing the LGBTQ++ crowd, I just don't want to see another flame war over it like over the klingon couple already in…
  • You mean the fans who declare "I hate it so all Star Trek fans will" then falls back on No True Scotsman when wrong?
  • Delta recruits can still claim most of the rewards for being a delta recruit via the delta recruit device you received during the tutorials. The only things unavailable are the server wide events and the Dil per kill.
  • The issue is that the devs have found that if they acknowledge a bug and it's not fixed in the next patch, they get people demanding to know why the fix wasn't in the patch.
  • I hate seeing this misquoted, the actual reason was too many useless currencies, you had a specialized currency for levels 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40 and 41-50 which could only be used to purchase stuff at the level you gained the currency. So people were sitting with a ton of useless currencies that they'd spent time…
  • Your character exists as a ship OR a person and doesn't track across the two (when they seem too it's a cheat where they just force your ship to spawn at the correct point), whilst they could enact a timer like system for bridge warping what would happen if you switched to sector space early? It's unlikely they have the…
  • Either that or their agreements with Microsoft and Sony specifically prevent them from doing so because they (They being Microsoft and Sony) want the cut they'll get from reselling all your stuff from the PC version on the consoles as well. Or is logic not showing Cryptic/PWE as souless moneygrabbers still reguarded as…
  • At the point you want they might as well just scrap having three factions altogether and blend them all into a seemless hivemind where everyone is completely the same.
  • You mean the fact that Cryptic's running a business not a charity? Also remember this, back when Romulans were first announced the restriction of other factions T5 ships didn't exist, Cryptic originally planned to let Romulans use any ship from their chosen ally. The T5 restriction was added due to player backlash about…
  • They've done this before, plans changed, and the forums raged. And plans have been changed less than an hour before they were due to go out for various reasons including bugs, exploits and CBS mandates.
  • *Evidence leaks for T6 using a Connie skin* *Forums Celebrate* *Reveal that Connie skin was only a placeholder* *Forums Rage*
  • It also doesn't help that by 2409 there are at least 2 seperate groups referring to themselves as the true Romulan Star Empire and refusing to acknowledge the other groups claim.
  • Given what we've seen of how assimilation works they stop being an individual race when they're assimilated, everything that makes them unique that doesn't directly benefit the collective is removed by the nanites and 'upgraded' to the current collective norm. Hell, the STF bosses remain unique so we can tell them apart…
  • So why should my broadside cruisers DPS be gimped because you think all ships should be 5/3? Right now if my target swings itself into my rear arc I only lose half my beam DPS and open it up to spike damage from a torp, with your design I either lose the spike damage from the torp or lose 2/3 of my Beam DPS if they're in…
  • Same reason why we can't have an end game Constitution class.
  • The money for the games continued development needs to come from somewhere and every F2P MMORPG I've played has a paid loot box system, because quite frankly they make money, real actual money that trickles back down for more ships, missions and mechanics that people do enjoy.
  • Before people take the silliness in this post out of context, lets remember the time under Atari referred to as "The Year of Hell". We had no content beyond the occasional bugfix (occasional meaning that an actual bugfix in the patch notes was celebrated), patch notes consisting of "Game Stability Improvements" or just no…
  • Nothing in the game requires the use of the exchange at all, or the ships people are talking about. It's more than likely that it was introduced to prevent people being scammed through the trade system rather than to reduce inflation. Unless they go against CBS's wishes, or there's a ridiculously large drop in the number…
  • All romulan ships are warbirds although it's used rather broadly and they have a significant range of ships for endgame and can use the T1-4 ships of their aligned faction. Their weapon emphasis is plasma and all their ships come with plasma weapons equipped.
  • Romulan Warbirds have lower power total than Federation ships but have special singularity core abilities to make up for it.
