  • Loaded up your act plugin and its a good 20% higher than what I was using before. Thats why I suggested having the info in your well written guide. Obviously with your parser the numbers quoted are realistic and hopefully that will help some people. When you are doing this much damage a 20% variation can equate to 3-4k…
  • Should probably tell people what you are using to parse you ISE runs, as the different ones seem to vary by large margins. If you are using the same one I use, 20k would only be possible in a team setup, not in an average pug. Might help some people to make sure they are doing it right. Also, Aceton Beam is actually a…
  • Join a fleet. A good fleet will make your experience much more enjoyable and will have helpful ppl a quick chat away.
  • Tac here, everything is fine. If you cant get first its you not the game. I think in the last one I did, I beamed down to the planet for a coffee, beamed back up and high five'd the Entity, and still got first while rolling my face on the keyboard.
  • A good player can do that with the majority, if not all, end game ships.
  • Actually, I ran 1 of each in my hangar slots and the Weavers parsed nearly the same dps. So they are completely worth using, with the understanding that they will give you less single target burst and better group dps with their debuff. As for the bad AI, this is common and putting your hangars on your cycle spamming…
  • A couple of Purple Hangar cooldown Flight Deck officers can get you to have their APB2 uptime more constant on targets. I might try 1 Adv Weaver Hangar and 1 Elite Scorp and see what happens.
  • Initial parse testing for me is the adv mesh weavers dont do as much damage as elite scorps, but they are in the ballpark. If I had a way to know how much their ATB added to my allies damage output, they could very well be on par with the elite scorps. Right now they seem to be a great alternative.
  • Whatever you use to test make sure you use what you think works best as a testing ground and a large enough sample to feel comfortable with testing changes. I personally use ISE. I believe you need to have variables in your test to take into account distance from target and switching targets. Testing in situations where…
  • Of course that is what players do, but it could be at 20% or 30%. One burst can take out a generator at 10% was the point. The problem you want to avoid is players thinking there is one way to do things. For example KASE, somebody will offer to take the probes on one side, but not even bother to work on the generators,…
  • What some people are trying to get at is.... once you get to a certain point you can carry an entire team, so 10% isnt really of any concern. For example, Ill destroy a generator and then go help destroy the other three. Thats still teamwork, but me sitting there waiting for someone else to get theirs to 10% is boring, and…
  • "Aint nobody got time for 10%" Seriously the 10% rule is annoying, usually end up having the spheres on top of the gate. Then I have to fly all the way over there to destroy them. :P
  • Love how everyone ignores the facts and goes straight to "the sky is falling" All I hear is, "I want my rewards as long as I show up" I think the reward based system would force some players to actually put in some effort, and add a much needed challenge.
  • This thread is hilarious. Dont worry nobody cares about your information. The majority of players are using these tools to optimize their setup and find out what items and abilities actually work. The game is a multiplayer game, so if playing with random people that might hurt your feeling is difficult for you, either only…
  • Considering the JHAS hangar sucks, adding a useless console seems rather pointless. How many of these stupid threads do we need. The Hangar sucks, they might as well not even exist because there is no point to using them. PS: Yes even after the "fix" they still suck.
  • MRRMLL Always, you will either finish or wont, but wont have to spend alot of time in there either way.
  • Here is the point. If you join an STF +95% of the players will get no where near 5k dps. If its the weekend than most will be under 3k. A player with a properly setup ship will hit 8-10k+ regardless of ship class. So even if you wanted to add "utility" and sacrifice dps, you can still do over 7k dps. Meaning whether you…
  • The only people worried about scaling rewards are people that cant perform. A high performing player will out perform other players regardless of the ship they are in. It will be slightly easier in a carrier or escort, but for the overwhelming majority of STFs it will work fine. This is easily seen in Starbase 24.
  • Here are things to check if you are in 90% of the player base that is doing less than 3k dps in ISE or similar. Power levels, set weapons to 100 (before bonuses, not after) Time on target, stop wasting time between targets, get whatever your arc is on your target the max amount of time possible. These are where the slow…
  • No they are not, they are exactly the same dps wise as before. Please stop spreading misinformation about them. They "look" cooler flying around, but parsing them they are the same in dps from before and after the fix. You are hamstringing your hangar dps by around 50% by using them. But most people are content that they…
  • The Jem Bug pets are about 40-50% as effective as elite scorps. They are currently one of the worst Hangar pets available.
  • Until we see the Ultra Rare fleet pets, elite scorps are the best. And for KDF the BoPs come pretty close. PvP......... depends on how much you want people to cry.
  • Its kind of a good thing, since people use them because they look cool, but they are really the worst hangar pet, on the Fed side at least. If it takes 6-12 months to open them up to everybody, then what, another 6-12 months to make them worth using. At this point their existence is of no concern. Ill give you mine.
  • Keep using your isolated test, meanwhile players are parsing full ESTF runs and putting up comparable numbers between cannon and beam ships. Doesnt really get anymore "real world" than that. They must be crazy because your test, obviously, is more conclusive.
  • Apparently reading comprehension and math is too hard for people in this thread.
  • First off the OP test is at max range, please tell me you understand range effects damage. Beam dps is all about maximum time on target. Meaning you should be on target more than a 45 degree arc DHC ship. And beams get less of a distance penalty than cannons. Everybody seems to compare a cannon ship that is stationary at…
  • Didnt read the whole thread, but Im predicting Single Heavy Cannons to come with ships. Maybe the 3 pack gets you three of them like the vesta's weapons. No idea about the rest of it.
  • Considering most PUGs will parse around 2.5k dps or less, your damage reduction consoles will not be enough if you do respectable damage. The only time you will notice is if it is with other competent players.
  • They are roughly 40-50% as effective dps wise to most of the dps hangars Ive tested. (Adv Pergs, elite scorps, BoPs) The reason you dont see them is because they are only being used by people for looks or because they dont know any better. I would give mine away if possible, they are useless. And yes this is after the…
  • DPS wise they are about 50% as effective as most other DPS Hangar pets. So no, they are not the best, its the opposite.
