Cure Found and cubes/shipyards

Most of the times that I play the Cure Found, players will run around killing the spheres, but will ignore the cubes. Why is this?

Killing the Cubes ups the threat level of the adds that spawn and attack the Kang. Most strategies (typically only employed on Elite, Normal you can easily Kirk) involve minimizing the amount of waves that head for the ship you need to protect.

It spawns BoP, then Raptors, then Warships, whether cubes are alive or not. Only difference is, more cubes=more ships per wave, less cubes=fewer ships per wave.

    MRRMLL

Always, you will either finish or wont, but wont have to spend alot of time in there either way.

It spawns 3x3 Bird of Preys when there are 3 cubes.
3x2 Raptors when there is 2, and 3 Negh'vars when there is 1 cube left.
1 Raptor + 1 Negh'var is also spawned when one of the top regen probes is destroyed, per cube.

One player can easily kill all the spawns when the 3 cubes are alive (3 cubes spawning 2 BoPs each). When you kill one of the cubes, the spawns are made of Raptors - 3 from each cube - now you need at least 2 players to clean just the spams (often 3-4). Which leaves much less firepower to deal with the primary task of destroying the nanites and the rest of the cubes.
So, the widely adopted strategy is the following one: clear middle probes, clear right probes, kill the right cube, help with the wave of Raptors, kill the center cube, then everyone concentrates on the left probes, spawns and cube. That's all.

Raptors and Warships spawn when you shoot the spheres, dont have to touch the cube
1 Raptor + 1 Negh'var is also spawned when one of the top regen probes is destroyed, per cube.

Seems like its not just 1 of each, seems like they keep spawning. I'll check this though.

There are no spheres in cure space just bops, raptors, negvhars, and cubes.

This strategy will always work if you can get everyone on the same page which is why I only run CSE with my fleet.

    MRRMLL means:
    1. 1 person in an escort defends the Kang.
    2. M-the rest destroys the middle cube's nanite gens and the raptor/neghvar that spawns don't destroy cube
    3. RR-group destroys gens,raptor,neghvar, and right cube
    4. M-group destroys raptor spawn then the middle cube, escort destroys left cube's raptor spawn
    5. LL_entire group destroys neghvar spawn,gens,raptor/neghvar,cube

Very easy to complete optional with 8 mins to spare using this tried and true method.

You are experiencing the dreaded raptor spawn from hell and is due to the first cube being destroyed before the team is ready to deal with it.

Incorrect. Each change puts ships that are markedly more dangerous in play.

    Pretty sure he means probes.

    Wow.

This is Cure Space (elite) in a nutshell.

3 cubes, each having 3 nanite probes (spheres) below them with another 3 nanite probes (spheres) below them.

    Spawns
@Cubes: 2x BoPs spawn from each cube shipyard roughly 1 minute after the last spawn died.

    Triggers
    1) At each cube when the first top row (between cube and bottom) nanite sphere is killed a single Neg'Var and Raptor will spawn at that cube. They will agro player ships if they are near.

    2) When the first cube explodes 3 raptors will spawn from two remaining cubes and head toward kang. These replace the BoP spawns and will continue to happen roughly 1 minute after the last one died.

    3) When the second cube explodes 3 Neg Vars will spawn from remaining cube and head toward kang. These replace the raptor spawns and will continue to happen roughly 1 minute after the last one died.

Thanks for the detailed playboox. That answers my question completely.
