  • That's interesting, despite the "probably" (which indicates you haven't tried it). I haven't even done FB39 "yet" (don't think I'll try it again though), no FB49 and certainly not FB59 --- I do have a levelled Eldergroth, but he's a whimp so I never tried using him for anything other than levelling it. I also liked doing…
  • Nonethless, waypoints are waypoints, whether the list was compiled 9 months ago or just yesterday.
  • Well, what "distance" are you talking about? Just like every other game, PW doesn't draw stuff that's "too far" away, for some definition of "too far". This is mostly visible with buildings and trees, as they often "pop into" the landscape as you get closer. And they are quite large, so it's quite noticeable :-)
  • Could you give a short explanation how that works? If people don't want to buy the stuff they are selling, then HOW are they "deparately" selling it anyway? I'm sure a lot of companies that have stuff that doesn't sell all that well would love to learn how to do it right :-) Fact is, if they are selling enough stuff to pay…
  • They should work for free? Have fun trying to find employees that work for free. Other than that, none of your stuff actually rings a bell for me. I just solo stuff, so it dies off like every other MMO"RP"G since I'm out of things to do. Some features died earlier than that, because they were locked away behind bosses or…
  • That's an old problem; I've always had a box (I only run mules on that one :-)) that displays chars like that :-) Kind of funny looking, since you can also see the weapon --- so I see a lot of weapons floating around in Archosaur, but not the chars wielding them :-) IIRC, when I log in my main and use the mount (I have an…
  • "So what"? Just because you have some cash item with a ticking timer on you doesn't mean everyone has to do your bidding. If someone decides that he wants to leave, he'll leave. Not much you can do anyway, it's a game. If he's in your guild you might decide to kick him for not following your rules or just because you feel…
  • Accidentally changed the server when you logged in?
  • How COULD "they" have a clue? I doubt they have predefined procedures to analyze problems; they probably have a few standard cases covered and are currently executing the last one in the list --- "if none of the above applies, try this..." :-) Granted, I didn't even know there was a problem until now. Got kicked out of the…
  • Yeah, "reset notes" are available in the cash shop. Of course, unless you know what you are doing, you'll probably do something that at some point will feel like a waste again --- you can't "just play" most MMO"RP"Gs, they all put a lot of emphasis on trying to **** players. If your class depends on gear (i.e. you are…
  • But your main level does --- not just because you have to be able to actually reach the mines without getting killed, but the gathering itself is also level-gated. I've given up crafting somewhere along the way, mostly because the droprates for the monster-drop materials are so bad (they have packs in the cash shop, so…
  • The developers put that into your BIOS. Maybe there's a cheat code to disable it, but I haven't found it yet.
  • If you're talking about the latest update, there's no difference for me. It still appears that the only reasonable way to level available to me is the world quest --- and IIRC they even said that this is strictly an update for high level players (and I'm guessing it's simply more instances for those).
  • Obviously, pet classes (in ANY game, not just PW) don't work in PvP --- while you can easily get monsters to attack your pet instead of you, other players are not quite as stupid.
  • Well, I did get the gift. Another ugly "fashion" taking 3 more slots.
  • Define "technical problem". I don't think I'll stick around for long --- got the mail about the update, installed it, logged on, and while I was flying to my next world quest target I read through the patch notes. Apparently there's nothing new unless you're 95, so... But that's not a technical problem :-) I've made it…
  • You wouldn't buy the new skill and just play as you did before?
  • Not just that. The PW "auction" house is the ripoff-type, where they even take a fee if the item doesn't sell. Makes it difficult to figure out prices/find out what people will be buying. As for the precise numbers --- back when I tried, I couldn't find that information anywhere. I don't trade so I don't really care, but I…
  • It's also the classic F2P structure: at the beginning of the game, there's quite a few quests. Later on, quests become insignificant. Although it depends on what you view as a "quest", too. In other games, people just run dungeons all day long. In Perfect World, people just run dungeons all day long, but there's also the…
  • Of course it is. All MMO"RP"Gs that I have seen so far are trivial to play for a bot; all it takes is some work to analyse the software so your patch can see the scenario (at a high level, where a monster is still a monster and not just a bunch of polygons and textures) and issue commands. Maybe (I have no idea how they…
  • You actually have more than one quest, although you might not know it yet. In particular, you might have a quest that says something like "kill 8 of these and 8 of those", and when you're done with that it will change to "and now kill their boss!" The reward is a pretty good weapon --- I actually did this quest in my late…
  • You also get a free flying mount at lvl 30 (or rather, from a very simple quest at lvl 30). Slow as a block of ice melting at the north pole, but it flies...
  • What do you mean by "unequip"? In your inventory window, you can just switch between "Normal" and "Fashion" views by using the radio buttons at the top. This will only affect appearance, though --- the fashion stays in the slots. Which is good --- all my "fashion" is non-tradeable, so the 3 pieces in my fashion slots mean…
  • Basically, you can wear any armor (not quite sure whether there are special items that are class-specific), as long as you meet the stat requirements. Being a magic class, you'd have to add a lot more Strength than usual, and also add Dex which you don't need at all for your skills. Look at the item, especially the lines…
  • I don't exactly know what this thread is about (the stuff you get for dragon orders, or the stuff you get for selling DQ items?), but either way, I'm guessing Hercules and Phoenix are never going to be made available for free simply because they are actually useful.
  • Same thing as always --- you don't do any of the things that don't work. Basically, I'm playing 100% solo --- so no gear pressure, no money pressure, nothing. I'm not trying to compete with anyone about anything. If they can get from A to B in no time and slash through bosses faster than I can cast a spell, so be it. They…
  • Yeah, maintenance. It's funny how apparently NO game-maker takes this into account. There are a few issues common to ALL games that I've seen so far. From the user perspective, it's the lack of a proper indicator on the client. Thing is, there is no reason for the client to not being able to retrieve status information…
  • On the positive side, the last thing anyone needs in a game is "fashion". So by the time you get to buying that, there isn't much else for you to buy anyway.
  • I want a "2x" that works on quest rewards :-) I get almost all my experience from WQ...
  • Players will also sell stuff; it's going to be priced millions, though. There's still real money involved, after all.
