It's not meant to be solo content, especially at level 60 (even with level boosting). There should be plenty of people asking in chat to do Ghost Stories. Just team up with them and it will be much easier.
Circle of Power is a good choice. I switched from Binding Oath to CoP and probably won't go back. Binding Oath is powerful but it can be a detriment as well.
When that happens I wonder if it would been better not to use Binding Oath, but then again, since I'm only getting hit for half the damage that I would have taken (albeit all at once), wouldn't I have died anyway? Thoughts?
I'm also Protection/Bulwark spec and it works well. No need to respec into the Justice/DPS path. Let me assure you though, you're not at fault. The main problem you're having is 1600-ish item level is too low for the content. So gear up a bit more before attempting it again. 1600 might be fine for DPS/healers (no idea),…
My hardware is more than strong enough to run this game with a high frame rate at all times. You're just lucky you haven't been bit by the Prism loop is all I can say. When you're running along smooth as silk and out of the blue your game becomes a slide show with "Prism" flashing over and over, then suddenly goes back to…
You're cursing at me and agreeing with me all in the same post? Oh and FWIW, I don't have a problem with HE's dropping RP rewards, just don't take all the incentive away from running everything else.
Previously, that is how it was used because the AoE damage was laughable. The problem with that usage though was you'd have DJ just sitting there ready to be used while you wait to get down to a single mob. Now you can use it as soon as it's ready. Hopefully this will allow us to finish dailies faster now, especially in…
I doubt that's the case considering it's an at-will power. The way I read the patch notes it's just the healing effect that has a 4s wait, not the damage/application of seal.
Transmutation items are ones you use to change the appearance of another item. So if you right-click on another orb, you can pick "Change Appearance" and it will bring up a window to do that.
Since IWD HE farming is consuming the vast majority of the population right now, as soon as you vote kick someone they're just going to rejoin the party (since they're the only replacement in queue) and now you're stuck with them until the timer expires. That really needs to be fixed.
If the AoE damage of DJ is better than before, then as an OP I welcome this change. The single target damage was over the top (I've crit level 70+ mobs for over 200K before), but when using it on a group of mobs, it would hit for less than some of my AoE encounter powers. When doing dailies I'd have to wait until I…
Oh I'm in agreement with you on making DDs more worthwhile (thus the reason I started my post by saying "This is a good idea"). It's just not going to fix the problem of the vast, vast majority of people HE farming. Even if T1 DDs gave you double the RP/min rewards of an HE farming session, there's still the issues of bad…
This is a good idea, but I think even if they gave higher RP rewards in DDs people are still going to take the path of least resistance and stick with IWD.
Then I guess you missed the part where he went on to talk about how effective Bulwark was for him "in practice". "While it is possible to tank as a Justice or Light paladin, it is substantially harder..." I don't need to see the word "better" in that statement to understand he means Bulwark is better. Please enlighten me…
I love these rewards as much as anyone, but tbh it's all gotten silly and out of hand. It's affecting other parts of the game like skirmish/dungeon queues. Not sure about PvP queues but I saw someone in IWD begging people to come to the PvP area there. HE farming has become the "end game" for Neverwinter, and as much as I…
I notice you only ever talk about Holy Barrier, and I admit it's "meh" by itself, but Bulwark isn't just about Holy Barrier. It's about all of it's Feats working together. Heck, just Martyr's Blood + Vigilance gives you a 35% reduction in incoming damage for 8 seconds. You never seem to mention that.
Which is just a polite way of saying he doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm not misinterpreting anything. He said in no uncertain terms that Bulwark is the better tanking choice. Here's his full post from that thread (in case you didn't ready it): I dunno about you, but that doesn't sound like a guy who is "not as…
So basically what you're saying is Crush doesn't know what he's talking about. Got it. To each his own. I play a Paladin to do tanking for group content and Bulwark is the better choice for that.
The solution to this is simple: skip the ones that are already half way done and catch up to the lead group to be there for the start of the next one. Go ahead and finish it though, don't leave with the lead group. So you basically wind up doing every other one and getting great success each time.
Tried the Justice tree as a "tanking" Paladin once and quickly bought a respec to go back into Bulwark. Justice is not a better choice for tanking. It's just not. Read the post in my sig and let it sink in.
I checked the price of pretty much all RP items last week, and just about everything was selling for roughly 2AD per RP, except the higher priced items like Blood Ruby and Greater Resonance Stones (which weren't competitive at all). So Peridot's were about 1k each and Aquamarines were about 3k each... same price as they…
This is exactly what's happening. I was in a large IWD HE group last night on my Paladin and it was easy to tell that the game stopping lag happens when another Paladin with Prism had used a daily around the same time I did. I'd get rapid "Prism" spam on my screen to the point everything froze until the 20s effect lapsed.
