  • Will the up and down arrow keys scroll it? You can navigate most of the Foundry's drop-down boxes with them, so maybe that will work here?
  • On the map tab, there's an "Edit Backdrop" button. Click that, then select "Black and White" for one of the sky override slots. Note that unless you set the "backdrop" slot to "master exterior blank", sky overrides can be a bit hit and miss as to whether they'll actually apply.
  • If you've included an unpublished quest in a campaign, the whole campaign will disappear from subscriptions. It still exists and is searchable, it just won't be on the tab.

  • You don't need to start editing the registry to get it back. Just right-click the program on the task bar, select "move", then hit the arrow keys on the keyboard. It'll pop to one of the corners of the screen, attached to the mouse. Alternatively, right-click the task bar itself and choose to cascade or tile the windows.
  • Bug report tickets aren't the same as GM tickets. Bug reports won't get a GM response, and aren't visible to you after submission. Bug reports are just filed away for developer review, so they can decide how to fix it. If it's something you need a customer service response for, use the "request GM help" choice, and another…
  • Trying clicking "options" in the top-right of the launcher, then choosing "force verify".
  • You don't have to duplicate your quest to add it to a campaign. You simply need to create a new campaign and add the quest to it.
  • I, for one, relish the challenge of playtesting things with nothing but a single at-will power.
  • In addition to what almostcool said, I'll note that sounds use the same kinds of triggers that other objects do. They also come in "one time" or "looping". Looping sounds, as you might suspect, keep playing on an indefinite loop that's designed to be (mostly) seamless. Ones that play once will do just that, then never…
  • In case it's a corruption issue, you might want to "force verify" (in the options menu on the top-right of the launcher) your game.
  • It's usually somewhere in the range of five to twenty minutes. You'll receive an in-game mail telling you it was successful, and the status in the top-right corner will change from "currently publishing" to "published". Barring database weirdness, it should be visible in-game immediately after that. Keep in mind that…
  • When you're in the editor, one of the menu options in the top-left will let you respec your Author avatar to a level 11, 21, or 31 character of any class. Newly respecced characters get a full set of gear appropriate for their level and class. Your Author character is completely separate from all of your other characters.…
  • Quests still under review can only be searched for by their short code (NW-[alphanumerics]), and only from the "Best" tab. The "New" tab won't turn up anything on searches, and it can't be searched by name/author/etc. until it's out of the review stage.
  • Did you still have the quest in your log from before your most recent publish? Old quests will still use the old version of it.
  • I've only gotten a few reviews so far, but they've almost all left tips. Of those, most are the max tip (500). I get the impression that most people leave a tip of some sort as long as the quest's at least somewhat enjoyable. If you're doing this for the tips, though, you're probably going to be disappointed. Even the most…
  • The Foundry's definitely chugging for me right now.
  • Yeah, it's a known issue. Any step in a Foundry mission that takes you back to a public zone risks the quest dropping on you. You're stuck with rolling the dice or finding a workaround until they resolve it.
  • Yikes. I think I forgot to set an elevation >0 for the spawn point after I moved it on the walkway. I'll have to fix that when the Foundry's back up. Thanks!
  • 1) Legacy of the Knight-Captain 2) NW-DC4WODWS9 3) New (-ish) 4) About half an hour long, give or take a bit depending on how much you like to poke around/chat with the NPCs.
  • Teleporters can't be made to appear or disappear. If you want to bar access to them, you don't have any choice but to wall them off or otherwise hide them.
  • Huh. Was it both the swamp and the cave with the performance hits? Did anywhere in particular bog down more?
  • Your quest shows up fine for me on search, at least when searching from the "Best" tab. I don't see it under "New", though. NW-DKYGGYPUE, right?
  • Quests still under review can't be searched by name, only code. And even then, only from the "Best" tab, not the "New" one.
  • Hrm, shows up fine for me. That's an "O" like in "Orange", not a zero.
  • Two reviews'd get me out of "For Review" Limbo. Short code's in signature.
  • Did you attach an unpublished quest to it? Campaigns tend to vanish when that happens.
  • If this was today, I'm shocked you could even get into the Foundry, as it's disabled for editing/publishing at the moment. http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?349221-6-14-13-Unexpected-Outage-of-Foundry-Editor As groshie said, though, the Foundry was failing to publish anything for a couple days before the…
  • "Gate" is a high-end spell in D&D that lets you call in other creatures to help you, or more generically, any spell/power that pulls in reinforcements. Whether you call it a gate, summon monster, create undead, or otherwise, it's all just set dressing for spawning more encounters. The exact implementation would vary based…
  • Secret passages for just dungeoneers are pretty simple. Just make a passage and block it off with a wall/whatever. Drop an "invisible clicky sphere" that's only visible to people with a certain skill, give it a dialogue describing the search, and give the sphere and the "secret door" a "Disappear when dialogue prompt…
