All you really had to say was: Tanks can't keep aggro on every enemy. DPS please kill adds so they don't kill your cleric. All the other fluffery advice you offered is either already in the character creation screen or simply wrong.
I know because of what you said. If you actually had a 60 GWF you would have just said so. Stick to mastering what you play. If you feel someone is doing something in your own group, ask them to do what you feel is "correct". If you really feel you have mastered every class in the game enough to tell them all what they…
GF has it as a mainstat. Most other classes get a 2ndary effect out of CON that isn't too shabby. GWF gets to ignore more damage resistance for example. How high each of your stats can roll during creation depends entirely on how high you rolled elsewhere, what race you are, and what class you are. Also in case this wasn't…
You know, some people may be playing their role incorrectly, but your description of what they "should" be doing are just as laughable. Here's just one tip: Great weapons fighters have as much if not more mobility in a PVE sense than Trickster rogues, and more AoE. So why is it you have assigned GWF to single target boss…
Until I start seeing organized pvp groups facing each other, you can't even comment on PVP balance. Until every match is 1v1, 1v1 dynamics of PVP are meaningless. Everytime something OP kills you, just remember...1v1 doesn't matter. In every game since the dawn of time some classes have been insanely strong in…
Max level doesn't really take that long. I don't really see how it matters how fast they got to max level when there's nothing competitive to even compete over. I saw my wife get to 30-40 over the course of a week or so of not even playing that hard.
People can believe your change is not any better without have a better idea themselves. It really depends how much Cryptic wants to micromanage the "fairness" of the Foundry. If you start taking it too far the whole idea will fall apart with all the restrictions.
A "tab" for XP foundry missions. Worst idea ever. Hey guys here's this tab of XP foundry missions for massive leveling or silly storyline to get in your way of hitting level 60 in 12 minutes. Yeah that sounds healthy for the game. They need to focus a lot more on providing more tools and ways to keep foundry missions fair.…
Tanking and threat in this game is different than most other games. It's about keeping marks up on the right targets (ones you don't intend to hit) while you take out easier to control/kill targets. As long as you don't hit your marked targets they won't hit someone else.
I don't think there's a ton of people on at any given time who felt the need to spend the $200 for VIP lounges and such. You'll just have to learn to appreciate how few VIP's there are for your VIP lounge. That's just how very important you are.
It's a little early to be calling OP. We aren't even in official release, put the tissues away. Congratulations to the OP. It's always fun to accomplish things that you feel you shouldn't be able to do!
Yes, I will be severely limiting my purchases in Neverwinter simply because of the outageous pricing. If they ever come down, I might spend more. But I am keeping a very minimalist attitude about buying Zen for Neverwinter until they get their head straight.
It shouldn't be hard to throttle these types of quests. Limit XP gains in foundry missions to a certain amount. I'm sure there are other, creative ways to ensure people don't want to play nor make these types of maps.
The biggest problem I have with this game is how they price stuff. The prices are WAY too high. I can't see myself spending much of anything on this game if only out of principle because of the pricing.
I don't really see it as rogues being OP (though they may be). A lot of the classes are simply dull, lifeless and uninteresting. Rogues present you with more options, more flash, and more style. Even if rogues were the weakest class in the game, with the exact same abilities and tools available...I would still be a TR.…
I was extremely pleased to find out respeccing is not easy. I'd like my choices to matter, to pick a style I want and then stick to it. Not have quadra-tri-double-omni-twin options for changing my spec instantly. If your choices don't matter....then customization is kind of pointless.
If you want serious 3.x gameplay with hardcore RP survivalistic feel there is but one place to get it. NWN1, Escape from Undeath: Mistlocke (also known as EFUM). Best hardcore RP module hosted by some amazing DM's. The fact that this game is based in Faerun and on 4.x is more of a novelty than a selling point for me.
You know I can't remember how many times I've made threads or posts like the OP over the years. It doesn't matter. The only weapon against ignorance is experience. You can tell someone the reality of the situation a million times but until they actually try it out, see it working in game (or in some video) they simply…
Wouldn't be too hard to have control effects apply some kind of useful debuff to CC immune bosses. Like slow their attack speed or animation speed ect.
