  • My suspicion is that it only needs a target because the base power needs a target. Would be interesting to find out if advantage-versions of powers count as different powers in the code and can have different target setups.
  • Honestly the best way to do this would be bringing back the good old fashioned power replacers. Replace all Crushing damage with electricity, and have a mild Sparkstorm FX when you do it. That also would allow for some cool fire/electricity hybrids using blue-coloured fire FX with their electricity shenanigans for ultimate…
  • If you want a visual ‘spider-sense’ effect, I’ve found that Sonic Device works well with its FX. Doubt it’s great mechanically but aesthetically hitting that occasionally looks cool.

  • this is kinda exactly what I was looking for right now, a way to set things up, then block, and ride through things like it ain't no thing
  • That sounds cool. I used to have the worst problem with some of the older and skin-fitting female hairstyles- you could have a perfectly black hair, but you'd have this tiny little dot, perhaps where the polygons meet on the head shape, that unfortunately looks white, like a bald patch. It's easy enough to ignore, and…
  • hmm. I wonder why the subscription model is changing. I went LTS years ago and honestly have had my monies' worth of game, but it's... curious.
  • Specs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build7601) Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Memory: 6144 RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 Tested some other games, similar stuff with the original star wars battlefront... Guess I must have damaged something then. Dang.
  • That build makes sense to me. From memory Epidemic used to be amazing years ago, so going to give this a go, thanks flow!
  • > @kamokami said: > The build looks workable. • Anyone got a picture of what stoic flght looks like? Interested.
  • It's generally a non-issue except in timed stuff, because sometimes CO is janky as all hell and an enemy got knocked inside a storage container that can't be destroyed, or they're hidden away, and nobody can find them. Against bosses, it's fine, but 'defeat all enemies' and 'defeat all in x time' stuff, the rare chance of…
  • Little thing I'll throw in here as someone more casual than flow, as someone who plays with pets most of the time: as a general rule of thumb, pets are squishy enough no matter what you do that you will spend entire fights resummoning them, and against enemies that have a really solid amount of damage in each hit (for…
  • I use keyboard and mouse, though I have been trying to reconfigure a xbox controller to be able to switch between a cursor and mouse control and regular xbox controls. If I can get that working, I might be able to play Champs from bed without leaning over a keyboard. :)
  • Afaik it's mostly a case of legacy code and old stuff making it so that changing the current system would be difficult at best. There's a reason why, as far as I'm aware, we're the only Cryptic Studios mmo without the Foundry (I'm probably mistaken on that). As for a sequel... That's mostly just a matter of investment, I…
  • Ouran High School Host Club. So, a somewhat middle class girl (they say she's poor and in relative terms sure but in reality she's nowhere near actual poverty) goes to a school for extremely absurdly wealthy kids (we're talking 'buy an island on a whim' wealthy. Any of these kids could be Tony Stark if they actually had…
  • I'd say Archery is the worst, since unless you're really devoted to being an archer (and who wants to be Hawkeye, really?), there's not much that's particularly exciting about it that doesn't exist in munitions or gadgeteering. For best, in terms of what I actually play, I'd say humanoid pet powers. Now yes, they don't do…
  • 8 years? Dang, I must've been around and about for at least 6-7 of those by now...
  • Not as far as I'm aware. Might be something in the commands, I'll have a gander at the goose once my game decides it's finished installing the anniversary event bits, there might be something we can type in to hide them for people making videos with the showrecord command.
  • Hooray for Roman pieces! Seriously, most Roman characters I've seen either use Malvan pieces, which are immediately recogniseable as space alien Romans, or Spartan armour, which... is not Roman. Defende ac protege infirmos! Any connection to any female warrior superheroes in recent films is clearly a homage, isn't it Batm-…
  • Easiest way I could envisage it being done is if they added a PvP icon to the Alerts widget on the UI, which puts you in the queue for that PvP encounter. That way, people have an immediate and in your face means of discovering PvP (as it is right now you have to click on a menu then go through the tabs to Hero Games,…
  • Ah, zut alors, finally, ve vill have a chef's tote and a frying pan skin for melee weapons (and a cake funnel tube thingy for guns)! Truly, tis manifique, for ze Chef vill soon be fighting crime like all zee other heroez.
  • > No Amt-Mannish characters, no shrinking allowed. In combat. This is something I was going to bring up in another suggestions box post. Would shrinking really affect combat much now that the game's focus has been shifted more towards PvE content? I'd understand in pvp if people are click-targeting, but apart from healing,…
  • On older powers, I'd suggest the player (nonvehicle) tractor beam needs something. It was one of the first reverse repels afaik, great for pulling people into mines and sigils, but right now there's powers that does what it does far more reliably. My best guess would be to add an additional control effect to stop an enemy…
  • What I've found of recent years is that the permanent pets are handy for PvE stuff, mainly because the sheer mass of bodies and you doing basically nothing means you sometimes will get away with enemies targeting the easily resummoneable pets instead of you. That said, temporary pets are almost always superior in terms of…
  • We really need official videos of these auras as they come out. I know there's a channel on youtube that did them, but I honestly can barely tell what the aura's going to look like from a static image.
  • 1. More crowns. With superheroes, it's rather easy to fall into the trap of creating superheroes who claim to be regal in some way. So, here's my suggestions: Crown Basic needs a variant that's a full crown, circling the entire head rather than just the tiara-ish front. Crown Regal: Basically something like this: since…
  • This might just be me, but I used to find PvP a blast, way back when, a bit around when Perfect World took over. It was what we did before you youngin's newfangled Alerts and such faddle. Winning PvP, well, that there's a different endeavour entirely, but duking it out against other people who could attack from any angle…
  • For my main characters... "Queen of the Light" "Sovereign of Darkness" "I ATEN'T DED" "Probably not evil" "Magical Wizard Queen" "Blackredder" "Regal" "Beacon of Madness" "Bacon of Madness" "Reformed Villain" "Is... that a Qulaar?" "Babylon's Emissary" "Chosen of the Empress"
  • Dang, I did not know it had a chance to summon a zombie. Here I am, necromancer with 16+ pets minimum at the start of a fight if the devices are cooled down, and I have one device slot empty and there's a device that fits my theme perfectly... Guess that's next on my to-do list of stuff to grab for that character.
  • Honestly I like things being unbalanced so long as it's inconsistently unbalanced. Sometimes Infernal's OP, no wait now it's Tractor Beam and pets and confuse powers, now fire destroys everything. It kind of feels right for a superhero game that superpowers are inconsistent and sometimes get more powerful sometimes are not.
  • Technically anyone can get to Vibora without even levelling beyond level 10. Do the Day at the Mall Alert, use the powerhouse in that alert (after you've defeated the boss in that alert. Good Champions don't leave their team behind to face a foe alone!), and then leave the old school powerhouse you'll end up in. You'll be…
  • Since recognition's existence came about after a push to fuse the various currencies together, I concur.
  • To be fair, the very concept of a Nemesis is a weird one in game terms. By its nature it has to be vague so the player can fill in the blanks: the moment they get specific (what is this Lemurian artefact? You'll never know because it's too easy to break your nemesis' character with the wrong choice.), it takes you out of…
  • This is literally how upselling works. What eventually happens is a stable price after which a consumer will not buy it will emerge. So let's say a vehicle's true worth is... 500G, and someone sells it for that. Now, with good marketing and tge right customer, a seller could maybe get 600, 700 for that. That's fine. That's…
  • Yeah, the game's in a better place now than it was. A few years back that's all you heard on MC Zone: "waily waily waily, crivens, they're going to shut us down because they want to focus on Neverwinter and STO!" But, since then, there's been at least 3 amazing new events, updates to powers and mechanics (some good, some…
  • Thank you for keeping to Powerhouse's design pretty much because some people like myself are kind of stupid and changes probably would have confused me.
  • Throne of Tako seems interesting since it's the best vehicle design I've seen so far for people who are wizardy sorts who don't want to be on a motorbike or obviously tech thing. I can only assume it's random drop or T-coin, so I will have to step up my game to get it before the event's over.
  • I didn't like him as a ghost, but as a regular crow it gives an effect not unlike Maleficent's Diabolo from the cartoon Disney version of Sleeping Beauty, which has made the crow a permanent addition.
  • "You won't like me when I'm angry." "Why not?" "Well, I get headaches, and it hurts, and then I'm irritable."
  • I have to admit I'm not fond of the design of this one... Except the hood. Everything else feels a bit too close to the design of a few other long-ago costume pieces, but the hood looks suspiciously like it uses the jiggle physics that anime hair had based on the wiggle on that one side, so it might be worth picking up,…
  • Wasn't consolidating the currencies how we ended up with recognition tokens in the first place? I seem to recall there was a big thing at the time 'gaaah we have like, a bajillion currencies to deal with, so here's the deal players, we'll consolidate all them into one big gloopy blob of stuff, called recognition, which is…
  • New summoneables and a block that throws you into stealth? I like. Must try this out.
  • I have to admit I agree, despite my love of all things magic and my inability to stick with a character that isn't a magical queenly type for long. It seems like half the actual story of the entire game revolves around the Qliphoth. That said, I'm curious about the phrasing of this. That snippet says it's a ZONE? As in, a…
  • Huh. Fire hair is a weird one for me, since for Flamewar (whose entire schtick is 'huh I can make her hair look like it's on fire'), I've kind of already made the ideal fire effect with a orangey psionic hair on top of regular hair of the same colour. Hmm. I'll give it a go though, and hope it isn't a redundant thing that…
  • I remember it used to be really great at one point, since it had a large range if tiny damage, meaning you could sort of scatter it over fields of enemies, like cropdusting, doing okayish damage but on a huge scale. I think they're not fond of large AoEs now, so I dunno.

  • Ice obviously, since it is literally just hard water. But beyond that, with ice, there's also a few telepathy powers that'd fit in, like Telekinetic Lance, Crushing Wave... Force Choke works a treat underwater (i.e. in Lemuria) as a 'I am drowning you with water manipulation'. What else... Hmm. You could probably make a…
  • Hm. Well, technically the game did have intentions to ported on the Xbox 360. I'm not sure what happened with that, but it used to be in the description of the game on Windows, in the hovertip in the Games menu. "on PC and Xbox 360, blah blah blah". controller support is there, though, although it's clear with newer menus…
