So About The Mind Control Power

So, I've just tested around with the Mind Control power and Im a little bit confused, and even might be slightly annoyed. I''m unsure on how it works excaly. Besides what it tells me..

Takes over target, forced to fight for you, after effect takes damage by their "rank", High level not effected

So, whats this high-ranking vs high level?, cuz the test dummy's on each level can be controlled no issue, however when I played with it inside the Lermairan Battle Station and used ghost pratires, the first spawned mobs didn;t get effected.

So what am I missing here?, cuz if I think what I think it means, then the devs don;t understand how MIND CONTROL works. (I shuold show them the game Xcom 2)

Thanks Legion

It works on targets classed as Henchmen or Villain, but not Master Villain, Enforcer, or higher. I believe there are some npc types that are immune because no-one really focused on normalizing it.

Yeah it only affects Henchman (1-bar enemies) or Villains (2-bar enemies), and nothing higher. Its a bit diff than a Confuse since it actually makes the enemy an ally temporarily. Where w/ Confuses the target is still marked as hostile and it/you can still attack eachother (and inc dmg breaks the confuse early- ala any paralyze), for domination (from Mind Control or Endbringer's Grasp) ya can't attack the dominated target- only enemy npcs can. After domination wears off, Mind Control does a fix %age health dmg to that target, depending on their rank and the rank of Mind Control taken.

It does proc Manip, but doesn't seem to proc any spec-related debuffs like Wither, Vuln, or Sentinel Mastery. It also has a pretty long cd, and must be fully charged to work. It does effectively nothing vs. bosses or higher-ranked mobs, unless ya take the disorient adv (but imo that's a waste since there's other ways to apply Disorient that aren't on a long cd, and the charge/power itself does no dmg to those types of targets anyways).

Its mostly just a weird tool to mess around trash mobs with, but more of a novelty power than anything. Kinda like Telekinesis- its has limited uses, but its mostly for flair.

1 and 2-section health bars above- henchman and villains that are vulnerable to Mind Control. Basically, any enemy w/ a 3-section health bar will be immune to Mind Control.

Huh, so they made a new version of the old Confuse effect?

Since it's seperate, would that mean that powers that have Confuse have a seperate resistance, so you could control an enemy, then when that wears off, control them again with the other power?

If so, then dang, I need to play a telepath and get the boop boop booping going, asap.

I believe it checks and applies confuse resistance.

Yeah domination and confuse are on the same resistance (Confusion-typed)
