  • I'd have to agree with the concept of a fleet mark bank. That would ensure a supply of fleet marks would be available for projects. As much as I would like to send my KDF fleet marks to my Fed characters/fleet, I'd agree that the KDF would not allow resources to be sent to help build up Fed fleet and vice-versa.
  • I agree that the Romulan Republic (RR) flagship should be on par with the ODYSSEY Class Star Cruiser or BORTASQU Class Cruiser. I figured some super/heavy D'deridex looking warbird would have been the flagship. The alternative could have been a HA'APAX Class (and subclasses) Warbird even by the game wiki is classed as…
  • I'd prefer a Romulan equivalent warbird to the AVENGER Class or MOGH Class battlecruisers over a counter to the ODYSSEY Class Star Cruiser or BORTASQU Class Cruiser. I think the SCIMITAR Class in some ways is part way between the two but I don't fly that class. On my Fed character, I now "fly" a Fleet AVENGER. It would be…
  • Simple supply and demand. Honestly, why spend EC early? You'll advance out of the Tier in ten levels anyway. Save the EC for later until you amass enough to get the fleet, reputation, or whatever gear you choose for your character, ship(s), and BOFFs.
  • Most of my ship, character, and BOFF gear has come from the missions, reputation, fleet spire/dilithium mine, and some EC purchases on the exchange. I am trying to figure out the new system. I think for now, I will level it up on the characters I play most. This is more so to ensure I'd not behind should some new equipment…
  • Before new uniforms, I'll take a warbird (battlecruiser) equivalent to the Klingon MOGH Class and Federation AVENGER Class cruisers, including a fleet variant. Okay, granted it's a warbird which means no cruiser commands but we'd get Romulan battlecloak by default, singularity powers, and a "unique" Romulan ability, like…
  • That I think is an understatement. The UI is truly terrible. It's a lot more clunkier and not by any means an improvement. It's a downgrade. You can't sort/filter to assign DOFFs. The unsorted list (other than from purple down to common and then to DOFFs with traits that go against the assignment) is even worse. It makes…
  • I agree with that sentiment but at the same time, I'd like to see the Romulan Republic deploy an equivalent to the Federation AVENGER Class and Klingon MOGH Class cruisers. Obviously there will be the usual modifiers that account for the Romulan battle cloak and singularity powers.
  • House always wins. Vegas gives away money to give you hope. Meanwhile, they've easily made thousands of times more than the total sum of payouts on a given day. Some wins when gambling, it's more like the flag that marks the hole on a golf course. Something to give you hope or a bit of a taste of victory to get you to…
  • He might even fail at that. The only reason I keep him around is cause I've trained him in different skill sets that I find useful for space combat. I use a different set of BOFFs as the away team, department heads/first officers, escorts on New Romulus, etc...
  • Maybe, but the Tal Shiar could use the ship to set up the Republic for some nefarious crime of thiers.
  • Same here. It looks like we'll be forever debating the whole Romulan and Reman thing. I don't know much about it other than it's some nice reading that pops up throughout the forums. With that said, the thead is " Romulans Need a New Ship!". As I've stated it in other posts before, there needs to be a Romulan counter…
  • Yes but it would be an interesting story arc or offer different game play. Your fleet could be one of those groups vying for power/influence. It might get a little more RTS like but how well (and big) your fleet contributes would also provide some sort of internal Romulan Star Empire ranking, which in turn affects your…
  • I don't know about stonedpenguiin. I'm not a Trekkie aside from whatever I've learned from seeing the movies and this game. But for exact classes, I'm sure they'd look at the Narada (from the reboot movie, 2009). I'd also like to add besides rank meaning something, at Earth does everyone get the docking procedure message…
  • Thank you all for responding and I'd like to respond to your points. I know we have one but none of us really know what's there and what it looks like. I mean, High Command is place with a nice vista so it must be on the edge of the canyon. What does the Reman part of the new captial look like? Much to explore if it ever…
  • Big No. The Romulans need to become a full faction. I'd consider adding the Romulan Star Empire as a divergent story arc over any new factions. I think there should be a push for additional/new (active) Klingon players. From what I've seen here on the forums and limited time playing my Klingon character, well they need…
  • I hate quoting myself but I'd like to lead off with an old post of mine, right here * Probably wouldn't happen but there are "two sides" to the Romuilan storyline. So, I'd have to say the full fledged Romulan Star Empire (RSE) as a separate independent, playable faction with it's own content and episodes. This also means…
  • Same. Hope they extend the mirror event cause now I'll be behind by two nights on some characters. Barely will make it to 14 if this keeps up.
  • That is true, but peronsally like the existing style bridge and interior. It would be nice to have more options. However, even introducing npcs you can interact with (as stated previously for KDF and FED) would be a small start.
  • Right but how are you AFK if you're disabling the tractor beams? I got hit with the same AFK penalty in Azure nebula too. Unlike the OP, I did not have to shoot any of my weapons (at least as far as I recall). You still have to hit the "f" key (how appropriate) to disable the tractor beam. It may be a mission "exploit" but…
  • First off, I'd expect something like this from the Klingons in general, being more tactically and militarily oriented. I'd like to see the KDF counterpart(s) come out. Maybe add some fighter capability? The Federation/Starfleet would have to play catch up when they "stumble" upon them (in battle, intelligence gathering,…
  • To be perfectly clear, I'd like to see a full, playable Romulan Star Empire faction. I think the Romulan Republic or the Romulan Star Empire would be the better choice. Obviously some elements would be similar to the Romulan Republic given the common roots of both factions. The Romulan Star Empire would have its own…
  • I'll take it for my bridge officers... but there is the TOS uniforms to start with. Beyond just trophies, the Federation bridges have additional capabilities. You can walk around and talk to the different officers in like the engine room, lab, medical bay, etc... basically all of your department heads (even though they're…
  • I'd have to agree that factions should fly, be equipped or rather have different "kits" to be installed. Though in this game, the ships are set for "plug and play" with whatever weapons, consoles, engineers, shields, and what not. This "customizability" in some ways erodes the differences between factions but can make some…
