Is anyone else with this vessel unable to give it the I.R.W. prefix? It seems to be the only romulan vessel I have where this is not possible.

I think that's because it's a republic vessel. Most of the others (Mogai, Scim ect) are also used by the Tal-Shiar so IRW is an option

I can give my mirror version that prefix. That's what really makes me scratch my head.

Sijce according to STO the Arkif is the first RR ship, it's of RSE origin and thus SHOULD be able to use IRW prefix. Anyways, i guess it's a bug since other versions of the ship can use IRW as well.

ALL Warbirds should have the option to use the IRW, even the Ar'kir/Ar'kala. It is clear that if the Tal Shiar really wanted to, they could easily run off with one of the Republic's new ships. Heck, an agent was able to beam into D'Tan's private office without much difficulty.

Technically the mirror version shouldn't have the I.R.W. prefix. Bit of an oversight on the dev's end. Pretty much all of the 'new' romulan designs should only have the R.R.W. as an option (ignoring alliance choice options) because they were constructed during the new Republic movement (i.e post Star Empire).

Yeah but they don't use it do they? Plus if the mighty Tal Shiar has to lower themselves to using a lowly Republic vessel wouldn't that be a blow to their pride?

Maybe, but the Tal Shiar could use the ship to set up the Republic for some nefarious crime of thiers.

A real spy doesn't let pride blind him/her to taking the necessary steps to do their job. For a true spy, NOTHING is beneath their dignity. In fact, some of the best spies took on the roles of servants or other "touchable" (i.e. Dalit, Burakumin, Baekjeong, etc.) or "invisible" support personnel whose presence is completely ignored.

Exactly. What better way to discredit the Republic than to hijack one of their new ships and cause mischief under a false flag.

Not necessarily. My scorpion doesn't have the IRW prefix.
