Given I regularly buy Zen and the Stipend does not show in the Zen history, how exactly am I supposed to know if I have received too much in April/May or whether I've just been screwed over in June?
If we don't post, what other means do we have to improving the product we actually do want to play? Sure we could quit, and get nothing out of it. But if we voice our opinions, there is a chance, no matter how slight, of being heard. Quitting en masse would do little except accelerate the life cycle toward MMO closure…
*Knock knock* Who's there? Gorn Away. Gorn Away who? Gorn away from this game because I never get to play due to downtime and game crippling bugs due to poor patch testing. Geddit? As to people dissing the IT boss - sure his company may not compare, but many other MMOs are comparable and the vast majority of…
No, learning that an incomplete and free alpha/beta test of an unreleased and unfinished game is as bad as a live and paid for product is not reassuring. It is exactly the opposite. It makes the game we are paying for as bad as one that isn't released due to bugs. When you are patching/expanding a game that is LIVE with…
Because we have had 4 weeks of continual server crashes and log in issues BEFORE the launch. Because a week ago they installed new hardware and assured us all was well. Because they already made Neverwinter a complete cluster**** and we didn't think they could be quite so stupid this time? Because software is supposed to…
Another attempt, 1GB managed again, then the launcher crashed. Now when I try to log in I have a 4Gb download just to play the current version. Except its downloaded 100Mb in 15 minutes. Yay.
Again, I have already explained repeatedly as well. This is not what I am seeing happen. As I noted. I tried several times, I am not such a numpty as to spam the thing, I wait, I give it time, I am not new to this launcher, even if I am new to the forums. Last night it downloaded 34% before freezing. This morning I tried…
YOU are the one not listening. I am aware of all of these numbers. Every time I start patching it starts with NOTHING patched. This morning I spent time watching it manage to both download and patch 1500 Kb of the total, despite it having managed to download over 1Gb last night. It started again with NOTHING. Every single…
There's a lot of things Cryptic aren't bothered about, but I don't consider doing nothing to be the right answer to those either. Like the continual server outages. I would quite like not to be left as a second class citizen by a company I am paying to access their product. Telling me its broken and that's tough is not a…
I do know what I am talking about. Last night I ran the same first few percent over and over again from 0% with NOTHING "magically" downloaded each time. Then I left it over night and it got as far as 34%. This morning I tried against several times, each time with NOTHING and starting over with 0% and no data incoming from…
Pre-patch. Oh... wait.... 34%... 2%.... 0%....0%....0%...0%.....1%.... Well I tried. Enjoy LOR the 2% of the customer base that manage to patch the client by launch.
As mentioned in Tech Support thread also - tried a dozen times, all failing between 2meg (a fraction of 1%) or at most 34%. I'm not happy for a ****ty patch server to cause me to exceed my ISP download limits.
I'm having the same issues as well. I've tried a dozen times mostly freezing at 1% or once reaching 34% and stopping again, but otherwise not getting too far. Its also extremely stupid that it cannot handle a partial download and work in stages - downloading a massive patch over and over again is going to breach my ISP…
Special thanks to Cryptic for wiping out the ENTIRE European evening peak time today, its really been appreciated. PS. What's left to investigate, its happened like 8 times now and you've allegedly fixed it several times already, so? Oh wait, that's it, you guys still don't have a ****ing clue. I forgot.
Last outage was around a Friday midnight for US -light server usage at best, and this is just more of the same. Given that its still the working day for big chunks of the US, this is not at all primetime.
Error server is online, presumably not part of their main site then? Oh wait.. And they don't pay to host in a server farm with UPS and generator back up, despite running a 24/7 online world that is their entire source of revenue? *Facepalm* Lets try not to fob people off with ****e rumours that are still no excuse.
Quoted for truth. Also, the EVE server cluster is so far beyond the scope and scale of almost any other MMO simply because it is a giant single instance game. 15 minutes daily downtime is hardly a major price to pay for a game that is still going massively strong a decade later. In my experience EVE was offline for…
Given that this is the 3rd or 4th major outage, all co-incidentally around the time of Neverwinter Open Beta testing and they have now had a good week or so to resolve these continuing issues, then yes, it should be under control. Having ALL their games tied to a single server system is UNFORGIVABLY STUPID. Any and every…
EVE can be fantastic, but it is very niche and very cuthroat and has serious permanent impacts when you get stuff wrong. The fact you lose stuff (even skills trained sometimes) when you die, and the fact it can be the heavily meta-gamed makes it more risky than most are willing to take. Still, it kept me hooked for years.…
