If you are starting a new character, then it absolutely is a pain to do. It's basically an hour or more doing new traits Yes, you can do it in one run of Rescue & Search if you have everything set up, but on a new character, you don't. It's just a slog.

You can rename them. I tried to remove the "Hologram" part of their name, but that only worked for Janice Rand, since all the other have restricted names (though you could call them something else and it works)

While you can obviously still play other builds, having a gravity well spore infused build can just really dominate many maps / TFOs. to the point where you're simply choosing to play a less efficient style because of variety. Which is ridiculous.

I am very skeptical the 11th bundle sold well, given I almost never see one of the ships from it, while it's rare to do a TFO without someone flying a 10th anniversary ship or a Legendary D7

I actually would not be surprised to see more single legendary ships for $50-60 each. I didn't really have any problem with Azure, basically you just have to camp the spawning points. Seems like it needs a dramatic ending, like you freeing the Liaset or something. The Vault on the other hand is mostly waiting for your ship to go off red alert, so you can move to the next mob and annhilliate it in 3 seconds

If you upgrade a certain ship, then you can upgrade that same ship on other characters for free. I've done this multiple times, including that one.

Those ships are just for admiralty. With that said, the Jem Hadara t5u ship should only be like 1000, And T5 lockbox ships are viable and cheap. The Hirogen even has a free upgrade

One thing that might be overlooked - the Ominous Device console can now be used on any ship. I'm not sure the clickie is useful, but it gives a passive +20% all damage...
