  • Honestly, I think there's a simpler thing to ask. 1: How much per month do you spend on other PW games? 2: How much more are you willing to pay per month on the stuff here because we are "better" (Less lag, better text, etc)? All other information and values can be derived from those numbers.
  • Confirmation. Trend Micro Internet Security detects launcher.exe as a generic trojan. It grabbed the exe from the launcher subdirectory as well as the download grabbed by the patcher. Trend Micro IS 2008 Version 16.10.1182 Scan Engine 8.900.1001 Pattern 5.523.50 I'm offloading the quarentined file to a test bed to see if I…
  • I believe the concern was at the "line of people" at the chest. Only one personcan use it at a time, so everybody else has to wait and/or try to ninja the next turn.
  • elements.data ... That file which crawls slowly, being generally not-happy because of server overload. My client had network congestion and timed out, so it tried again and became much happier. Until the patcher crashed. Yay for pack files. :\ Either way, the update went smoothly the second time when it didn't have network…
  • Karmelia: Folks who actually look for bugs generally tend to be too intelligent to be the kind of fans... fanatics, literally... that make good advertising lackeys. Marketing doesn't want to have smart people as a general rule. Marketing wants sheep and "trickable" people. It's wholly a "If you spent enough time 'playing',…
  • "and then you swim in freaking out about RQ that RQ this - as always." - Irbis You must be mistaking me for somebody else. There is already a challenge out to find five (out of this 13% of all the forum threads that you claim) RQ mentioning threads that I have posted in at all. Can you meet this challenge? Regardless, at…
  • It's actually a very good marketing technique. Give free stuff to people who have proven to be the most "loyal" to the game by puting a huge amount of effort into it. In this case, levelling. This gives those fans an extra reason to stick around and spread their enthusiasm. This is a more effective method than the review…
  • Because of the fact that CB Names will be wiped and OB names won't, and OB-and-ongoing names will be permanent (Unless the character is deleted), it's always important to avoid using GOOD names for CB. Especially not your own important names. If folks don't like you, they will promptly steal it as quick as possible. So…
  • I've made the discovery that your accusations still stand unfouded. Other than that, this topic is protected against spamming, derailing, and trolling just like any other. You're putting yourself into a potentially disciplinable position. Edit? I don't see a delete. I see that edits made left a note indicating they were…
  • Oh, and no, not from PS. Never played that, sorry. I do know of about 50 or more different people named "Kitfox" though.
  • Technically "Carebear" is supposed to be referring to the cheesily-friendly fluffy bears from the children's series that are almost too disgustingly sweet. They fight and make everything better by hugs and by the "care bear stare", which is a special "attack" from the tripperiffic pictures on their tummies that generally…
  • Don't like the rant? Don't read it. Otherwise you're just ranting about the ranters and making yourself into quite the hipocrite. This thread originally started out as a plea from somebody for PKers to tone it down and let people have fun on the last day of CB. Some PKers said "Yeah, I will", and some PKers said "Hahaha!…
  • Amusing... The little thing doesn't know when the appellations being placed on it are connotatively derogatory. I never fail to gain happiness from people like that. "Look at me! I want attention!" they say. Infamy has been accomplished. Most folks know the difference between "Famous" and "Infamous". Make me laugh more RQ.…
  • That's like asking a school bully to respect the geeks who will be his managers years from then. As long as people can get their jollies from pushing buttons and making pixels change in a manner that is to their liking (In this case, killing another toon), they will. Let them have their fun. Remember: They do it because…
  • If the zen store uses PayPal to accept payments, then PayPal it is, even if you have your own debit card.
  • Ahem. Just like merchant credit card accounts, PayPal charges the SELLER to accept payments. 2.9% plus $0.30 for most accounts. However, see https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside for details.
  • Simply put, Sellign via PayPal is subjecting yourself to being a merchant. Just like owning a store, you're opening yourself to potential fraud and theft. If you don't protect yourself properly, you're going to be stolen from. As for BUYING using PayPal: Free to the buyer. Very secure. Many major merchants use it. Enjoy.
  • Stuff in {} is mine. 8+ years of selling with PayPal. -NEVER- EVER had a payment reversed successfully by a scammer.
  • nHancer is simply a graphics card setting control panel. It does not do anything that gives you an advantage in the game, nor does it modify the game files. It simply changes graphics card settings to improve the rendering quality of the display. As such, I can see no reason that it would be bannable.
  • When a F2P game becomes F2B/P2P, that's pretty bad. technically, Commercial WoW is f2p. Free trial! Don't spend a penny, play the game! Of course, to do anything beyond that free trial, you have to pay. When other F2P games become the same idea, but just hidden in a fancier manner (Bigger trial, so to speak), it's bad.
  • Quick cautionary statement for folks: Some of the sites that you can post reviews to have a policy stating that you give them exclusive rights to the review when you post it. Be cautious, since these sites can and DO look for other copies of the same review posted elsewhere and put in DMCA takedown orders against them.…
  • Smith Hu, Tailor Hu, Guard Hu, Banker Hu... Too Many Hu's. I'm not goming up with names for every Hu unless they hire me onto the team and pay me though. My writing makes me too much money to give away too much effort for free.
  • Official end result: I'll play this instead of MY-EN because A: It is SLIGHTLY better translated than MY-EN (I'm sorry... Pet Skill Trainer Garfield?... *twitch*) B: No lag. C: PvE servers. Will I play it instead of WoW? Sometimes, but not as often. Too many Hu's and too little immersion. Am I or my friends likely to pay…
  • How about a cookie recipe for 4-6 dozen cookies?
  • Quest: Tailor Hu's quest to get "Emerald Embroidery Satin" claims "take these clothes" in the text but gives no items.
  • With the Sharptooth Wolfling pet quest, the text claims "The Sharpwooth Wolfling I gave you starts out with a Loyalty of 100. ..." The wolfling in fact starts with a Loyalty of 250.
  • Okay, seriously... Pet Skill Trainer Hu Bookmerchant Hu Craftsman Hu Tailor Hu Meh. Quest Function Error City of the Lost PW Botique Agent (260,637) Two quests show up as "Unavailable Function"

  • Welp, CB is only 1 week. From what i can surmise, this is "pretested" and "predeveloped" software with just localizations in question on the IntEN version. Use the Element Client, run an element server (Or whatever the server is called), and populate the database with the proper text. As such, other than load testing and…
