They put some r1 enchants into the capstone missions for some of the leveling zones from Icespire Peak on and, I think, replaced the Heart of Fire enchant in the Acquisitions Inc line with an r1 choice pack. There are a lot of the old enchants still around, however: some of the individual mission rewards, some of the…
As to the old enchantments, anything below rank 10 is pretty much only good for RP conversion and anything below rank 12 is of dubious value in the exchange process. The Heart of Fire rank 14 enchantment is an outlier and can't be used in the exchange process unless the devs change something later. Things like the…
And they didn't even make a clean sweep of the old enchants. They're still coming up in mission-level content after they fixed the zone capstones, still on the Zen store, and still coming out of older lockboxes.
I'm just curious, and maybe this has come up elsewhere in this thread, as to what the Devs expect the experience of an incoming new player will be like under the proposed enhancement system. Will some of these be given out during the leveling process? Do they expect a new player to sling around a million or so AD for the…
Is the 100 Iron Curio reward supposed to be 5 gold? That's practically worthless in this game. I can certainly see a drop from 100k AD after the first character to claim it but to drop all the way down to 5 gold is a bit extreme.
Bug:The Vault quest to rescue Sybella and check on the crown of Neverwinter appears to be repeatable, however, accepting it from Sgt. Knox sent me right back into the tutorial. Feedback:Overall, I like the new tutorial a bit better but I hope that the cutscenes and other appearances of the dracolich are not in their final…
Yep, the problem persists. Although this time I can get as far as the character select screen which then times out trying to load character information. I get this on STO, too.
I'm in exactly the same boat and just hit that today. From what I've seen in the threat so far it looks like it's a bunch of missions paying out 3x Quartz when they offered something else and that interacting with the bag somehow?
The only thing we've really got is Wizards of the Coast, the holders of the IP, and they largely don't care what happens here as long as they get their licensing fees. If this somehow blew back on the larger D&D brand then, maybe, they'd take some kind of action but that's the only way they'd move.
Thanks! I didn't expect the url to just embed the thing but, here there it went. This one, I think, is also on-point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mhz9OXy86a0
I'm just going to drop this right here. The Extra Credits guys do a decent job of explaining the problem with f2p these days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwI0u9L4R8U
Not sure if mine's related or not. It's taking me -forever- to change instances in the Dread Ring. Loading is happening, albeit at a glacial pace, with no SNRs but I'm fast approaching the 10 minute mark.
Are they even reading our suggestions? Doesn't look like it. Figure out what you think the 'average' player, and that includes a lot of casuals so keep that in mind, should be pulling down per hour of play and scale awards based on that. Diversify AD sources so that players can earn AD their own way rather than the handful…
Unfortunately Cryptic and PWE aren't run by Devs or even people who neccessarily enjoy gaming, they're run by the bean counters. To those people we are nothing more than a revenue stream and the path to greatest profitability is to be pursued at all times. The whales drop more money on this game than the rest of us…
So, basically, unless you're in a large, rich guild that can get to the level 12 stronghold holdings quickly masterwork professions aren't for you. Don't delude yourself with the whole 'they'll need other materials' bit because large guilds have lots of people to provide those. If you're in a small guild, or not even in…
And with all of the talk of changes to the game, some of the ideas actually quite well thought out, the one element that continues to disturb me is just how silent the devs have been on this subject. The change to the GMoP pricing was a good first step, more need to be taken and sooner rather than later, but first and…
I wouldn't get my hopes up on that one. We've been waiting for a while on the PC side and their only concession has been the SMoP/GMoP/MoP pricing change. Leadership remains the slowest levelling profession in the game, now with the worst rewards, and all of the other AD sinks are in place at their full cost unless you…
Yeah the ~250 number sounds about right and was almost certainly their near-launch goal but various exploits and ever-growing prices on the AH did a number on that one. Once the AD:Zen price spiked to 500:1 and the backlogs started, they had a rough time getting it to drop even a little bit.
