Players are leaving or not playing much - I think this is the reason for the lower activity on the ZAX. Just look at the results of the poll in the "Are you happy with Neverwinter" thread in this forum area.
I've got to say it . . . Bots are flooding the game since they can no longer bot leadership using gateway. Bots have not been harmed, just redirected into the game. Casual players like myself took the hit. I haven't played the game at all in over a week.
As the band Naked Eyes so eloquently put it in a song back in 1983: "You made me promises, promises Knowing I'd believe promises, promises You knew you'd never keep" :)
This is actually a lot better than it used to be, when there was a 12 million AD backlog. I'll bet there a LOT less active players now, based on those much lower overall volumes. Players eventually leave when bugs are left unfixed for months on end and change implemented that anger players . . .
Interesting. I just checked out Forsaken World - looks an awful lot like NW - classes, races, occupations, pets, PvP, guilds, auction house, etc. Maybe we should all "forsake" NW and start playing FW? :)
LOL! That's pretty funny . . . and true! As I've said before, bots are just going to log-in to bot leadership now. This removal of leadership from the gateway did NOTHING to reduce botting for AD. It just made some casual legit players mad. I've even stopped playing the game completely for now - I have not logged -in nor…
Yep! Worst anti-botting measure I have ever seen used in my gaming history. It does nothing to reduce botting - bots will simply bot leadership IN THE GAME. No sweat for the bots, but negatively impacts legit players, like me. Be prepared for extreme lag in the game as the bots flood the instances. In-game GMs is a FAR…
As I stated before, it does not work for my current situation, which is not likely to change anytime soon. I can't "adapt" because I have little or no time to run professions on my PC at home. I choose FOLD! Time to move on, I guess. :(
In-game GMs DO work. Runescape has used them for many years. This is probably one of the best games on the planet for addressing bot control. They have even held bot killing parties at specific scheduled times so other players could watch the bots get destroyed. Great game, but I lost interest after 6 years and some…
It took me about 300 or so tries to get it. I have seen some people report needing 600 tries to get it. If you want it, plan to spend a LONG time running the epic dungeons in TotSC. :)
I have dedicated over 2 years to this game as well as about $250 of my money. I love the concept of the D&D-based game and the graphics. I have no clue where to go now. I have started playing a new card-based strategy game a little, but miss the MMO world. This game used to be fun and didn't require so much time investment…
With the hours I work, I don't have that much time in the morning anymore. I am about to absorb the role of two jobs for several months and now preparing for that (will start in about a week). When I get home, I have MANY responsibilities around the house since I have two teenage kids. I make dinner some of the time,…
You need to consider that some people are in different situations than others before calling this issue ridiculous. I CANNOT manage Leadership during the day because I am at work and cannot download the game on my work PC (unauthorized software). I can, however, work the gateway because it is browser-based and does not…
That's great for non-casual players . . . This game definitely has focused on making changes to adversely impact casual players. I should know - I WAS one! (notice the past tense verb). Ugh!
ATTENTION PWE/CRYPTIC MANAGEMENT: If you remove Leadership from the gateway, I am done. And I PROMISE to take as many other players with me that I can. Some people have NO CLUE how to run a successful gaming company. Wake the hell up! Botters are going to bot, just like PC virus makers are going to keep making PC viruses.…
"Glory days well they'll pass you by Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye Glory days, glory days" In remembrance of the days before Mod 6 . . . :)
FYI, it took me about 350 runs to get the Lightfoot Thief companion. And sometimes I noticed the companion gear drops were worse at some times than others. But one way to increase the odds is to open all chests you encounter. There were a few times I got a companion gear item from a chest and at the boss battle at the end…
