Indeed. It works pretty well in most areas, but it is pretty worthless in IWD and WoD - personal experience. :)

FYI, it took me about 350 runs to get the Lightfoot Thief companion. And sometimes I noticed the companion gear drops were worse at some times than others. But one way to increase the odds is to open all chests you encounter. There were a few times I got a companion gear item from a chest and at the boss battle at the end…

I don't think these forums are that bad. No, they are not as user-friendly as the prior version, but they still serve the primary purpose of the forums: communication. Now, let's get back to fixing long-term bugs and glitches in the game. :)

I agree with bioshrike, for what it's worth, but it does depend on your current gear, level, etc. Lots of variable involved. And I actually did upgrade my Ioun Stone to legendary, so I know what I am talking about . . . I think . . . :)

I really did see it start 10 minutes late once . . . But I'd never start it early under any circumstances as there is likely a player or two that is hurrying to finish something and then "bam!" When in doubt, start a minute or two late would be my mantra. :)

Ah cool. I played RS from 2006 to 2012, but gave it up after that. Did not like the combat changes that kept coming. It is the simplicity of combat that originally attracted me to the game - was more like pencil-and-paper D&D. Had most skills at 99 except for 4 of them. Gave away my 120 million gold to my guild. :)

My ever-dwindling set of "primary" characters are all still in the best blue gear I can get (except for some crafted rings and necklaces). Some of us casual players don't have the time to grind high-end dungeons just to get the purple gear. Would be nice if they made it BoE - those who had the time to grind could earn AD…

It's easy to say this is not a big issue when you have lots of time to dedicate to the game. Due to my busy life, every second counts for me. I get maybe an hour a day (if that) to play. It seems like since the game can "detect" your PC components/performance (especially video performance) there might be some way to program something to assist with this . . . But this is really a minor issue compared to the plethora of bugs and glitches that have lived for months on end . . .
