  • Chuuls, hydras, nagas, troglodytes, trolls, wyverns, and dinosaurs.
  • Again, though, it's not about our ability to heal, or how playable the class is. Yes, it is still possible to solo-heal all PvE content. The big -- HUGE -- issue is that, after the patch, the cleric became completely one-dimensional, and not in a good way. Before the patch we had more options about what powers to use,…
  • Good to hear... As long as your "fix" does not include adding something stupid, like, say, oh, "This effect can only occur once every 60 seconds", because, frankly, you've screwed with clerics enough already. Thanks.
  • Because it's their game, their concept and their choice, in the end? I mean, seriously, if you value a "dedicated" ranged dps class -- I am forcing myself not to say "wtf man... play a wizard and then tell me they're not a dps class", so I won't say it -- so much, then don't play their game, or wait until they release a…
  • Me... And my familiar... At least it feels that way most days... :P
  • It's a multifaceted issue. In PvE we are basically forced to do AE heals, since a) single targeting in a chaotic battle situation is very near impossible, b) Healing Word is not exactly a huge heal able to cope with the damage output of T1/2 mobs, and c) Soothing light not only is underwhelming, heal-wise, it also eats our…
  • What do you mean? There's only one type of enchantment that gives +Defense, and that's the Azure. As a cleric you won't really go with +Deflect enchantments. If you're talking about Armor Enchantment slot, then the Soulforged enchantment is arguably the best for defense as it gives a few seconds of immunity to all damage.
  • It's not really a question about being playable or not. Technically, yes, it is playable both in PvE and PvP. The real question is: Is it still fun? For me, the answer so far is a resounding "No", especially where PvP is concerned. We are a lot more limited in our selection of powers. There are frequent times and…
  • Quick question, Mewbrey... Do you think that those 3 points in Astral Seal are worth it or did you just put them there because you didn't really have anywhere else to put them? :) The reason I ask is this: I agree that Astral Seal is, in 99% of cases in PvE, the right-click choice for our At-Will selection, however it's…
  • Power of Life would make sense if your group kept dying due to damage attrition (this does NOT count standing in red like an idiot though) even while they were standing in the AS circle. Since that is (almost) never the case, the value of Power of Life diminishes dramatically. On the other hand, Invigorated Healing might…
  • 1) 2 points in Toughness and 4 points in Domain Synergy are pretty useless. Especially with the aggro changes you do not need the extra hit points, unless you're mainly PvP'ing, and the points from Domain Synergy (well, all but 1, which you need to advance to the next tier) would be better off maxing out Healing Action. 2)…
  • I lolth'ed... If that group leader won't take someone with 9.8k GS because they're lacking 200 points in GS then he's an idiot.
  • Sorry, but... huh? If you're not trying to min/max, then you'll have a perfectly capable and flexible character even if you went 20/13/13/10/10/8 with your stats since, at 60, that can end up as 22/19/19/12/12/10, if you simply put all points into the secondary stats as you level. Through your gear alone you'll be able to…
  • Well... no matter what system they implement, ****s will always try to be ****s, and sometimes succeed. Grats, I guess? At least you won't get to be cheating ****s.
  • There are several reasons why a race change would be undesirable, both technical and not, such as: 1) As others have said, there may be complications in the database for characters who have completed racial quests, or other racial-specific aspects of the game. 2) Role-playing elements and immersion. On the other hand,…
  • The fix (or improvement, as warsiren put it) is indeed on the Preview Shard, but not yet on the Live servers. Patch is expected to go live on the 20th -- though I hope, hope, hope, that it'll receive a LOT more updates until then...
  • This, +1... I was going to write a post about how we'd not heard anything from the devs regarding all the feedback that's been going out with regards to the Preview Shard, when I saw that new patch notes had been posted and got all excited... for about 30 seconds, until I read through them. It's pretty disheartening :(
  • It's that extra "z" keeping them aloft... Sorry, couldn't resist :P
  • Most guides on this forum -- you can check Delstik's, Mewbrey's and unspecifiederror's guides for some very in-depth views which, though dissimilar, all work well depending on your playstyle -- offer insight on gear selection. In general though, aiming for around 3300 Crit and Recovery, 2000-2200 Defense and putting the…
  • Hmm... would undead crab legs continue to twitch?... That might get messy...
  • Given that each "team" will be random each time (unless, I suppose, you can queue a 20-man group from the same guild or something), and each will be taking players from the entire level 60 population of the server... you won't see gear saturation being an issue for quite a while. Also, if the items you get from Gauntlgrym…
  • They never have been. A law cannot be both "right" AND " just" at the same time, because it needs to be objective and not take into account mitigating circumstances. This is where, in the real world, courts and judges and the human element come into play, to mitigate the implacability of the law. In any case, however,…
  • Really? That's all you got from what I wrote? I said "whether it is morally wrong or not, it will have consequences". I will not even start a philosophical discussion with you about what is and is not morally wrong, and whether there is a universal morality standard or whether morality is dependent on individual or…
  • What has morality got to do with this? Who is to say whether a trade is unbalanced or not? You're not twisting any arms. Someone says they want to buy what you have, and you quote a price. They either take it or not. Are you supposed to do market research for them to see if there's someone out there selling cheaper so you…
  • Noooo! Not the muffing factories! . . . I'll deal with you tomorrow though! It's 1am and I'm going to bed!
  • Well, I don't know about the devs being greedy or not... Personally, I know that if a game comes down to the point where I have to spend money to even be able to complete normal content I'll simply stop playing, not go spend money on it... To clarify, I've got no problem whatsoever buying stuff in a game -- mounts,…
  • If the end-game content was trivial with a single cleric, in the current state of healing, then I could understand a nerf of healing ability. It's not though. Still requires skill and coordination -- and 90% of the time it's not doable in a pug, so luck is not really a factor either. I fully agree with removing the…
