Tried it through the weekend... and failed. Trying to replay the PvE missions was SO painful that I quit at lvl 12. Will wait for next PvP update, if it ever comes out and try then again. But I think until it's possible to level up via PvP I'll never return to STO for long. And it's really irittating cause I love Star Trek…

PvE maybe is aimed at casual player, because it (3k dil/day) makes it longer to play. Nothing more. PvP as is - nope. There is no need to change Sci ships (or cruisers, for that matter). The problem is that with the post-F2P changes the only character/BOFF/DOFF class that moved along the game content were tacs. If they ever fix Beam Arrays and DHCs Galaxy will be more useful. There is really no need for additional consoles or powers. Why the heck would one equip APO for it's hold resistance ONLY as this is what you suggest? It's Attack pattern. Use it to buff you damage, not your resistance to holds (though it does help, yes). GW from my point of view is pretty useless. At least in low level PvP. I got Intrepid (lvl 30) loaded up with 3 Graviton consoles, 9pts in Graviton Generator, Graviton deflector with [gra] boost so all you could get on this level to get maximum out of pure GW without DOFFs.
