The TRIBBLE's, in WWII, called the kilted Scots soldiers "The Ladies From Hell". They had a reputation among their enemies for never surrendering, never faltering. They were efficient, brave and relentless warriors. And, as someone else here has observed, the kilt allows greater freedom of movement. If, as a male, you've…
If you already own the T1 Connie you can use that for your AoY Fed. Or purchase it, alone or as part of the TOS pack. At Lvl 10 you join the current era to battle the Nakuhl incursion and have access to all Fed ships extant...
Same here! I was 9. Dad didn't care for it so Mom, myself and my siblings watched on the small TV upstairs. I remember "The High Chaparral" came on first then Star Trek. The first night, when I saw that ship, it was as if someone had taken all my childish dreams of space travel and space ships and handed them to a team of…
The Liberty Honor Guard is well populated, just a few projects from T5 and active (along with it's Fed sister the Liberty Task Force). We still have plenty of room on boards as well. You can apply at our website: Liberty Task Force
I run both a Defiant and a Fleet Norgh with all AP cannons fore and 360 degree AP Beam Arrays aft with Rapid fire and Beam Overload to good effect. Of course the Defiant has always had that one tac seat that no one knew what to do with... this helps that situation. On the Defiant I also run the KCB. I've run turrets but…
The issue with BO's sitting half buried in the floor is an OLD one (as in ancient... going back to the days when we all had to sit around playing STO by candle light). It's more common with the free bridges than with the store bought ones. However it even happens there as well. I remember one Fed bridge where the BO…
I have several but my Favorite is a Fleet Norgh that has been upgraded. It is the IKS Emerald Blade. It had been a while since I'd taken it out much. After the skill revamp I decided to give it a test and discovered that some of the changes in the new skill system have made it VERY viable again! Like everyone else BFAW had…
Perhaps you're worrying too much about the overall DPS. That's not the strength of a cannon boat. I know lots of folks that love to see my Fleet Norgh T5U, the I.K.S. Emerald Blade, come on the scene. No, at the end of the match I don't have the DPS overall. What I DO have is one hell of an Alpha strike. Slide up behind…
YES!!! I have hated most of the conflict story arcs to now. The Klingon war was okay but always felt wrong... almost everything since this has been worse. But now we're going against the True Way!! I get to KILL Religious Fanatics!! :D ... I am So EXCITED!!!
I currently have a Fleet Norgh T5U that is quite serviceable. I rarely PvP but it does quite well everywhere else and even in PvP is no pushover. AP DHC fore and Cutting Beam and Ancient Omni AP beam aft with the Obelisk warp core. The Captain is a TAC and his Alpha strike from cloak is a killer
Personally I see no reason for new factions unless STO is going to invent something of their own. My biggest complaint with Star Trek has always been that all of the "Aliens" are merely variations on a human theme. We already have 3 such playable "variants". If you want a truly new faction how about something truly ALIEN?…
DITTO to all of the above PLUS I'll be flying along in combat (or running in ground combat), line up on a target and *BAM*... my POV suddenly switches and I'm staring straight up or straight down or just anywhere but at the target! Very frustrating
My KDF Tac flies a Fleet Norgh, a Fleet Torkhat and a Fleet K'Tinga. All have been upgraded. The Norgh is favorite. Agile and fun and the least squishy of the BOP's. The Torkhat is a good, solid ship that can handle almost anything and the K'Tinga, while mainly for the pure fun of flying an iconic design I love, can hold…
I tend to prefer AP simply because the build is simpler and there's less of a "gamble" involved (ex: 10% chance of disabling one subsystem, etc.). But I also use Rom Plasma, Disruptor & Polarized/Elachi Disruptor all with quite equal effectiveness. My Rom Tac uses a Rom Plasma build that is deadly as hell... and my Klingon…
Thanks, everso! I did what you suggested. I did find more items my recruit needed to claim. I still can't access the Delta Recruit link on my other toons main screen (the one that opens up for my Recruit) but I was able to go to the agent in First City/ESD and claim a small reward. Wasn't much... 10 marks (whoopee! I'm…
Okay, created a Fed DR and played thru to DR Level 10 and got some nice (though not great) rewards for the new guy but none of my old toons on my account were able to claim anything. When I click on the Delta Recruit bar for them there's no response. That's the same bar I clicked on to claim the Recruits rewards. Delta…
What I would rather have are shards by version... a ST:TOS shard, ST:TNG shard, etc... each based on the iconic series in question... THAT would be grand (you'd find me on the TOS shard, always...)
YES!! Just this! The best Trek episodes are always those where the antagonist is an idea or a principle... not a person or a people. Some of the best stories involved little or no conflict. Problem solving was a major part of the attraction (and I don't mean stupid little mini-games like when you scan for anomalies). This…
Exactly! On top of the moral issues and the sheer waste of resources it bothers me because... where the hell are they getting the time, resources and money to build all these damn ships we keep blowing up?? I don't think any planet or even any Solar System could be THAT mineral rich!
