Interesting thing I've noticed lately, running GGA. The probe bug is still present, of course: if there's one on the field at the end, the mission doesn't seem to ever complete. However, on one occasion, after not completing with the last enemy killed, it finally did after about 20 seconds. Interesting. So the next time it…
It's been an issue since the mission was released. The explanation I've seen: if an entity from an enemy is still active when the last enemy is killed, the mission can't complete, resulting in no reward. It seems to take Cryptic about a year to fix queued content bugs that repeatedly waste players' time. Since it's been…
Noticing this issue as well. I bought ships for my Fed and Fed Rom toons, then switched over to KDF Rom and saw the discrepancy. Oddly, for this KDF Rom character (have not checked any others), Rom ships were discounted to the Fed level, but KDF ships were not. Hopefully this can be fixed before the sale ends. Re-buying…
From time to time in GGA during the final phase the system fails to recognize that all enemies have been killed, resulting in a fail, no rewards and 20 minutes down the drain. It's been this way since the queue was introduced. Hopefully someone's going to get around to addressing this since this issue was reported in this…
Same issue almost constantly since yesterday. Was only periodic over the last couple of weeks. Similar or better trace numbers than those posted above. Also Comcast. CCA stutters to the point of unplayability. If I don't get disconnected, for all intents and purposes I'm basically AFKing, because I'm contributing nothing,…
Another GGA completed with no reward payout. This team got the first optional easily, but had trouble in the final phase, a few seconds too slow. Once all the enemies were killed, the objective to defeat the Herald forces remained in effect, hence no completion and no reward. It's really aggravating to spend 15-20 minutes…
Here's the thing. The vast majority of the formerly desirable 12-hour assignments required some effort and time to seek out. For seasoned (read: bored) doffers grinding out spec points--an activity designed to liven up the endgame, which in turn livened up doffing--those assignments provided motivation to take the time to…
I've never had an issue at standard difficulty, but I only ran it a few times before moving on to advanced. However, I believe phase 3 is fundamentally flawed and poorly balanced... but only for bad or low-DPS teams. As long as it doesn't go on for too long, phase 3 is otherwise pretty easy. I'm a capable player. Out of 12…
Suppress Gorn Uprising -- success, using 5 VR doffs -- dropped from 8496 to 849 XP. You'd now have to run it 188 times to get one spec point, assuming no crits. There's absolutely no point in running it anymore, given such pathetic rewards and its propensity for injuring doffs. In fact, from a skill point perspective, for…
Pretty much. The main thing I'd want to do with a new ship is take it into an ISA to parse and get a sense for how it handles. I haven't been able to run even a halfway smooth ISA for months now. If I'm only running GGA every few days to work on Iconian rep, what exactly do I need a new ship for?
Does the Raider ramming speed attack ignore all resists or something? Brace for impact appears not to mitigate it at all, and they can kill you while you're under the damage immunity effect after activating rock and roll. In some matches phase 3 is absolutely awful in advanced, even for teams that breeze through phases 1…
I made an Omni AP beam the other day that went UR. It got [PvP Res]. You know how many players in STO want [PvP Res]? Zero. Not even the 5 people still playing PvP. A mod that exists purely to troll and waste resources--that's a characteristic of a crummy system.
Yet another release/promotion/event/ship pack shot into a quagmire of bugs and lag. I think I played ISA once over the dilithium weekend. Tough to work up the energy to care about a new ship pack when I'm barely playing a barely playable game.
If you have a team of friends and want to test it out, try intentionally failing the optional in phase 3. Wait until there's a couple giant balls of enemies, to reproduce what happens with a low-DPS team, even one that easily breezed through phase 2. Then try to take out the dread. The dread isn't the threat. It's mainly…
I've pugged GGA a lot. Only in the last day have I seen low DPS teams get absolutely hammered in phase 3. If the dread goes down quickly, nothing seems different. If not, the swarm of enemies gets immense, and it's a challenge not to die repeatedly. It doesn't help that the raiders damage you with ramming speed even with…
I'd love to see an all-Cryptic team stream their queued space content and pontificate on how fun it is to fail objectives due to months-long rampant lag and ability misfires.
I did not, but I think I've seen it mentioned there and elsewhere. I know I've reported the problem with the Epic EMH before, as have others. It seems to me like an oversight, not a bug. Hopefully it's not just going to be ignored for months. I personally haven't had much luck getting Bort's attention on doff issues.
Known issue--it's even on the patch notes from 4/23. Not sure when they're going to get to it, but it sure would be nice to get my 35 affected account bank slots back. >> Some items are missing in a players Account Bank, Fleet Bank, Exchange, and Mail. >> There is a fix currently being worked on for this and no items will…
Not sure if I'd call them broken, but they are both pretty silly and definitely not content I'd do for fun. They each have elements that remind me somewhat of Storming the Spire, where the tasks at hand can frequently feel like just slightly too much to do given the maneuverability of certain ships or the builds of your…
I'm not sure that the items are actually lost. And given that the issue affects so many slots in my account bank, I'm not sure how I could remember what every item was. I think it was mostly vendor trash and space combat drops, Mk X - XII. "Something" is still locked down into the affected slots. It's not visible and can't…
Aaand not fixed for S10 launch. Space combat is still incredibly laggy and abilities still misfire like mad. Some testers reported that a fix had come to Tribble, but I guess it hasn't made it to Holodeck. That's a shame.
There's an old issue that causes icons to disappear until refreshed, either by mousing over or changing menus a couple times. This definitely isn't that.
Same issue. Reported via Arc support, #150421-001380 As of season 10 launch today, I logged in to find that some of the items in my account bank seemed to be missing. The problem is as follows. Many slots are "blank" or black, as though they contain no items. However, no items can be moved to these particular blank slots,…
That's been my impression. It seems to get way worse under times of heavy load--where for a solid 10 minutes everyone on your team is lucky to get one FAW/CSV/SS activated per minute. Meanwhile the mission timer keeps ticking down and enemies keep moving. Issue unresolved/barely acknowledged + season 10 launches next week…
On top of the serious bugs STO is already dragging behind it, bugs that Cryptic barely acknowledges. It's hard to look forward to a new season and new content when queues are close to unplayable as is. What fun it'll be to lag through the Iconian Resistance rep!
After much prodding, Cryptic investigated this issue a while back and concluded that there was no bug affecting the Focused Singularity Beam. As you and anyone else who frequently used this ability is aware, they were quite wrong about that. Still, I wouldn't get my hopes up, as I highly doubt they're ever going to look at…
