I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to notice this. I remember reading how Cryptic was so excited to have her provide voice acting, but it wasn't that good at all. And yeah, I really wish there was an option to take out Slamek.
I think that we can all agree that STO has a much better F2P model than SWTOR. One of the sadder things is seeing F2P players in SWTOR defending the fact that they are being robbed.
I really hope it isn't another tribble. I barely have from for all the other tribbles and pets I currently have. A purple doff would be nice I suppose.
I had something very similar happen last time I played the CE. I got one-shot in my tank spec'd cruiser. As far as the CE event itself, I think it's great that it has been changed, but I would definitely welcome an "elite" version for those of us who have maxed out ship gear.
I use Antiproton cannons with the [Borg] modifier and I get crits on 7/10 shots I make. They really are the best damage dealing weapons in the game, but as someone else mentioned, their proc doesn't help the team at all (besides shredding hulls).
One of the main reasons it dropped was that fewer players are selling dilithium due to the reputation system and higher tier fleet projects. There are too many dilithium sinks, and yet no real increases in the amount of refined dilithium being produced. It's just a product of simple macro economics.
While it would be interesting if Cryptic added a voting system to fleets to help prevent fleet leaders from ruling with an iron fist, it won't solve all the problems. As many people have pointed out before, fleets are player run. They decide how to run their things and if the fleet leader decides to hold the fleet hostage,…
Yes, if you replay the episodes, you can earn Mk XI versions of the set. Actually replaying them for the parts is a decent way to make energy credits. Just make sure you sell them to a vendor.
I think they realized that most fleet that haven't finished this project can't. Does it suck for those that were hoping to finish it in the long term and should there be some sort of refund for the materials already put in? I think so. But I think Cryptic is making the best of a bad situation. And I do agree that we should…
The Matrix? :D And I agree, the whole "Ferengi just found them in space and then sells them" is pretty weak. I know they had to come up with some explanation, but it could be a bit better.
Honestly, I've always thought Archer was the most realistic of the captains. Sure he has quite a few character flaws, but to me, that makes him more human than the almost robot-like captains of the 24th century. Sisko would be a close second as most realistic. And I agree with everyone else about the Temperal Cold War.…
Considering modern militaries use 30 (in some cases 50) year old airframes with modernized weapon systems, I can see why STO is using the same premise.
Not sure if serious.... Beam Overload III combined with Purple Dual Beam Array is like having the Death Star laser. I can normally take out a shield facing or do 15K in hull damage without critting.
