I've had the same issues. On all characters.

Disconnects and major lag. It started about 20 hours ago and its almost unplayable.

Slightly concerned that not very many are having the same issues.

Heh didn't see this thread before I made one about the same issue. Yes experiencing a lot of disconnects and server not responding, and a lot of failed login attempts, as well as freeze frame lag followed by fast forward and all sorts of other anomalies heh if only we could get some particle traces from said anomalies would be in business ; )

I have been trying to log on and play the game for 4 hours now, every time I manage to log in I get a sever not responding message followed by that countdown. I have waited till the counter was at 150 before I shutdown and tried it again and again, I love STO i'm very addicted to the game as i'm sure a lot of other people are too but ever sense LOR came out there have been to many bugs and it seems with every patch they add to fix one more seem to pop up so I ask who else has had these problems lately?

    Hi Captains,

Thanks for the reports. Based on what we can see with the network, all appears well for STO; however, it seems that a few of you are experiencing some issue. So that our engineers can get more information, please reply and post your location, Internet Service Provider and a tracert result pointing to: patchserver.crypticstudios.com

Instructions for running a tracert: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=225155

Please also post results from a Nettest (make sure to remove reference to your local IP in the post). Instructions here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=225155

If your tracert and nettest results come back with optimal results based on the instructions and information linked above, please reply to this thread with the following items as you experience the lag in-game:

    • Type the following commands in the chat bar:
      • /netgraph 1
      • /nettiminggraph 1
        • Pass along a screenshot of the above using the following command in the chat bar: /screenshot_ui_jpg
    • The name of specific character that experienced the latency during the time the screenshot above was taken (no need to post an @handle, just character name)
    • The ship class that the named character was flying during the time the screenshot above was taken (or mention if this was on ground and not space, or both)
    • The time the screenshot above was taken (please be as accurate as possible)
    • The Map name and objective step you were on when the latency occurred and when the screenshot was taken

You can then type /netgraph 0 and /nettiminggraph 0 to turn off the above graphs.

If you'd like to help but you don't feel comfortable making a reply to this thread, please send me a forum PM.

    I'll pass these along. Thanks!

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

I'm trying to look at the nettiminggraph and was wondering if someone could post a screenshot of what a good graph should look like. I don't want to report anything that seems ordinary.

Just wondering, what Service Provider to all of you have? I have Century Link and I know one of the posters up above stated they have Century Link. Wondering if it's not all on Century Link's part if more have them for an ISP.

Calm down. Seems as if those of us having issues have one common denominator in this whole mess, Century Link. I've read reports that they've been having core router problems. I have a very good idea that they are the ones behind it all.

Oh I don't doubt it. I've seen my fair share of suck ISPs :)

It seems as soon as our packets hit "perfectworldent-4.border11.bsn.pnap.net", pings triple and half the packets get lost in some black hole.

Regardless of who's at fault here, I'm done. I can't play the game that I love with these issues. Which is sad as I just went Gold this past weekend. Cryptic obviously doesn't care otherwise all the lag and rubberbanding wouldn't be happening. They obviously don't care as they've shown that they don't care to do upgrades to their system, launch of LoR proved that. I don't know what happened to the Cryptic I used to know, the Cryptic that ran City of Heroes back in the day, but this is a farce anymore.

I'm not writing this in an rage-induced rant either. This is the honest truth. I'm perfectly calm, almost TOO calm. I've just given up.

    Peace to you all.

    Some other info:

    Ship: Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit
    Character: Marta
Location: Pretty much anywhere. Mostly space maps, but that just may be because that's what I play.

Also: I seem to be able to trigger rubber-banding on demand by either sustaining full impulse for a while, dropping out of full impulse, hitting quantum slipstream, or pulling sharp turns. Not every single time I think, but these seem to be the most common instances under which this occurs.

Let me know if you need any more data from me.

I'm just gonna say, I started playing this game 2 weeks ago, and am looking for a game to spend money in. All of these server issues I've been having, is making me start to doubt whether or not I want to spend ANY money here.

Things have gone from bad to worse.
Every time i try to log in now it takes 3 minutes to get thru patch screen Then 2 minutes to see character appear which appears at first to be the wrong character and then 2 minutes to get DISCONNECTED FOR UNKNOWN REASON.

Game has become almost unplayable today , maybe 10 minutes of play time in a hour between the crashing and freezing and crashing some more. Guess its time to throw on some netflix and watch a few episodes :P

This lag has been going on for me now for a solid 24 hours. The server ping spikes are all over the place. from 200 to 50,000. Server not responding, disconnects, rubber banding. I thought it was my connection as well, so i tried 3 others....same issue. Just purchased the lifetime sub... probably should have stayed free to play. But hey, they got my money now, why should they care if the game is unplayable.
