I finally got in on my Klingon Engineer.

I was in space above New Romulus.

I tried transferring maps to the Embassy.

48% or so later..."Server Not Responding."

EDIT: BTW...the nettest I was trying to run...still hasn't gotten past the first "Port 80". :(

EDIT 2: Gateway is unavailable to me.

definately something in the communication between the east coast bottleneck. Anyone know savvis's phone number or address :P

    yeahh, exact same problem here..

problem is, with others from atlanta to knoxville also not getting in and not going through saavis, it's looking like something else is going on.. I just dont know what at this moment.

From what I've read in this thread, that is pretty much useless.

I suspect your correct, but for some people, doing something no matter how futile it may be, is better than doing nothing at all.. I wish him luck..

    Hey Bran??
I know your still reading this because we've been civil and providing what we can of useable data so i know your there.. I'm curious. Does the login server have a load balancer?? If so, what is it doing??

I send a PM to a friend. it doesnt go through and i get booted. I change maps, i get booted. I login and get an error cannot connect to server(3) in the connection text box.
I mean, to me it seems the login server and load balancer are going draconic and simply booting people to maintain stability with the current population ( which from what glimpses i have had, seems to be rather high )..

also from the launcher window i sometimes get a popup web page res://ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff_webOC.htm. I do not know..

If this is what's going on, I'm not quite sure what that would also have to do with the rubber-banding (but no login problems) I and many other people are reporting. Unless, in "rationing" the game out (due to overcrowding), those of us lucky enough to get in aren't really getting "enough" bandwidth/responsiveness/whatever to play without problems.

Well, we know that as the local population increases, the load balance kicks in to move people to different instances of the game to maintain the lowest latency possible. but if the population continues to grow, the balancer can no longer maintain an acceptable latency as too many resources are being drawn upon. This introduces lag and rubber banding. If the population grows too large, the balancer simply puts each new process "on hold" in order to maintain the status quo. this introduces server timeouts and disconnects.. or at least thats my crazy and skewed rational..

    Holodeck Login issue.
When first trying to login the Launcher was giving me Error 14 after switching to Safe Mode I was able to get to the character selection screen but after 10 or 15 min I would get disconnected.

also not able to log onto Neverwinter

Is anyone else having issues ??

Honestly I do not think this has anything to do with server population, as I had the problem persist at 6AM MST this morning when almost no-one is on.

Update: Got in and made a few map transfers with my Klingon Engineer character. Transferred characters to a Federation Tactical and no issues. Deposited items into my bank, no problems. Transferred characters to a Klingon Science and got the "Server Not Responding" and disconnect.

A nettest at that moment timed out.

UPDATE 2: Don't have time for more testing, but it seems things may be fixed on my end. Map transfers are mostly smooth. And I'm in-game. That's the biggest thing *so far*. lol.

And as I typed that 2nd update, disconnected from server. :(

West Coast here, game is utterly unplayable for me. I've been having this problem for three days. (I put in a beg report a couple days ago.)

It happens on all characters and I am now unable to log in at all.

I have noticed that sector space seems to work fine for me, and usually ESD and other such public areas if I get in. Switching maps and combat instances tend to be most prone to this problem.

Am going through Savvis, and while they're jumping my ping 80ms, it's still at an average of 120ms ping over the past half hour or so at once per second.

Nettest is within the ranges noted in the other thread, too.

This is not a connection problem.

No, it isnt.. its coming right back to the patch server and login server and something one or the other of them is doing..

see, for me, at this very moment, the patcher isnt patching. its not even connecting.. weird... OH, its also not giving me a launcher version.

Oregon Here. Last night having the problem of getting disconnected everytime I switch maps. Big Dig was unplayable with rubberbanding and freezing. Today I can't even get the launcher to load, got in once disconnected 2 minutes later. Now the launcher just freezes. Just stupid at this point.

What was just horrible rubberbanding for me last night has progressed into being unable to log into my characters..

At this point, I don't even care about lagging, would just like to be able to log in and set my reputation projects :(
