  • Fantastic! Now here's a barrel of memories. Not to dredge up an old topic, but I quit for a while, and then after about a year decided to hit up the forums again. Naturally, the first thing I decided to do was search for my name (admit it, you've all done it at some point. You wanna see if anyone's talking about you). So…
  • Ah, I was wondering. I thought CQ owning both level 1 territories on LC was a temporary accidental mishap. I would strongly suggest that the rule is re-implemented. It's ridiculously easy to enforce, and doesn't require any code changes or anything at all. And it would do absolute wonders to help the balance of power on…
  • Mantavip is absolutely ungodly. He's a misery. He's a pain. He's ridiculously hard to find a party for. There's 3 main ways of doing him though: 1. Tanking him from the air 2. Tanking him from the water 3. Tanking him from the land. Lure him to a nearby island. Number 2 isn't recommended. It's rather suicidal. Most people…

  • Two main reasons for this: 1: People are still under level 20, leveling slowly, and not headed to Archo yet. 2: Dreamweaver is without a doubt, the most empty and least populated server there is.
  • Wrongo. I knew someone would say that. But as far as solo grinding goes, mages kill faster and cost less than BMs do. With the exception of solo AoEing BMs.. who kill faster, but cost a lot more. But no.. Wizards most definitely solo grind faster and more cost effectively than BMs do. This inferiority complex all the…
  • I'd advise getting yourself a cleric if possible.. But if you're all level 7x and decently geared up and/or on charms, then it should be possible. I can't see any pet other than a herc tanking him at that level in squad mode though. But I'd reckon that it's definitely quite possible indeed.
  • If you're using both charms and spending a ton on pots, you are most definitely doing it wrong. Very very very wrong. Severely ridiculously wrong. For one, outside of PvP, charms on veno are a waste of money. Just my 2 cents, but there's absolutely no reason to use them. If you're using your HP and mana recovery abilities…
  • Umm.. holy ****? You're making a TT60 weap into a +9? Duuuude.. save your money. There's really no reason to go beyond +2 on a TT60 weap.. at the very most. And that's only if you're Richie Rich. +9 is insane.
  • Ehhh.. sorry, but this guide is ****. Vit veno builds have their place, but they're not as godly as you try to make them out to be. You're spreading a bunch of misinformation around. I would suggest that anyone who's interested in a vit veno build take anything written in this guide with a grain of salt. It's not entirely…
  • GX is the way to go, even for tankers, if you can afford it. 5% of your health if a tiny amount if you have a cleric or two behind you. You won't even notice. And they'll do wonders for your PvPing. Weapon really doesn't affect your tanking all that much. You might as well go for the best PvP weapon, and then use that all…
  • The only one worth upgrading is pharmacist. The rest might be worth upping in the lategame, once you're rich and famous... but before that, nah. I wouldn't bother. Unless you're a zen-buyer and have the money to spare. But for me, I've always found it easier to get rich trustworthy friends to craft things for me. And then…
  • I always ignore this quest. It's not worth the time taken to kill the mobs. And then if you're unfortunate enough to kill all of the buggers, it's not worth the money you spend on the materials you need for the next part of the quest. The reward is something like 15k XP... most definitely not worth the time or money.
  • Well.. I mean. That explains it. I was always curious about why RK was staying there instead of being dislodged. I always assumed that Radiance had bigger fish to fry (ie. the rest of the map), and was just saving them for later. A dessert, if you will. It would be nice if Radiance would keep their fingers out of some the…
  • Your first problem.. you're a BM. They are the single worst class at making money. The absolute worst. The next problem is that you're most likely one of those people who throws something into the AH, whacks an insane price tag onto it, and then wonders why no one buys it. Either that or you're trying to sell crapola. AH…
  • There's no way the TW times are gonna change. Just pick either east coast or west coast, then roll with it. On a side note, I can't believe anyone actually played on PW-MS. I DLd and installed it.. but it was extremely obvious that PW-MS was gonna blow. It looked homemade. It was empty. It was identical to the private…
  • Not a good idea. And it's already been said before, repeatedly, that server transfers will never happen. You're either gonna need to stay put, or make a new character. Deal with it.
  • The damage is earth element, I believe. So might wanna prepare for that. Moving and running around is also the worst thing you can do, that'll just aggro more and make it a lot harder. Best bet, by all accounts, is to stand in the corner by the door. Kill the little physical mobs that come after you. If you don't move,…
  • The different starting locations will only be a factor for the first 20 levels. After that you'll all converge again. It's not even worth taking into account. As for the best party for 4 people.. there's not a whole lot of different ways to go about it. This is quite easily the most solid group: 1 barb 2 clerics 1 veno…
  • Made a toon on Harshlands, but it's substantially more laggy for me than HT, despite being in a better timezone. The Aussie timezone/location combo kinda buggers it up.
  • It is eventually. But for lvling purposes, it's best to plan your skills out a bit.
  • Tabbing at low health seems to be the most generally accepted way of dealing with it. Worked for me every time so far. How much health, however, is kinda debated. Personally, I think anything below 50% works fine. 30% is probably safer. At 10% you're starting to push it and risk tabbing too late.
  • Exactly. Duels and normal PvP really aren't comparable. 90% of the time, people who win in normal PvP will lose in those duels. It works both ways. Duels are the most true form of PvP, because they're the fairest. They're not the most useful, they're not the most common, but they're the fairest, and they're good for…
  • Impossible. Running in high heels would be like running downhill. Gravity would be with you!
  • You're looking at it all wrong.. Duels don't gimp barbs, they level the playing field. High level barbs with charms are just ridiculous. They're not gonna die in normal PvP unless they get ganked. They're rather overpowered.. dueling makes it fair.
  • There's pretty much no reason whatsoever to switch to Dreamweaver, unless you're still a full on lowbie on Sanc or HT. But a lot of the people who are switching to HL are coming from PvE servers, and wanna take a shot at the PvP aspect. So now's as good a time as any to switch to a PvP server. And then there's a lot of…
  • You personally will get less XP for each monster that is killed. But collectively, as a whole, your party will get a bit more XP per monster than you would alone.. if that makes sense. Not taking into account level differences and whatnot.
  • First off.. nice colours.. but mardi-gras isn't for a few days yet (looking forward to it, by the way. Should be very good indeed). 1. You can go inside some NPC buildings. The apothecary in south Archo has a nice open floor-plan single-room house. And no furniture.. but you can still go inside. And there's also various…
  • Mmm.. disagreeness. Duels are the truest representation of PvP. Charms don't work, everyone is prepared. The best duellers are the best PvPers. Duels aren't the most common sort of PvP though, which is why they tend to get disregarded. In a perfect world (har har), there would be more duels and less PK-type PvP. But play…
  • A good rule of thumb is to ignore the evasion ornaments completely, and just to use whichever is your weaker armour type. So heavy armour, you use magic ornaments, light or robe, you use pdef. But yeah.. basically what Yourmom said.

  • Yeah, you can do that for any gold or purple weap. It's definitely not worth doing it to gold weaps though. The mirages you get from it will only be worth a tiny fraction of what the gold is worth.
