Apples to Oranges. sad that people are so blind that they can't see the finger being given to them right in their faces. Character races are not skins, nor are they stats. They are far more important than any of that. If you can't understand why, stop playing MMORPGs since you clearly dont understand the RPG part. Leave…
In other words the changes are great becuase they take away the obscure and stupid system we have now that drives away anyone who hasn't been playing over a year or 3, and makes it simpler and more intuitive to gear up, becuase when people whine becuase they wont be special with your L33T gear anymore we know the changes…
I agree but if that is the case why is there such a lack of leveling content from 60-70? basically all I can find for quests at those levels is 2 Campaigns, Elemental Evil and Maze Engine (which is chronologically after Underdark which is level 70 for some reason?)
It's not just for suboptimal situations that a Healer or Tank needs Damage/Survivability. If someone is going to care enough about those roles to main one, they need to be able to solo in those roles without wanting to throw themselves off a cliff. I've played more than a few games which do a decent job of this. People…
I don't think adds on bosses are bad. I think that they only belong on SOME bosses. maybe half at most. Some bosses are better without adds, and it allows different mechanics to shine. And FYI a tank who cant deal at least 40% of dps damage is a tank nobody will be playing. Especially Paladin which doesn't even get a dps…
Well you're in a pathetically tiny minority. the boss is the main event, mobs are nothing but an annoyance most of the time. The only reason to have mobs is in case the boss has to be immune to crowd control, in that case, having a lot of mobs makes CC worth it.
The point the OP is making is that regardless of the fact people can play how they want no matter how the game is "balanced" there needs to be enough viable choices for endgame content as well. Right now we have a few "accepted" builds the endgame community uses, anyone not running these specific builds and gear is SOL,…
I agree except I don't think its the devs fault. its their bosses fault, at PWE, a greedy chinese company which sees its customers as disposable wipes. I think we do have some good devs who want to make the game better but are not allowed to/not given resources for, by the greedy overlords.
Yeah the argument for damageless tanks and healers has no merit and never did. Anyone who actually plays tank beyond futzing around at low level, Anyone who ever plays healer, would never support tanks and healers who have less than 30-40% the damage of dps. The only way for someone to promote the idea of lame meat shield…
And this is what is killing the game and making more and more people leave. Pre mod 16 cleric was actually fun playing as a healer/support. why? becuase it could do damage and heal with the same skills, it was actually fun. Like it or not damage is the most basic and essential part of any MMO, ANY. without it nothing gets…
I would like a boon system that does not give a straight up damage/healing/power increase at all and instead changes the way your build/abilities work to create more customization, however this kind of system is difficult to implement in a way that is balanced enough for there not to be "One true spec"
PWE isn't a company that cares about the product. The devs may care, and honestly want to give the players the great stuff they want, and more, but their bosses will never give them the resources/permissions to do that, since all they care about is fleecing the customers as much as possible.
I'm glad to have crit chance on any role, since I am of the relatively enlightened view that DPS is to some degree the job of every party member, tank and healer included. As tank, my main job is to hold aggro and not die, keep the boss from attacking my group and not me, but beyond that, the more damage I can do while…
Bugs can show up anywhere on any update in any game. in FFXIV a patch made a mildly annoying but not game breaking bug appear in any dungeon which had a lift players ride, but it was fixed by the next content patch. It would have been fixed much faster if it disrupted gameplay, and if it was easier to fix, I assume becuase…
ESO does something similar with a few of its dungeons like Unhallowed Grave, but the thing is a random group will NEVER do anything but the fastest most faceroll path, so its a feature for premade groups only.
How about fixing the bug that made aasimar appear as a "F you player" cash grabby exclusive, so it can appear in Zen store for the price of other race packs?
Nobody is asking for the hardest weapons to get not being the strongest for most builds, but there needs to be more hard to get weapons possible to earn in more ways. Lionheart is hard to get becuase it is from TOMM, there could be another that is hard to get simply becuase its a very long grind. There has to be a non…
I would much rather there be no defined BIS and BIS would depend entirely on build, class and many other variables like playstyle. Most weapons of equal quality and item level should be roughly equal for different builds, allowing the players actual choices on what to grind for. Agreed on mount and companions being too…
Oh you mean adventurer ones specifically? yeah I use those to get stuff to look cool, mostly not to use. If they change it, they need to leave us an easy way to get the same outfit looks.
Races are a 99.9% cosmetic choice to begin with. I just wish Aasimar was actually an option for people who werent there at a very specific window of time, and not a slap in the face forevermore to anyone who wasn't. They really are trying hard to drive people away into the open arms of games which don't treat customers as…
Race bonuses are really small by endgame to begin with, the only people who pick a race for stats are people who don't understand the RPG part of MMORPG and should be playing fortnite with the other poor folks who are devoid of imagination. Still, I'm not at all against making it even less of an issue.
