http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=15156361&postcount=301 This is what is being done on the STO forums. The mods there haven't edited it, so I'm not sure why it's being edited here.
I cannot support ARC. It runs in the background why? Posters on STO Forums have said that even though they have selected not to have stuff sent, ARC sends it anyway. Thanks, but no thanks.
Happened with me on the last livestream. Best thing to do is to keep checking the forums because Som usually posts this like 3 hours before the stream. Then you can set your own reminder.
Also keep in mind, that there are a lot of different titles in this game. Most of them are through progression, yes. In addition, there were and still are many promotional titles granted from different sites. Take a look at the official Neverwinter Wiki for promotions.
They may be referring to Account Guard. For me, whenever I use Gateway for various things, I'm sent an e-mail with a code that I have to enter. (Like Steam Guard)
I looked at it. I decided I still don't want more bloatware on my computer. So no. I've already saved my install launchers to Dropbox so that I will have them when I need them.
I'm sure someone out there will be able to link to the original file for NeverWinter. No one who enjoys keeping a neat, clean computer wants to download ARC.
If I recall correctly, they did this for all of Cryptic's games. If you have the original exe file, you should be okay. I'm sure someone here has it and can get it on a file sharing spot.
East Coast and Verizon FIOS user here as well. I'm not even able to get the launcher to run. Stuck at "Trying to Update Launcher. Please be patient." This is happening for all of the Cryptic/PWE games I play (This, STO, and CO). I'm almost tempted to start up Arc and see if that works, but I really don't want Arc....
Is your purchase still in pending status? That's what I'm waiting on currently. I spoke to support, and they sent me a link to the order form, and that's how I found out I'm still in a pending status. https://billing.perfectworld.com/feywildknight/complete This is the link that I was sent to.
An in-game item shop from an MMO still in Beta. They were the ones using that word so they could use it as an excuse for all the bugs and exploits in the game. So since prices weren't official (beta, folks. We're still in beta), I'd say refunding the difference in Zen is not unfair at all.
I've purchased $20 worth of Zen on this game. Bought a bag for my main, and a key. I do not plan on spending any more money unless I see a show of good faith by PWE to refund those people who purchased the soon-to-be discounted items with the amount of zen associated with the new price (not the sale price, because sales…
