In my case the game does a total crash on me after 10-20 minutes of game play resulting in a black screen that requires a 'forced' shut down/restart (i.e. me going hitting the off/on switch then hitting the start button). I think it has something to do with my NVIDIA card/drivers. However during that run time the game…
Well after going back to a previous build that worked fine as in game loading up and working. I decided to upgrade to the latest drivers last night and now the game crashed on me twice now since then so maybe it is a Cryptic problem.
Point noted dimitrik. Still it was a good ideal otherwise because it did point out the problem more clearly and helped me in troubleshooting this. Still I'm glad that they are working on it.
I finally got my launcher working again. But only after going back to a previous version (a 3 hour task). Looks like the newest version of 10 doesn't like champions.
Your 'cure' isn't exactly working with me aesica. Every time I 'kill' the hanged launcher I also kill the game itself form and drops me back to square one.
A game that I get great fun out of forgetting about the real world for a few hours. Allowing me to create a play a superhero and/or hero based on my own concept (be it original or homage) from start to finish that's actually part of the world not just a sidekick in a fast paced, (mostly) non complicated combat system.
My thoughts exactly. I play CO because-despite it's faults you actually play a hero. NOT a sidekick to a hero. from it's rookie beginnings to becoming on par with the champions themselves. Especially if you are using freeforms. DCUO does not alow this. Does the game need improvements. of course it does. But I hope CO soul…
It's the double-edge sword thing. And I fear that now CO is getting more known we can expect more attacks. But in spite of it all it's better than what was before.
This is the prime reason why I went lifetime (when I could afford to). So I can play the game just in case that happens to me (And still find myself paying roughly at least twice the sub fee montly in zen purchases-go figure) :D .
yeah. I see that message too (but you have to log on via the arc launcher to do so). and CO is on the list which means (if I got this right) it'll be at least 3pm est before the launcher is back up. Back to RL stuff then :)
I can only speak for myself but as a fellow ex-CoXer I say yes. In fact if possible go lifetime when the first sale comes up (but not before). As many already mention the freedom of free-form is enough to do so. And it looks like, for various reasons this game is going to stay put for a while. Anyway it's your choice. if…
yes. If you have a stand alone CO launcher then theirs a blurb on the far left that says "server status". If that's green it's up. If it's red its down.
