Good thought on switching to more ranged. On passives, does Shadow Form buff ego blades directly? Or Ego/Id buff Darkness powers? The descriptions on the mental and magic sets' passives leaves me confused (paranormal, dimensional, etc).
Fair point - so Madness Aura notwithstanding, does anyone have thoughts on the best passive to bridge the two sets from a DPS perspective? NW probably?

I definitely like the idea of more symmetry/interaction with the powers in the set. The new powers also lets an alchemist/mad scientist concept to be better realized.

Works MUCH better. I had a toon with some earth and fire powers mixed together previously - now I'm able to take him from a slow damaging wet noodle into a barn burner. I always charged up Pyre in the past and never considered firing off rapids taps. Melts folks!

Plus you can't have a teddy bear sitting on the barrel of your Burst Shot as it spits out thousands of rounds... Man, I love that weapon skin for gatling gun!
Great additions! The munitions build is fun (wouldn't have even thought to add certain powers but it makes total sense and works great in practice) and the Heavy Weapons build made me rethink how I stat/spec melee builds! Looking forward to fire!
