  • Unfortunately, that only changes the email for an account on the SITE. The game itself continues to require the old - discontinued or soon-to-be - email to log in.
  • I'd also like to know. I'm in a similar boat myself with Excite planning to discontinue its email service in a few weeks...
  • No, that's "Sphere of Influence", the line I mentioned of Koren's is from "A Step Between Stars." That's like in David Weber's 'Honorverse' stories, where the people of planet Grayson's idea of "classical" music is country-western.
  • For that matter, the Kelvans from the TOS episode who settled in our galaxy... The fact that the Kelvan Empire is in the Andromeda Galaxy, the Iconians spent the last 200,000 years in Andromeda, and we now have some degree of access to the Gateway Network makes things interesting. We could always end up help the Iconians…
  • Besides, in this instance the point isn't DPS or even kill count - it's having fun trying out a new idea.
  • Mixed... how?
  • The only problem I can see is that you may have proposed this a little early. There's always a one lockbox delay before they add to Infinity, so Tzenkathi won't be added until Discovery is discontinued and Discovery won't make it in until the one after it (Gamma? Hur'q? whatever they'll call it) is discontinued. That means…
  • ...Do I need to bring up Bashir in DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations"? :p Seriously, though, it's mostly a cosmetic thing. The game even still treats them like their 25c. counterparts in terms of buffs, debuffs, DOff buffs, what kit modules can be equipped, etc.
  • I think we're going to need to know your build, especially Impulse Engines, before we can really help much.
  • ...It's non-functional (Thank Gary Mitchell...), but I think the 2365-Galaxy interior actually does have one of the side-rooms listed as a head if one looks at the door signage. Honestly, if I wanted that level of immersion, I'd play "The Sims" or something; I don't want to worry about making sure my characters eat, sleep…
  • Yeah, but we actually saw the Defiant there in "Midnight" is the difference. Personally, I'm wanting to try a variant on the 'Lorca Manuver' when I run the mission with a minelayer; all stop, deploy mines (probably with a Pattern Beta dispersal), and then either 'Picard Manuver' out of there when they go active or sit…
  • Excellent. Since Mirror ships stopped being the Lockbox 'consolation' ship, I've thought we should be able to purchase Imperial skins and the I.S.S. prefix, so I'm glad to see this for the ships - and the Mirror Discovery uniform too. My Terran character (Starfleet Human, with the various Mirror costume accruments and so…
  • I haven't seen it either; just the Challenger, Reskava, Kor and Rotarran. ...Though considering that Commander Minna seemed to be in command of DS9, it could be supposed that Kurland was commanding the Defiant and we just never actually see it in the mission. Which, with all the destruction happening, makes me wonder about…
  • *Recoils* Hssss... first-person... No likes it... No, we's no likes it... *Chuckles.* Sorry. Had a moment there. Looks okay, but I've just got this thing that keeps me from really enjoying first-person POV games for some reason. Don't ask why, I don't know, I just don't.
  • ...Then I suggest avoiding Klingons supposedly defecting/taken as Prisoners-of-War reciting prayers about Kahless. And any Mirror counterparts you might have, for that matter. B)
  • Maybe so. I'd rather have a list that I only use a few times a year per character 'unnecessarily padded' than a ship roster that I use on a frequent basis, though. "The Borrowers" isn't that a book about tiny people, maybe an inch or so tall, that live in walls and under floors and 'borrow' things like bits of food, pencil…
  • Yeah, there's a lot of lines like that in the game. My personal favorite was "A Step Between Stars" when Koren started talking about 'you'll see what happens when a Klingon gets angry' to my Fed-Klingon. I was like "What, are you implying that I'm not a real Klingon or something?" Or all the times anyone in First City…
  • Huh, I've never been unable to use any form of repairs (Sci Team, Eng Team, EP2SI, EP2Shields, Miraculous Repairs, etc.) when the Coronal Discharge is going off. In fact, I've had it cut off early because I repaired my shield and was no long at 0% on a side...
  • Legacy of Romulus; up to LoR, you still had to visit the various departments to get Department Head DOff assignments ('Special Projects', Brig/Counselor, Chef, Bartender, etc.) then with the pretty to look at-nothing to do Romulan interior they all just got slapped into a console on the bridge and the same happening to Fed…
  • ...And the 'puke weapon' is, which one exactly?
  • Personally, considering that there's the "Enterprise" 'excursion caps', Pike's dress uniform cap from TOS: "The Cage", the similar caps seen in the Kelvin timeline movies, the 'Niners' caps from DS9... and let's not forget the fedoras worn by Kirk and co. in TOS: "A Piece of The Action"... Now this idea... I think there…
  • Let me guess; the former would end up with an android First Officer named 'Vinnie'? B)
  • Yep, it was the 1701-C's bridge too, if I remember right. Except for the Enterprise-D, just about every bridge we see in the movies or TNG is a redress of the Constitution refit bridge, even Stargazer, Sutherland, Hathaway, etc... From what I've read, the set was built like pie-slices so they could pull out stations and…
  • Actually, it may sound weird, but I think my favorite thing about the Interceptor isn't even the ship itself... It's the separation of ship and Warp Core in the Account Rewards Store. I love this, I really do. I love being able to claim the warp core for the set on different characters without having to claim the entire…
  • The thing is, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the different variants from the movies; especially since the same basic bridge was also used for not just the 1701 and 1701-A, but also for Grissom, Reliant and even Excelsior... (actually, Excelsior's variant is the one that I do remember…
  • Last thing I can actually remember being added to the GPL store was.... the Clubwear outfit and accompanying Dance manual. Which means nothing new in some three years. With the addition of Visual Slots, you'd think they'd at least add some vanity-only items to it...
  • And another point to consider; unlike some games where lockbox-equivilents can only be opened by expenditure of real world currency, it's entirely possible for an STO player to open lockboxes without ever spending a cent/pence/phennig/yen/etc. simply by using the Dilithium Exchange to convert their Refined Dilithium to Zen…
  • Cool. I liked Jayleh when I finally got a chance to watch "Beyond", not only was she the first truly new character introduced by the Kelvin timeline (Adm. Marcus doesn't count to me since the 'militaristic Admiral, et al' trope was well-used in TNG and DS9, such as Layton), with a great standout personality to boot, but…
  • They'll probably hold off for the moment and unleash a Megapack of ships or (pardon the pun) a 'Founder's Pack' of ships, costumes, etc. this summer to mark the new season/expansion.
  • ...I'm so having to fight making a joke about a certain line about kings from Discovery... Phaser has certainly been pulled from the gutter the last couple years; Mirror Agony, Kelvin Emitters, and now Discovery Linked phasers, plus the Bajoran Space Set. I don't necessarily know about 'king', but considering it's the…
