I suppose I was expecting more for the Dom faction that people have been hoping for for such a long time. To take their identity away right after giving to them, well, it's disheartening. I would've been happy with a half-faction like Romulans, but it seems like there's little incentive to play a Dominion character now.…
Kind of a disappointment that Jems have to share all their ships. I think people would have been fine if the Jems got their own and the lockbox ones were left as-is.
So everyone else gets all the Jem'Hadar faction's ships, and their own faction's unique ships, and Jem'Hadars only get the ships that they're sharing with everyone else? Seems like it takes away a lot from playing a Jem'Hadar character, if they have no unique ships of their own.
A new Mirror Event is good and all, but turning every event into making us log 14 of 21 days is just a silly way to pad their numbers. In my opinion, this shows they don't really care too much about our feedback. They got literally hundreds of pages of negative feedback on the forced logins from the solonae event. They…
I think the lack of response to all this feedback just shows they don't really care if we like the grind or not. They're just going to do what they want and ignore any players who don't like it. The only way anything gets changed around here is if a) it makes them more money or b) they have no other choice but to give in.…
If you take the word clues he's presented, and then take the letter suggested by the numbering of each clue, you get something interesting. ie (2 of 12) Amar Singh (9 of 12) James Moriarty The letters come out to 'dminsicoiert' which is an anagram of 'misdirection'.
Yeah I understand what you're saying. This thread even started too late for them to change anything anyways. Perhaps that's one of the reasons they like to play everything close to the vest until it's happening. (Though there are plenty of other good reasons) Either way, I think the issue is that they're not going to…
It really pisses me off that with all the negative feedback, and all the frustration some players are feeling here, that the community devs are simply going to ignore it. I can tell you exactly what's going to happen. Branflakes claims they're "listening", but they're not going to do anything about it. They just don't…
I think this is the biggest travesty of the thread. The community team is NOT doing it's job. It's supposed to communicate with the players, not dole out placating remarks and then act like everything's sunshine and butterflies in the world of STO. The amount of butterflies is too few!
Yup, the community team just isn't doing their job anymore. They say "we're listening to your feedback" in order to placate us and make us think they actually are. It's an attempt to make us think there's hope. However, that phrase means nothing without a follow up. The reason they don't come back and tell us what the…
Just a note to the people trying to claim Forums users are a minority and imply that means the feedback given here isn't as important, or suggesting that the people who aren't posting are happy: No, that's not how this works. You can talk about the percentages of how people who have voiced their opinion feel, and that's…
It's sad that they don't even care enough about the players to tell us what they did with all the feedback they "listened to". We know they just took our feedback and threw it in the trash, but they could have at least offered us the courtesy of "we considered the feedback and decided we made the right decision". Instead…
Pretty much this. If we had to spend 2 weeks doing a 15-mission arc where you could only complete 1 mission a day, but they were all different and had even a mediocre story, everyone would be super excited. It's not that we have to grind weeks for our "gift" (which is stupid imo), but the primary problem is we're doing…
So wait, if I understand this correctly, you're not actually giving us a ship anymore? You took the anniversary ship gift away and are giving us other things instead, but are conveniently letting us grind for a new ship at the same time as part of the same event? What's the justification for making players have to log in…
Wow so it looks like we're going to have to grind a few weeks for the 9-console version, and then they're just going to sell us a 10-console version in the c-store/fleet-store anyways. Way to go Cryptic. You took the exact same formula and simply added a grind to it.
The reality is it doesn't matter how good the ships are, the problem is the method of obtaining them. They're taking the anniversary celebration and turning it into another grind. In my opinion, that's a big middle finger to the entire STO community. What's the real point here? To make us go through something tedious so we…
There's another problem with the idea of us having to "earn" the ships this way: it's lazy design. We know it'll be a short mission that's relatively frivolous/pointless like a shell game or running in a circle. It's so pointless that the mission doesn't really matter, we know it'll only take like 5 minutes to do. So what…
I think the problem is this represents a shift towards a more (imo) greedy philosophy with regards to events. Normally anniversaries are about celebrating milestones, giving gifts to those who have continued to stick by the game. Previously, we got a (I'd say mediocre) ship just for being part of the continued community of…
Except the issue here isn't what's "king". If we only played what was "king" then we'd all play the same ship and there'd be no need for any others. We all know the system rewards dps most of all and anything else very poorly. The issue here is the lack of dedicated Romulan Science ships, aka ships with a Cmdr Sci slot.…
