Well, well, well, the Emergency Executive Producer Hologram returns.

Gonna be honest, the looming threat that is Arc has me worried. But I also know that it isn't your fault.

Anyways, I do remember you, if not as much as Stahl, D'angelo. Season 4 was back when I first started playing the game, so things were mostly 'new' to me still. Thus my feelings aren't as bad as some others here.

So, here's to seeing what you do.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Great D'Angelo is now in charge of STO again. He did a horrible job the first time. Why can't they hire someone else for the job?
    Playing since launch in 2010.

More like they call him when they need a super rush job for a game.

thats baisically like stating that PWE has no confidence in D'Angelo to get the job done. at some point you cant keep relying on Stahl to come back and change things, D'Angelo needs to learn this himself and PWE need to take the hit at some point.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Is DStahl like Cryptic's ace in the hole or something. The Super Project manager that they send in when they need a project to be whipped into shape? I guess it's good to be indispensable.

What in the? I need to get on his workout plan.

I think Cryptic could definitely do with fewer "rush jobs".

Well done Dan, you've led sto through turbulent times, and you've been given plenty of hard times from us sto fans. Good luck with your next Cryptic project. Looking forward to your direction Stephen!

I can only hope he will at least try to do something about these recent flamboyant game breaking changes to STO's game balance *coughtechdoffscoughelachiweaponscoughrommiescough*.

out of the pan and into the fire then.
so whats on the chopping block this time around? should i be looking to unload my ec reserves before they are converted to some ridiculously hard-capped new credit or whatnot then?
or is it fleets themselves in the firing line this time?
whatever is going to happen is certainly not going to be something that most would consider to be 'good'.

Great so we get back the guy who turned a game with a lot potential into... Well what we have now with his incompetent and awful f2p transition last time he was in charge is back.

Yeah... Guess I picked the wrong time to return to this game.

No offense meant Brandon, but wouldn't it be better to spend time fixing your current 3 projects (CO, STO and NW) rather than adding a 4th project, further diluting the workforce, and making all existing projects suffer?

Further, if this "top secret project" is a 4th game, it better be built on a NEW game engine. CO, STO and NW all share the same engine, and they all have similar issues that need fixing. But as we all know, those issues never get fixed. Rather, the "next big bucks" seems to be higher priority.

CO is already on a "maintenance mode" level of development. I assume STO isn't far behind.

    And this.

Hopefully with this change in leadership we'll finally start seeing a game that actually resembles Star Trek, and not just a game using the Star Trek name to try to draw people in.

Dan made a lot of broken promises over the past few seasons and really directed this game so far from being "Star Trek" that it really did leave a bad taste with quite a lot of people. Hopefully some/most of them will give the game another chance when/if it gets back on track.

Good luck Captain Stahl in your new assignment. Welcome back to the chair Captain D'angelo (A Romulan commander? :D ).

I have been thinking of this secret project lately and what was going on with it.

    And this.

Don't count on it - most of what happened During D'A's last reign was probably planned months before under D'Stahl, such is the nature of planning a large project of any sort.

Give the guy a chance, his last time in the centre seat was purely an interim capacity, it appears this is the real deal and might last. Let's give him due chance and wish him the best :)

Basically they have to run a scrip in the background and change everything from Star Trek to Generic Space Settings, change the models and presto. Would take less than three months to pull off AND it would actually not impact the player base that much. Pretty sure we'd see a massive influx of new steady players too.

Please don't turn STO into Escorting Vehicles & Equipment Online, a.k.a. Truck Driving School Online, what an insomniac's dream cure that is!

Hopefully, we'll all be reunited in STO Online II: The Search for More Money!

They changing Executive Producer as often as I change underwear (not literally speaking ofc)

I hope we getting something new from time to time, cause last time Stephen was in the chair all we got where patches to fix issues and bugs, which in itself isent a bad thing, but something new would be lovely for a change.
