Yep. still gone. Can't raid the transports north of the Kern system, because they were seemingly omitted from the new map. The indicator circle is there, but no transports.
I play KDF almost exclusively. The only time I break out the feds is when there's a dil event, ad I transfer all that to my Klinks. Maybe Cryptic is still gun-shy about the Bortas'qu fiasco, and afraid to make new ships. The new raptor and Intel cruiser, they're really nice, even though I'd have liked to see active sensors…
I like the ship, but after 2 years of flying a JHAS, the turn rate is excrutiatingly slow. Most likely, I'll fly it until I get the trait, then go back to the bug.
I suggested last year that the WE be moved to Andoria, and new map made, like they did for Risa. A lot of people liked it, but I'm not going to hold my breath til it happens.
I've been playing since Season 4. There's always been leechers, and there always will be. You'll never get rid of them entirely. I used to report them, but nothing comes of it. So now i just ridicule them mercilessly.
My favorite cruiser is still the Cardassian Galor, if you can get one. Tough, maneuverable, and the only ship with Spiral Wave disruptors. I've managed , through spec and gear selection, to get up over 60k hull and 16k shields, with good DR. My last PvP with it , I had a fleet Defiant-R with all elite gear pummel me for…
For crafting material, I recommend the exploratory missions. For the cost of a little time flying around, you can get your crafting materials free of charge. I've been playing STO since season 4, and it's changed a lot since then. This game is not that difficult. If it were any easier, you'd be issued Mk XIV Epic gear at…
Advanced missions are for *gasp* advanced players. Maybe youre just not good enough. Stop trying to nerf everything down to your level. Try getting better maybe.
I own most of the aforementioned ships. Here's my take on the subject. The JHAS is still the overall best escort in the game. There are other ships that do one thing better than the bug, but none have to "total package." For example, the Andorian escorts out DPS them, but don't turn as well, or have the survivability. The…
I don't know who your "vast majority are. But even if it's the 'vast majority" of people who post on the forums, that's a fraction of a percent of the total number of STO players. And therefore means little.
I could possibly see a T6 ship roughly based on the layout of a Miranda, but the Miranda class itself? Nah. That would be like bringing a stock Model T to a drag race.
The Bortas-screwed was the single most disappointing purchase I ever made in STO. I got it when it first came out, cashing in dil from 5 toons, back when dil was 350+ per zen. It's so slow it can't get out of its own way. The autocannon misses half the time. I finally dumped it for a Mogh when it came out, and that ship's…
Neither of them are worth the pixels they're made of IMO. Ponderously slow with an abysmal turn rate. I had the anniversary editions, and deleted them long ago.
If you want a cannon cruiser, you'd be better off with a Mogh, Vor'cha, or Tor'khat. The Neggie's layout pretty much consigns it to a tank role, a role I might add, in which it excels.
Tell you what, OP. You want a 10% chance of your items being destroyed, get yourself a trusty d10, roll for each of your items, and delete them on a roll of 1. You have what you "desperately" need, and the rest of us don't suffer for your idea.
You could put single cannons on an Intrepid, but by doing so you'd be losing subsystem targeting, which currently only works with beams. Oh wait.. canon... derp.. I suppose two phaser beam arrays , and a photon torp on on each end. Photons have higher base DPS than quantums, due to a faster firing rate. You want steady…
