I've been playing with weapon types for a few days on my Phantom. While I do love the brute force of DHCs , I will admit that using Dual Beams and Beam Arrays really adds to the sped and mobility of this ship. It's like flying a fast agile cruiser.

I have the Guardian and while its a decent Cruiser, it was a bit underwhelming. I went back to my escort and eventually got the Phantom which is actually proving to more versatile than I thought it would be. It really depends on what you want out of your ship. Get the Phantom. ThaTs my next purchase. I have the Guardian and honestly I'm not impressed. I keep going back to my heavy escort carrier because I love how an escort rips thru anything. Just my opinion of course.

It may not hold frigates, but I'm having a blast in the Armitage Heavy Escort Carrier... Alone it packs a pretty good punch and the fleet of Peregrine Fighters accompaning you is a nice added bonus.

I upgraded mine. I love this ship and enjoy this over my Gaurdian. I know there's better escorts out there, but with a wing of Peregrine Fighters backing you up, this is a darn good ship. I'm actually surprised there isn't more chatter about this vessel.

I'm still a bit of a newb at STO. But I recently just stopped playing EVE for awhile because that was a PVP based mmo where all you do is grind at boring content to fund your PVP losses. It's not that fun.

Thank you for the reply... I'm referring to whatever gets you the very rare ship weapon rewards. I was assuming it's missions that increases your reputation?

I may just start a third character... An Engineer and play that thru level 10. Then Hopefully I'll have an idea of what path Id prefer for the long haul. Out of the Science or Tactical, so far I prefer the tactical. However I'm not sure level 10 is a long enough try out.

Had the same exact thing happen. Contacted a GM and was told to fill out a bug report. Nothing they can do to replace my spent token. And I have no new ship to choose from. I ended up using another character, leveled it up to ten and had no problems getting into the Cruiser I purchased on the new character.

I started with a science captain. But when I got to level ten and got promoted, I bought a ship with my token... But the ship never showed up in my roster. They can't fix it either. So I started a new captain, tactical, and just leveled up to ten again and bought the engineering ship. Not sure how this will pan out... But…

UPDATE: I heard back from customer support already. I commend them on the quick reply considering I just submitted over the weekend. However, the advice I received was to double check my mission logs to make sure I've turned in my promotion mission and Episode missions as well. Not sure what to think considering I already…

Thanks for the replies! I did actually have the token from Quinn and purchased the Cruiser. Now I have no token left an no ship. I did not have a full inventory and have gone back to acquisition to see if my token would reappear. I'll keep this thread updated if/when I get a response to my ticket and/ or if the problem…

Not sure if it matters, but I am now up to level 11 and my purchased ship cannot be found. Sadly I am finding out that there are many bugs in this game.

Yes, I went over to the other NPC to select a ship after my purchase. Was that the correct way to do it? Still learning. Thank you for the reply.

I leveled up to ten, got my token, bought a cruiser... but when I went to select my ship... its not there. Just my fitted light cruiser... help!
