@nabreeki Look, I've got better things to do than argue with a Dental fella, alright. My only intention was to aid the player in selecting a fleet that doesn't have a goodly number of trolls within it. That's all. Why are you so bent out of shape over a reply, anyway? Seems to me that you're a bit ashamed of those trolls…
@nabreeki My only intent with my post was to warn the OP. It will always be their choice, but I wanted to give a warning as to how I, and many other players, see your fleet. I'm sorry you got terribly offended, but I'm afraid I don't have anything to say to someone with such thin skin. In fact, the derailment I saw started…
I don't see why people are struggling with the artifact hunt. At most it takes me five minutes and I'm usually a slow learner with these sorts of things...
@nabreeki I'm sorry, I only said that Dental had some more prominent bad apples then the others fleets. I was giving a warning. Was it shaming to warn a new player so they could find a fleet they could he happy in without drama? No, I don't think so. Nice try, though. Next time, try reading.
OP: I'm serious, message me if you want some good fleets to join. I'll help you out in vetting them, if you want. I've been you before, not too recently. I'm still trying to find decent fleets for my toons, I've just got the added problem of trying to find a decent RP fleet, instead of a decent regular fleet.
@nabreeki Even with my new contacts, your images still give me headaches. And really, why are you making such a big deal out of a simple fact such as your images not only giving people headaches, but having the potential to trigger seizures in people with epilepsy. Is this a big deal for you? I'm sorry, next time I'll try…
@nabreeki Yes, because I have the seven-eight hundred dollars it would take. Of course I do! It's not like I'm spending it on bills or food or anything like that.
You're still getting a massive savings, dude. The pack is discounted right now so you'd still save money even with the fact that you already have some of the parts. So... yeah. They've never given you stuff for having other stuff before and they're not going to.
OP: Turtlehead is basically saying what I was trying to say, he's just being more blunt. And really, I get a headache from those Dental forum signatures because I wear glasses that are out of date, but they're still an eyesore even with my new contacts. If you want, I can point you towards a couple fleets that I left for…
Fine, it's not a bump. It's me not having to come back later and potentially necro this thing from three pages in because nobody paid attention and we may need more recruits and not want to create a duplicate thread. At least... that's what I'm calling it. :D
OP, I just want to warn you: Starfleet Dental has some bad apples, as does every other fleet. Their bad apples have just gotten a bit more attention than others. I'm not saying the fleet is bad, I'm just saying their bad apples have been up to some stuff you'll likely hear about as soon as you mention "Starfleet Dental" in…
Dude, I've had it refuse to let me on at all and then it freezes and I gotta sit there playing the orientation game with my mouse or just randomly clicking until it gets its TRIBBLE together. And then there's the times it crashes. Only once, so far, but we're only a couple days into this.
Okay, if they're not one of your top three, don't buy things on them. That's my rule. Don't do it. You're wasting money. Just don't, because now you have too many toons.
@wombat140 Firstly, the post TNG/DS9 era gives us the aftermath of the Dominion War, or the Borg, things that we can work with in game instead of having to create new enemies to face because we're a little short on plausible enemies. Second, GMT... I'm not familiar with time zones, but I'm going to assume you live in…
The reason they have those photo shoot tickets is because cons usually pay actors for being there, thus, the photo shoot tickets are an excellent way of generating revenue to make up for that cost, plus, random selfies may be frowned upon, depending on how you go about it and how friendly the actor is. Photo shoot tickets…
The only problem I had was a random server disconnect in the middle of a powerboard race. Other than that, I'm usually on late at night when I'm the only one using my house's wifi, so I generally don't have many lag problems. I have the occasional rubber-band, but it's for maybe a meter or so and it's quick. I did notice…
This is the part where I feel grateful that I literally don't have a life or a job right now, so I have all the free time in the world. Outside of runs to McDonalds or someplace when I want greasy food without making it, I'm usually at home on my computer. On second thought, I have a horrible lifestyle but I'm too lazy to…
I mean, I had trouble finding spots, but whenever I was on, I only saw the occasional complaint. It was mostly just reminding people to kick down castles whenever they could because it literally only took 4 minutes to build a castle, thus, many people could get them done in the given amount of time. But, I do understand…
YAAAAAASSSSS DO THIS THING Literally, sandcastles were my favorite part. And, if they wanted to, they could shave a few minutes off the Horga'ahn hunt because, let's be honest, no one ever takes the full fifteen minutes unless they're on foot.
The important questions, indeed. 1.) I've got three slots right now, but I also have a couple toons who could do good as instructors (if this is going to go towards the "starting off as cadets" deal) so I'm open to either. 2.) I prefer post TNG/DS9 because there's so much more to work with there compared to TOS. 3.) Maybe…
Ten-Forward ain't got much for RPers. Most of the threads seem stagnant and the new threads created are kinda pointless in my opinion. I haven't seen much good forum RP around here. Okay, I haven't seen much good forum RP at all related to STO lately.
Wait, so is this temporal artifact hunt like the horga'hn hunt or is it the event we complete to get stuff for the ship? I must have skimmed that part at some point
Okay, hop on about two hours after maintenance is supposed to end for your time zone and you'll be fine. Hopping on an hour afterwards would be fine, but (in my opinion) two hours makes sure that they're done with everything and that it's all going decently.
