Risa is SUPER laggy...

I really dont mean to gripe here, but it seems as if Risa is even more laggy than last year. Powerboarding is darn near impossible, the floater event took longer than it did last year, and dont get me started on the Horge'hn hunt.... Is anyone else having problems with Risa?

    I have never done risa beside this year but yes I have found the lag near unbearable

    Yes it was horrible today, but better now that there are not as many people on.

    wasn't THAT bad but it was very noticable

    Smooth sailing on my end. No lag, no dc's, nothing :) Very surprising considering some lag always happens after the update

    Only issue I had was a brief freeze on logging in to a couple of my characters last night ~9:30 EST. Still managed to get five of them through the Hunt.

    Sounds like you've possibly been afflicted with the dreaded Risa FPS bug (See link in my sig for details). No known cure, adjusting graphical settings does nothing. Even the "fix" that went out a few weeks ago did nothing for those of us so affected.

    We've also had radio silence on this since the "fix."

    So sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :( My recommendation would be to go play something else instead of participating, until they actually do something about this. I can say that Fire Emblem Fates is pretty awesome so far...

    I noticed Fly High was a bit Buggy gate would appear the disappear.

    It's been well over a year now since this bug (or set of bugs) was first reported (on every single channel, for those just tuning in) so I really don't think that it's just a matter of pressuring cryptic to look into this. They're unable or unwilling to do anything about it. So, hang the sense and work around it.

    The ship may be something worth struggling through single digit FPS for but otherwise the event is a wash, again. But (to point something out for everyone who may be affected by this) that doesn't mean you can't buy into the new rewards. What I'm doing is just my normal stuff but I'm taking my EC piles and buying favors from the exchange. That gets me anything I want from the summer event store, minus the ground map (problems and all) and miscellaneous tasks.

    If I really want something tropical, I could always build myself a summer event mission in the Foundry (using maps I know won't randomly attack some people's CPU's) and its worth noting that the old Risa map is available (all it needs is a bit of infrastructure, which is totally doable.)

    The only problem I had was a random server disconnect in the middle of a powerboard race. Other than that, I'm usually on late at night when I'm the only one using my house's wifi, so I generally don't have many lag problems. I have the occasional rubber-band, but it's for maybe a meter or so and it's quick. I did notice some dude in a powerboard race doing some fierce rubber-banding and I pitied the dude.

    I had no problems with Risa at all, even when the instance was packed, not even rubber-banding.

    There was so much lag this morning, that I hit Dabo in the casino, and the GPL did not even register in my inventory... :/

    I have yet to encounter any lag whatsoever.
    Definitely not an Arc User.

    One of the lag issues I have notice is when trying to switch characters. It takes almost a minute, possibly two, to load them on to any open Risa map. The problem wasn't so bad the last couple of years, but this year, it seems to be a bigger issue.

    as I red this topic first i was like pff there is no lag on risa

    BUT jsut minutes ago I did the floater thingy and it was super laggy.....

    so appeared kinda random and was affecting risa ground only
